A suspect is under arrest following a deadly shooting in philadelphia. Nbc 10 was on the scene on east tenth street in germantown where a man shot and killed a man on wednesday night. Police say they captured the suspect as they ran from the home. Officers recovered a gun, and they believe it is the murder weapon. Investigators say an argument led to the gun fire. A woman is under arrest and facing charges after a crash in Camden County and police accused her and someone else of overdosing with a child in the backseat of their car. The crash happened last night on eastbound 76 and Gloucester City near the ramp to 295 north. Police reported the two adults were unconscious when their car crashed. Medics took them to the hospital and working to find out their condition. The child was not hurt. We are also in touch with authorities to learn about specific charges in this case. In north jersey, 40 people are sick, possibly because of synthetic marijuana. Newark police say they were tipped off last week when they responded to a person foaming at the mouth. They got a dozen similar calls with some people going to the hospital. Officers arrested two men on possession charges. Authorities are looking for the source of the drug. The monuments glorify white supremacy. Earlier this Morning Police took down the Liberty Monument and Tactical Gear surrounded the monument and put up barricades and closed up the streets. The monument was dismantled from top to bottom. Several people gathered in a parking lot nearby to watch, but there were mixed feelings on the removal among the crowd. We are, of course, elated that had this monument is coming down and this is happening in the middle of the night when people cant come out and celebrate this great victory for the april of new orleans. The house is a home away from home for families with seriously ill children when they have traveled a far distance to get the medical care their children needs. 25 families stay with us while children are receiving care at the philadelphia and camden area. Why is it important to have a place for these families to stay. Gosh, otherwise theyd be sleeping in a chair in a hospital because its not just one night of hospitalization. It can be weeks or even months and they need a place to rest and regain strength overnight to take care of their children. It feels like home. It does. Beth, tell us how did you become involved with the Ronald Mcdonald house of new jersey . My father in law was on the board since 1989 and weve been in events. Unfortunately, when my son was 15 months old he was diagnosed with cancer, and i didnt use the house. We lived very close, but we saw the need firsthand for why the house was needed among families that we met in the hospital.
