Good news is sunday things warm up. Look at a shift in the flow which means we are going to pull in warmer air. Good news for temperatures by sunday. Both days stay dry. Ahead, a chance of rain moves back in, moving into the next work week. Here is where we are now. 37 in philadelphia. That means this is the coldest temperature weve seen so far this season officially in philadelphia. A lot of us are around freezing. 32 degrees in wilmington, pots county, lancaster, 33, and allentown at 34 degrees. Atlantic city right below freezing and 31. Wildwood is better off at 41 degrees currently. For temperatures outside, very cool to start. Radar and satellite show us we are clear. No clouds to track. You notice the gray on the map, helps with the temperature reading. It is not clouds overhead. What we are looking at, we will see clouds and chances of rain. We will track that potential with the extended forecast coming up in a bit. This morning, africanamerican students at the university of pennsylvania along with campus authorities are outraged in the wake of racist social media messages targeting freshmen. Nbc10 Monique Braxton is live on campus with details of this. Good morning. Reporter hi, rosemary. Oklahoma seems to be the point of origin for messages sent to students at the university of penn. So far investigators tell us they still dont know who is responsible. This is part of what one africanamerican freshman received via text from a group identifying itself as trump did i siep he is on a social media app. Theres as many as 100 students sent racial epithets and photographs of African Americans hanging from trees by nooses from users identifying themselves as daddy trump. Some messages sent in the form of an invitation to a daily lynching, while on campus we saw freshmen attend a town hall meeting last night. We found theyre getting support from upper classmen. Everyone who understands what trump election has done to their country, we are here in support. Shock and disbelief. Then you kind of start thinking, really, should i be surprised by this . This is racism and it is explicit. Reporter mayor kenny urged Philadelphia Commission of human relations to investigate and issued a statement saying it is heartbreaking to see this type of activity here in the birthplace of our democracy and the city of brotherly love. Now, the College Republicans call the messages absolutely despicable, condemning them as well. Newly released video shows a haddon officer hanging on as they take off on a traffic spot. The suspect then tries to runoff and is shot during a fight with the officer which you see here. In the video you can hear the officer say he was unaware his weapon went off. The suspect is in jail and authorities are investigating this shooting. Today, Atlantic City police will host a basketball fundraiser for an officer shot in the line of duty. The officer was wounded in september. Opening ceremonies for that Charity Tournament are set for 9 30 this morning at Atlantic City high school. Games kickoff at 10 00 today and tomorrow. So weve got numbers that are cold to start and will continue throughout today. Were not going to see a lot of warmup in the forecast temperatures this afternoon because we have cool air coming into the area, on top of that, a flow, winds moving in from the northwest. Doesnt help with the chilly conditions. Throughout the morning, we are under a frost advisory. Thats the light blue. Thats through delaware and cape may.
