The hot humid conditions, those temperatures going to feel uncomfortable as we get into the afternoon, in fact, dangerous at some points notice afternoon thanks to that feel like company. We have a first alert that will continue through tuesday. We are not just talking your weekend, we talking monday and tuesday of your next week as well due to those temperatures feeling like 100 to 105 degrees in parts of philadelphia and surrounding areas. This is what we can expect as we move forward. Storms are in the forecast, scattered chances not guarantees but chances but thats what we move into next week. For right now lets talk temperatures. This is where we are at this morning, sitting at 67 mt. Pocono, 71 for allentown, pottstown 75 degrees and 77 in philadelphia. Notice a lot of these temperatures we are looking at right now mid upper 70s out there, 78 dover and cape may at 79 degrees. Now to our decision 2016 coverage. The democratic ticket is set, Hillary Clinton has picked virginia senator tim kaine as her Vice President ial running mate. Clinton will introduce kaine at a rally in miami today. The 58yearold senator served as the Democratic National Committee Chairman and in 2008 kaine was a finalist to become president obamas running mate. He is also a former governor of a crucial swing state, virginia. Hes well known and well received within the democratic establishment, but some critics say that kaine may be too safe a choice. Now of course this all comes ahead of the Democratic National convention. It is philadelphias turn to shine this week. It is early and quiet here inside the Convention Floor, you can see not too many people out here, were hearing power tools go off as they do their last work and there are workers taking downtime on the Convention Floor. The main prime time events will be here next week but later today in center city there will be some action. The rules Committee Meeting at the Pennsylvania Convention center. Theres already controversy around that. We captured a plane flying a banner yesterday it says end super delegates, that is expected to be what the rules committee mainly focuses on after the perception that super delegates rigged this process for the democratic nomination. Bernie sanders supporters have been vocal about this. We talked to some who are still ou next week. Ou listen. Just hold that quantum level thought that it is possible and when everybodys mind comes together, magic can happen. Reporter and there is a coalition of delegates of both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton supporters who will be at an event later today thats just before the rules committee particulars off. Talking about the Democratic National convention, it will be at the Wells Fargo Center and there will be a lot of south philly traffic restrictions because of it. Now, some ofck them started yesterday. So friday around 8 00 p. M. And they will last until about midday friday the 29th. Commercial vehicles that are weighing more than five tons will be restricted from a nine mile portion of 95 between exit 13 and exit 22 and although there wont be any full highway closures the north and southbound ramp from 95 to broad street will be closed on and off during this time. We will also have some planned street closures as well that began today and will run from broad street, 10th, 11th, pattison avenue, terminal avenue, hartranft street and darien street. Also taking a look at septa. Their airport line will be adding cars today and friday. The broad street line will be running extended express service from center city to the stadium avenue and patco will run extra cars and service. If you are expecting a package next week you may have to wait. Ups, fedex and dhl are warning customers about delays on express shipping in philadelphia because of the convention. This Morning Police are still trying to figure out why a gunman opened fire at a mall in munich, germany, killing nine people. Cellphone video appears to show the beginning of the rampage just outside of a mcdonalds. The 18yearold man dressed in black pulls a gun and starts shooting. Authorities say the german iranian gunman also wounded 16 people before taking his own life. Despite initial reports of three gunmen, investigators now believe the shooter acted alone. In south Jersey Police are searching for this man they say he hit a woman outside the chickfila restaurant on berlin cross keys road in gloucester township. According to officials the man picked up some money she dropped, she saw the man pick up the money first, when she went to talk to him about it the minivan took off and hit the victim. Out west firefighters in california are fighting a fast moving brush fire. 300 people are out of their homes in santa clarita, more than 1,000 acres have burned in a matter of hours. Hundreds of firefighters are battling these flames from the ground and from the air. The blaze is being fueled by triple digit temperatures out there along with gusty winds. New york city is confirming its first case of a baby born with a birth defect related to the zika virus. The City Health Department says the mother was infected while in an area known to have mosquitos transmitting the virus.
