Well, thats a phrase donald trump uttered countless times to contestants on the apprentice. Today thats what hes telling his campaign manager, Cory Lewandowski who has been with the campaign since it started. He made headlines in march when he grabbed a reporter at a campaign event. Even after his firing, lewandowski continues to stand by his former boss. Hes a thoroughbred, a person like donald trump who has had his heart and his finger on the pulse of the American People for a long time. Joining us again to break down the president ial race today, political analyst jim schultz for the republicans and Mark Alderman for the democrats. Thanks for being with us this afternoon. Lets start with the biggest headline today, donald trump Firing Campaign manager Cory Lewandowski. Some say that puts an end to a tumultuous stretch of Trumps Campaign. Does this move help or hurt Trumps Campaign . I think it helps the campaign. I dont think its as big of an issue as some are making it. We saul paul man fort getting more involved in the campaign. Cory lewandowski did a great job in the primary cycle. Didnt have to spend a lot of money, got his candidate elect dollar. 17 candidates across the board and his guy won. For the general election cycle, its a different game. Hell put a different field on the team to get it done. Trumps ship has taken on water. The question is whether firing lewandowski will right the sinking ship or blow another hole in the hull. Weve seen very little evidence that donald trump is mature enough to run a responsible campaign. I dont see this helping much. I do not underestimate Donald Trumps tenacity. Hes going to keep lying the the mayor condition people until the last vote is counted. Speaking of trump, in the past few days donald trump says the u. S. Should consider racial profiling against muslims in the aftermath of the orlando massacre. His controversial statements never cost him votes in the primary. Will it be different in the general election . Lets not forget, there have been groups that have been targeted and surveillance thats been undertaken by the fbi, nypd which pertains to mosques past 9 11 and it continued until 2014 when it was banned by the mayor. In this case it really is about scope and taking on isis t. Clinton campaign and the Obama Administration dont even admit that radical islamic terroristitearisrrorism exists. Obamas policy is to draw a line in the sand, move it closer. We saw it with the iran deal, with syria, we saw it pulling out of iraq early. Time and time again. 150 billion going to iran in a deal thats not good for the American People. We should be spending that money on fbi surveilling potential terrorists in this country. Where is the bottom, jim . How lowest going to go . I thought it had gone as low as it went last week when he accused the president of the United States of complicity in the orlando attacks. Now we are going to profile american citizens based on their religious beliefs . Were going to have a registry of american muslims . Has he ever read the constitution, jim . Do you think he got as far as the First Amendment . Unacceptable, unamerican. Mark, i have to tell you, theres no excuse for the way the obamaclinton administration has handled foreign policy. They were your words, saying theres going to be a registry. Of course there will be folks in this country subject to surveillance from time to time, not based upon their religion ethnicity, but the fact that there may be bad people in this country wanting to do bad things. Your candidate no excuse for unconstitutional measures, jim. This is america. We do not profile people based on their religious beliefs. The only thing the Obama Administration has done is make bad deals and turn money over to terrorist harboring nations. He should read at leers the First Amendment. That would be a start.
