There was nothing in his apartment, his car, his phone that directly tied him to killing his child. Reporter in a retrial, both will get a chance to retool their argument. Anything in particular you would expect that would change . I think that the prosecution may try to focus more on aspects of the case that make the jury more comfortable to convict a father of killing his child other than we ruled out anybody else so it must be this guy. Reporter the next thing to look for in this case is july 5th. The judge set that date for both parties to come back and talk about what happened next. And in the meantime, djs attorney is going to file a motion to try to get his bail lowered and get him out of jail while they await a new trial. Quick question for you he was charged with firstdegree murder and child endangerment. The jury couldnt decide on either of those. Could the prosecution bring different charges for the next trial .
