we really couldn't ask for a better forecast than what we got this saturday into sunday. we're going to have some increasing temperatures, as we go through 2:00 tomorrow. and we are looking the at mostly sunshine by easter. today, a little different. it's a bit of a cooler start. 48 degrees right now in philadelphia. we have some upper 30s in vineland, mt. holly. trenton in the low 40s and allentown the same at 42 degrees. still, these temperatures are not too bad to begin. you might want a light jacket as you step out the door. as you go through the rest of today, you'll probably peel the jacket off. and radar and slate right natel now, a pretty clear picture. we're starting to see thin clouds trying to creep in from the southwest. that's going to continue to be a process through today. clouds mauoving in from the west-and southwest, which will provide us with mostly cloudy conditions later today and we're looking at breezy conditions for today, as well. for tonight, very mild temperatures and still just a little breezy. and by your easter sunday, warming up big-time, from 60s today to 80s tomorrow. and a bit more windy than breezy conditions, but still perfect for any outdoor plans you might have on easter sunday. coming up in a few minutes, we're going to go through the details of your saturday, but we'll also get into quite a bit of detail on your sunday, neighborhood by neighborhood, as well. >> looking forward to it. we'll see you shortly. thanks, krystal. this morning, philadelphia police are searching for a group of attackers that beat up two teenagers and sent them to the hospital. nbc 10's matt delucia is live at east detectives in juniata park. and matt, this random attack was all caught on camera. >> reporter: and that is the kind of thing that haunts these victims, especially because they can see this video that was recorded on their cell phone, but they do hope that at least some justice after what happened to them on their first day out together alone. here is that cell phone video. much of the attack was captured pu . you can hear more of the screaming there. jayla santana and miguel fernandez went to a carnival and when they were leaving, they say a group of teens attacked them for no reason. they didn't even recognize anyone in that group. jayla is still in a neck brace after what happened. earlier this week, she had a concussion. miguel had been covered in blood and he remains badly bruised. >> i blacked out at one point. >> as soon as she got in, she had to go straight into trauma. she was still screaming the whole time, walking and limping there. >> i'm just grateful from all the support i'm getting from like my family and all my friends. it's not going to stop us from going out on other dates. >> reporter: and that couple says they'll be back in school on monday morning. we did check with philadelphia police a few hours ago. they say as of right now, no update on the case and no arrests have been made. for now, i'm live outside east detectives, nbc 10 news. >> a difficult morning ahead for loved ones, grieving the victims of this deadly crash on philadelphia's roosevelt boulevard. family members tell us the two well were on their way to work when their suv slammed right into their parked truck. asia hollins died in the collision in fentonville. she was with her friend, marshay flo flowers, who also died. flowers' husband was driving them to work yesterday morning. the husband is recovering at the hospital. yesterday, hollins's mother and stepfather spoke to nbc 10 act the wreck that took their daughter's life. >> sitting there and thinking, like always, something's going on up there to the roosevelt boulevard. it happens to somebody else, but never happens to you. you kind of take things for granted. >> it's just too much. i do not cry no more. i tell her win love y, i love y you, asia. >> the park was trucked legally. police are now investigating this deadly crash. new this morning, police are investigating a sexual assault on the campus of the university of delaware in newark. investigators tell us it happened near midnight. right now they are looking for a man in a gray zipped up hoodie and khaki pants. police are also reminding students and others on campus to be aware of their surroundings. passengers traveling through new york's penn station are hoping for a calmer weekend after two innocents at the transportation hub last night. chaos erupted after amtrak police used a taser to arrest a man. some people thought the noise was a gunshot and started running, triggering a stampede. >> luggage, kids, everybody was running. we're just happy now that -- i think it's a false alarm. but everybody is just really nervous. >> a stampede? >> 16 people had to be treated for minor injuries following that stampede. tensions were already high at penn station after a power problem caused a new jersey transit train to get stuck in a tunnel between new jersey and new york for three hours yesterday afternoon. the power outage led to delays for both amtrak and new jersey transit trains. the trains finally pulled into penn station around 6:30 last nigh. this is the latest setback for new jersey transit this month. you may remember on april 3rd, a train derailed at penn station at the height of the morning rush hour. that shut down service out of manhattan for more than two hours. four people were hurt in that derailment. and just ten days before that, an acela train slipped off the tracks and bumped into a new jersey transit train, also at penn station. let's head now to south jersey in burlington county, where the fbi is looking into the murder of a woman and her 8-year-old son. last month, they were found stabbed to death in that you are home at the fox meadow apartments in maple shade. police tell us the woman's husband discovered the bodies. right now there are no arrests yesterday in this cause. calls for a philadelphia district attorney, seth williams, to resign are mounting. governor tom wolf says it's beyond time for williams to accept down as dach.a. his law license is suspended as he awaits trial, so williams will not be making any legal decisions while he's still in office. his trial is set for next month. today, christians in philadelphia will join others around the world in observing holy saturday. here's a live look at the cathedral basilica of saints peter and paul in center city. the easter vigil mass is set for 8:00 this evening at the basilica. several east masses are scheduled for tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. also today in philadelphia, ukrainian catholics will prepare for easter with the traditional blessing of holiday foods. three services will happen this afternoon at the cathedral of the immaculate conception. the phatful c faithful can brin easter food. tonight at the vatican, pope francis will be celebrating easter mass as a prelude to the holiday. the service at the vatican basilica will start at 2:30 today, philadelphia time. on good friday yesterday, christians observed the crucifixion of jesus christ. worshippers gathered at hope church in vorhees to pray and meditate. good friday is considered the most solemn observance on the christian calendar, traditionally a day for fasting and repent tanance. the easter bunny is getting ready to make his appearance. >> what is going on right now? a recent study found consumers who trade in their car pay an average of $990 dollars more. so don't trade in... sell it.... to we buy any car. learn more and get your free online valuation now at we buy any car dot com ♪ find out how much your car is worth at webuyanycar.com ♪ looks like something out of a movie. take a look at this funnel cloud that appeared to touch down in west texas, according to local reports there, this is one of at least six possible tornadoes in the area yesterday. fortunately, no reports of any injuries or any serious damage. from bucks county, watch how not to commit vandalism. this guy in the red shirt picks up a bench and tosses it. yeah, but it bounces off the railing and hits him. police in newtown township say several businesses on sycamore street were vandalized thursday night. right now, they are looking for the man in this video. you'll want to take a look at this video, as well. an ostrich running for his life in chester county. the ostrich escaped a barn fire at nearby canter hill farm. no animals were hurt. eventually, the ostrich was captured and will now spend time at a temporary home in exton. that was not the only animal on the loose this our area. this horse went on a scenic trip through philadelphia yesterday morning. the horse named big mama escaped from the fletcher street urban riding club in strawberry mansion and made it all the way to sugarhouse casino in fishtown before finally being corralled. >> he was coming, so i jumped and he hit me and i fell down, and i said wow! >> i wonder what route the horse took to get from strawberry mansion all the way down to delaware avenue. big mama, by the way, is doing just fine and she's now back at home. and of course, this is not the first time an animal has gotten loose on the streets of philly. this bull escaped a slaughterhouse last november. it was spotted on i-95 just outside of kensington school. a pennsylvania game conservation officer was forced to put the bull down because of concern for the public's safety. and in 2015, two zebras escaped from a circus in west philadelphia. one made it about two miles before finally being captured. an animal of a different kind, we're talking about a bunny, the easter bunny. here is an easter tradition in gloucester county you have to see. the easter bunny skydiving into williamstown. every year, this daredevil rabbit jumps out of a plane, thrilling crowds at cross keys aur airport. this year, they placed more than 12,000 easter eggs all over the landing area. what a great day for an easter egg hunt yesterday. even better today. meteorologist krystal klei has the details with the first alert neighborhood forecast. fill us in, krystal. >> a pretty good forecast both today and tomorrow. let's go through the detail first with today, this morning, just a little cool outside to start. and really, this isn't bad compared to where we were a month ago. we're talking 40s out there. 48 degrees, andorra, you're at 44. officially at the airport, 48 degrees, as well. mid-40s from parkwood stretching down to torresdale at 45 degrees. that's for our philadelphia neighborhoods. then we switch over to some of our delaware neighborhood temperatures, about the same. 44 degrees, harmony hills, marshalton at 45. and bridgedale at 51 degrees. middleton at 51 and rehoboth beach, same deal, 51 degrees right now. i wouldn't be surprised if later today, we do see some very low 70s this the southern-most parts of the state. here's our radar and satellite view. right now we have some thinner clouds starting to move in, but thicker cloud coverage is just off to the west of us and it will be spreading. today we are looking at increasing cloud coverage, although currently a closer view shows us that right in our area to start, we won't have those thicker clouds. that progresses through today. here's the easter weekend forecast. today, 67 in philadelphia. 66 in the suburbs. mid-60s through the lehigh valley, new jersey, even delaware, upper 60s. a tad cooler along the jersey shore. whew? because winds are coming in from the south. so we've got that ocean air influence that's going to keep temperatures down a tad. then we zboo your sunday and check out these temperatures. really nice for the morning mass, for the easter egg hunt, for a barbecue outside. anything you've got planned, pretty good. 85 and mostly sunny in philly. lehigh valley up to 80. late-day, may see some late isolated showers, along the shore, up to 71 degrees. and also mostly sunny. there will be some chances for moisture over the next 48 hours, but the good news is, most of it comes in the overnight, when it doesn't mess up any plans. here's the hour by hour, we zoom in quickly, you've got the clouds increasing as we go into the afternoon and they will linger in and out. isolated spot shower to the north of us. that's about it. as we go into our sunday, 7:30 a.m. that is out, we are mostly clear. so there is your forecast for easter sunday, right through 4:30 in the afternoon. still mostly sunny, but a little spot shower action starting of track along to the northern edge. and we continue to progress through to 9:30 p.m.. and what you can see here, it's very scattered and not very widespread, that we are looking at, green on the board. but still some spotty rain and isolated thunderstorm possible throughout the area, into 8:00 a.m. monday, though, we have dried out. and for the most part, we are looking at a nice day. future wind gusts, they start around 18 miles per hour, but pick up to 25-mile-per-hour gusts. breezy for today as we get into tomorrow, take a look at the forecast by the time we get into the afternoon, gusts up to the 30s for a windier forecast. we'll talk about the ten-day on 10 in the next half hour. >> announcer: this is sports desk brought to you by xfinity. phillies/nationals, good pitching last night. erin noles and strausberg. only two hits in his career against strausberg, both homers. that is tommy's first home run of the season. let's go to the ninth. it is 2-2, runners on furs and second for the phillies. tommy joseph will get tagd hege hear. the ball is clearly not in the glove, they still call it a double glove. daniel murphy to the left field corner. bryce harper, look at him running around and he scores. walk off win. phillies lose 3-2. here is pete mckinnon on letting gomer go two innings. >> it boils down to who you have available. that's his job now to give us multiple innings. >> all right, on to the sixers. brian kang lowe and brett brown spoke about the sixers' future. they say they're looking for shooters to play with ben simmons. how about that big question, where will ben simmons play?
