tomorrow we will see more sunshine and lower humidity. through sussex county along the delaware beaches, we have cloud cover around but nice dry conditions. no rain heading this way for tonight. we expect nice conditions through most of the weekend, too. take a look at the temperatures along the shore. we have a pretty nice onshore wind flow. it's a little breezy in some cases so the moderate risk for rip currents will exist the rest of today and through the weekend. temperatures closer to the shore about the upper 70s. coming up, your extended shore forecast and the forecast if you are heading to made in america. it's becoming a labor day weekend tradition in philadelphia. the made in america music festival will bring 140,000 people to the parkway. a live look at the stage where beyonce, jay cole, meek mill, the weeknd will perform. the city laid out its plans to keep the sold-out festival safe. this is a chance for police to prepare for the arrival of the pope later this month. nbc 10's jesse gary is live along the parkway. this is almost a dress rehearsal. >> reporter: exactly. from the police that you see at almost every intersection in center city to the new signage like the one over my shoulder that's going up, in case of a crisis, philadelphia first responders ready to keep crowds safe this weekend and learn if there are any gaps in their plan leading up to the papal visit. >> we are here to both open up and get everybody ready for a great weekend. >> reporter: the weekend begins with finishing touches put in place to five stages that stretch from the art museum steps to 21st street. made in america grows one additional block this year. promoters say that will mean 10,000 more attendees. >> it's tremendously successful. i think people in the city love it. they have totally embraced it which is a great thing. the restaurants, the bars, the hotels are full. >> reporter: along the way, new signage is going up to make marking your spot easier in the event of an emergency. a combination of letters and numbers correspond to a grid system. >> it makes it easier for people to tell us where they are. all you have to do is look up and you can say i'm standing in the m-1, m-2. >> reporter: additionally, the deputy mayor says plain clothes and clandestine counter measures will be part of the joint activation center that will open tomorrow to keep human or electronic eyes on every part of the festival area. last year's sudden popup storms created a public safety risk that forced evacuations. the same system is in place this year as well as others being tested in advance of the pope's arrival. >> we will actually test and see how much usage we'll get and monitor all of that as we're here. >> reporter: you can see things are just about set and ready for tomorrow. made in america will start to break down on monday. there were initial fears that the four-day process would kind of butt into the setup for the pope's visit but after conferring today, city officials say they believe they will get everything broken down or removed from here from the parkway and surrounding areas by wednesday with maybe possibly a few hours overlap with a tap of the app. new video of a violent and apparently unprovoked attack on a man walking into a store. philadelphia police want to find the two men who beat and kicked the 60-year-old victim. he was going into a wine and spirits store on east erie avenue last month when the men jumped him. the victim was treated at the hospital. police ask if you recognize the attackers or the tow truck in the video, that you call them. from our delaware bureau, this is what police found in the home of a wilmington man. they say charles longacre was selling a large amount of prescription pills from his home. the seized drugs were worth about $1500. he faces drug charges as well as endangering the welfare of a child. parole denied. that's the verdict from a divided pennsylvania appeals court. the judges turned down an appeal to get out of a life sentence. bates killed 16-year-old c.j. edwards in easton when he was just 14 years old himself. the court voted 2-1 to keep him in state prison without the possibility of parole. the dissenting judge believed he could be rehabilitated if paroled. one northeast neighborhood woke up this morning to police pounding on their front doors. neighbors tell us the police were going door-to-door around 5:00 a.m. warning them that the street had started caving in. telling them to move their cars. it was the result of an eight-inch water main break that caused a huge sinkhole. about 50 houses were affected. the water was turned off most of the morning but it is back on now. in the last 30 minutes we learned how tickets to see the pope at independence mall will be given out to the public. the philadelphia archdiocese just released information we have been trying to get all day. nbc 10's lauren mayk is live in center city. what do people need to do? >> reporter: well, you will have to get three separate tickets if you want to go to all three of those public events and we just learned you will get your chance at the first batch of tickets at noon on tuesday. that's for the independence hall event. there's a special link for that. it is world meeting 2015.org/tickets. we will show that to you in just a moment. but you know, there could be a lot of people logging on for this so today, i went to find out just what it could take to keep things running smoothly. last big ticketing process for the pope's visit happened here at the offices of ticket leap. >> picked up a phone, it was literally ahead of i.t. at septa. he said you knew we're in a bind, is there anything you can do to help. >> reporter: the company stepped in to help fix a failing system for selling septa passes for the papal visit, anticipating high demand they built a lottery system. ticket leap is not working on handing out the tickets for the papal event in philadelphia but lee george tells me the same rules apply. >> the biggest thing we learned from our experience with this is that you can't tell everyone to show up at one place at one website at one time. and say now is the time to buy your tickets. it's just too dangerous. it's a recipe for a lot of trouble. >> reporter: we just learned the first batch of tickets, 10,000 for the independence hall event, will be released through this web link at noon on tuesday. george calls it a risky move to do it that way, but he doesn't know how the technical system is set up behind the scenes. organizers announced plans for the additional 25,000 tickets free to the public and available online after concerns raised about access. >> i don't think that we should have tickets for an event. i think it should be open for anyone to come out here. >> reporter: thousands more tickets will now be available but it's still not enough to convince some to make the trip. >> i just think if they didn't scare people so much like with everything, like fence this off, going to do this, i think you would have more of a response, more people would kind of want to come. >> reporter: the first tickets noon on tuesday. that's your first chance to get them. then the other tickets for the festival of families and for the mass, those will be available on wednesday through that same online link. street and johnson highway. officials tell us workers finished the project a year ahead of schedule. they added new sidewalks and street lights. 16 new trees will be planted this fall. in delaware, a $5 million grant will expand a small airport. it will be used to expand the runway and improve safety for pilots at the delaware air park. the delaware state university aviation program keeps planes at the airport. it also serves pilots from dover and central delaware. in philadelphia, labor day kicked off early in kensington. the kensington urban and business high school held its inaugural appointments available now. a homeowner is shot over $35. philadelphia police say a man forced his way inside a home on west york street this afternoon. the 48-year-old victim was shot in the leg. the robber got away with his wallet with $35 inside. the victim is in stable condition. new information on a story we first told you about monday night at 11:00. this video shows the man stealing a flag from a delaware county family's home. he ripped it off the front porch of the home in aston township. today, that flag is back where it belongs. the thief returned it today. the family says thank you. along with the flag, was this apology note and $20. the thief says he wasn't in his right mind when he took it. and he want tod pay for the broken flagpole. he said he was sorry to put the family through this suffering. neighborhood noise is at the heart of a bar fight in wilmington. residents say a popular night spot needs to turn off the music. the logan house in trolley square is the oldest irish bar in delaware and now wants to have live music later into the night. nbc 10's delaware bureau reporter tim furlong tells us that decision has some people raising their own voices. tim? >> reporter: that's right. it's considered this very hip neighborhood, great shopping, great restaurants, great bar scene but a lot of noise, lot of busy streets, there's a fire station. the train rumbles over that track all day. now some neighbors are concerned that this bar might be making the neighborhood much louder and much later. at 151 years old it's one of the area's oldest bars. some neighbors don't want it to be the loudest. the bar is an outdoor stage area. last night the owner asked for the right to use it more often and later at night. i'm told they had four bands play outside last year for charity functions. some neighbors say that was plenty. >> when you start to amplify everything, then it travels all over the neighborhood. >> reporter: neighbors and the owner of the bar say they have all tried to compromise but no agreement. the bar now has the ability to have outdoor music to 11:00 p.m. or 1:00 a.m. matthew used to live behind bars in new york. he said logan house was here first and he and his neighbors knew what they were getting when they moved here. >> if you didn't want the music, you shouldn't have moved into the city. >> reporter: some neighbors feel the bar is making them look like gruch fuddy-duddies. they really want a reasonable cap on the times and volume of outdoor music. they say seniors in the building down the street and everyone in the neighborhood deserves quiet nights. >> they're going to start being outside and having that music blaring until 1:00 in the morning, give me a break. that's not right. >> reporter: seems like a whole lot of he shaaid/she said stuff. the owner says he wants the same treatment and doesn't want to have a bad relationship with his neighbors but he wants to keep his business competitive which is tough in an area like this. the state will soon decide who wins this fight. we will let you know. tim furlong, nbc 10 news. labor day weekend fun as folks playing at the jersey shore. many people came down early to get an extra day on the beach. businesses on the wildwood boardwalk told nbc 10 they're glad the weather is cooperating. they're preparing for a busy crowd all the way through monday. visitors say it's all about relaxing and getting the final moments on the beach. >> soaking up the sun, getting the last minute deals, the last hurrah before the kids go back to school. >> a lot of lifeguards have already left the shore for the season, leaving some parts of the ocean closed. seasonal businesses say they will wait about a week after labor day to start shutting down. a seal pup rescued from a new jersey beach is getting a new home. this 1-year-old male harbor seal was found with puncture wounds on his back and neck in monmouth county on valentine's day. the marine mammal stranding center in brigantine nursed him back to health. now he is headed for a permanent home at the virginia aquarium and marine science center in virginia beach. well, a hot, humid start to your labor day weekend but really nice changes coming tomorrow. we do have at least one isolated thunderstorm across the area now and i think for the rest of the evening, we will stay relatively quiet. humidity will be breaking as we go over your weekend so it will feel really nice tomorrow. so the labor day forecast is looking good from the shore to philadelphia, where we have made in america. even nup in the poconos, mid 70. much of the area, around the mid 80s. glassboro, 77 degrees. atlantic city, 77 degrees. a little cooler along the shore with the onshore wind at the moment. we are mostly dry on radar. we still could have some cloud cover around that is causing kind of cloudy conditions along shore points. the only thunderstorm really is in lancaster county. this is right over 76. still near manheim. it's very slowly making its way to the west. eventually, it will be moving out. it's just been sitting in that area for awhile. poconos look great. great start to the labor day weekend. here's a look out at camel beach water park in the poconos. lot of people out there, still warm enough to be in the pool and still warm enough to be at the shore. now we are sliding down to cape mi county. here's a live look at cape may which will be packed as we go through the weekend. at the moment we do have cloud cover but across the weekend we will see more developing sunshine. here's future weather. all the rain that was around earlier this afternoon pretty much cleared out. tomorrow, more sun, less humidity. so that will make for a really comfortable saturday. saturday have to watch that. either way, won't be anything of much concern. going into monday, the sun hangs around but the humidity starts to creep back up. and the temperatures get hotter, too. for made in america, if you are heading there saturday and sunday, looks mostly sunny, temperatures the mid to upper 80s across the weekend. for beyonce saturday at 10:30, temperatures in the mid 70s. a little farther south, the mid 80s along virginia beach, north carolina and the farther north you go, ocean city, maryland, closer to 80 degrees. we did have rain lingering farther south. ocean city, new jersey, wildwood, temperatures there near 80 degrees. rehoboth beach around 77. and we will have a moderate risk for rip current across the weekend. so an extended look at your shore forecast for tomorrow, sunday, and monday labor day. temperatures right around 80 degrees, mostly sunny skies and that risk will be staying in the forecast for the rip currents. just be careful there. tonight,
