Its deepening, in other words, its continuing to intensify. Now notice here saturday at 7 00 p. M. , it will be downgraded to a category 1, its pretty much going to hover around the area right around the gulf of texas for the next 72 to 96 hours. And even by next week, tuesday at k a. M. , this will still be a tropical system. Why is it that . Its because its feeding off all the moisture in the gulf. Temperatures are mainly in the mid to upper 80s. So a lot of fuel for Hurricane Harvey to continue to. Develop. So what do you need to know . It does spread the width of the Hurricane Force winds. In addition, were expecting 12 to 15 feet storm surge. Tornado watches and warnings have already been issued as rain bands start to move on shore.
