Dover, 37, then areas below freezing, vineland at freezing, wilmington, 32 degrees. If you want to compare to yesterday morning, look how much cooler we are. 12 degrees cooler in philadelphia. 14 degrees cooler in mount holly. Today it will stay chilly all day long for saturday. Frost advisory in effect throughout the morning. In philadelphia, delaware, and into cape may county. What that means, talking temperatures in the mid30s, but conditions are possible if you havent pulled in sensitive plants, and remember pets as well. Looking at a cold surge continuing through a cool day. It will be a dry day. Radar and satellite shows us no showers to track and done with the rain already in the forecast. Now dry days are ahead. University of pennsylvania is trying to find out who posted racist social media messages aimed at africanamerican freshmen. Monique braxton is live from University City this morning with the details on this and reaction from students. Monique . Reporter hi, rosemary. From what we learned from this investigation, University Officials have been able to trace messages to an account from oklahoma. Now it is quiet on the campus of university of pennsylvania but a much different reaction as they hunt for who is responsible. This is part of what one person received via text message from trump disciples. Over 100 students were september racial epithets and photographs of African Americans hanging from trees by nooses from users identifying themselves as daddy trump. Some messages sent from a social media app to the students in the form of an invitation called daily lynching. We spoke to students who attended a town hall meeting here. We are going to find and hunt down African Americans at the college, they said that, they made an event saying it is lynch day. It is very cowardly and i just want you to know that black students here and black people are very resilient, this is not going to break our spirit. In philadelphia neighborhoods, little better off than some areas where we see freezing values. 34 in endora, airport is 37 degrees. Look at center city at 40, rittenhouse, 38. Cold but above freezing mark. Thats not the case for the entire map. Summerton, 30 degrees. From philadelphia to parts of the delaware neighborhoods, also looking chilly. Definitely numbers below the 32 degree line. Harmony hills at 33. Marshallton is 31 degrees. Wilmington is better off with 35, odessa, 36 degrees. Numbers keep going around the 30s pretty much across the region which we did expect. Areas like harrington, 36 degrees, allendale, 34. We have better off temperatures, some relief, thanks to moderating effect from the bay. Lewis beach at 44 degrees. Not terrible to start the morning along the shore points. Radar and satellite, wider view for us shows we are clear throughout the area again. Plenty of sun in the forecast. Thats not the issue. The issue is cool air is filtering in and will continue to filter in today with more northwest flow which doesnt allow warmer air to come in. Warmer air west and southwest can pull in some of these temperatures south and west of us. Plus we will see a shift starting tomorrow. Thats when temperatures get better. Not today though. These are forecast highs, dont get a lot warmer than today. Some of us staying in the 40s, others in the 50s. 52 in center city, lansdale at 50. Allentown, 48 degrees for the forecast high temperature. Parts of delaware, new jersey, same situation. Low 50s at best, upper 40s, some of these cooler spots. Smyrna at 51 degrees for that forecast temperature. Take a close look at the hour by hour forecast. We are tracking Clear Conditions as i mentioned in the forecast today and those conditions continue throughout the entire day and actually through the overnight into your sunday morning as well. Looking at a clear weekend, just a cool weekend. Saturday even into sunday morning, and sunday should make it to the low 60s. It is timely considering next week is our Severe Weather winter. Basically means every day the First Alert Weather Team is visiting different malls in the region.
