Latest incident in a Community Shaken by recent wave of violence. Nbc matt delucia live for us with the breaking details. Reporter it has Police Taking notice and trying to see if theres a connection to all of this. First what happened overnight, a little after midnight on the 5200 block of germantown avenue. 19yearold woman shot in the foot. Police dont know if she was the intended target. Quite a few shell casings found in that spot. Taken to temple hospital. While police on that scene heard gunshots a couple of minutes away. This on the a,000 block of germantown avenue. Found a 22yearold lying on the sidewalk. Shot in the back. Rushed to temple in critical condition. Shes expected to survive. Einstein Medical Center says theyve got a 25yearold man who showed up with a gunshot to the back. Hes stable. Police found more than 30 shell casings at that location of the 5,000 block. Some bullets hit the businesses there. Police dont know what the motive is there and they do tell us the woman was not the intended target. She was an intent bystander there. Walking out of Chinese Restaurant at the time of the shooting. Two men firing the gunshots. Right now police are trying to connect the dots with all of this. Dinardo was arrested on unrelated gun charge. Family owns several properties the police have been searching. Sky force ten over one of those Properties Last night. Today the prosecution is expected to present more evidence in a preliminary hearing in the hazing death of a Penn State Fraternity pledge. Yesterday the prosecution presented add series of Text Messages related to the students death. A judge will decide if theres enough evidence to put 18 accused frat brothers on trial. Records and documents show the frat brothers waited 12 hours before calling for help for timothy piazza. Used the Text Messages from the defendant to try to make their case. One of those texts read i dont want to go to jail. Hazing is a huge thing. Another said make sure the pledges keep quiet about last night and the situation.
