thousands in our area. faculty members in 14 state universities are now on strike. pro fess sorries walked off the job at 4:00 this morning. >> nbc 10 was at several of the schools today, professors at west chester university held picket signs and they marched on campus. the five local communities impacted. east stroutdsburg, kutztown, millersville, cookstown. >> randy, what is the pulse there on campus as the students are impacted by this strike? >> reporter: this is the scene happening at campuses all across pennsylvania. these professors left their offices and classrooms early this morning and they tell us they're not going back until they get what they're calling a fair contract. they're not even allowed to go back on to the campus itself, so they're out here on the street. some students supporting them, others questioning how long this strike could last. with classes shut down, students take to the streets, like cookstown senior ashley mave supporting the professors. >> i support them because they're my educators, they're my open door to my future. >> reporter: the factuality walked out this morning, demanding a new contract. >> it's an increase in co-pays, an increase in deductibles and very simply, the sicker you are, the more you pay. >> reporter: but the state system that runs these colleges faces a $56 million deficit. college costs are rising for everyone and they needed to save somewhere. teachers here are already paid well over the national average. the faculty disagrees saying this weakens education. >> you have to pay fairly to get the best people. >> for students it all means a week of confusion. >> it can affect our semester, i think they can get rid of our grades if it lasts too long, so i don't really want that to happen. >> reporter: and if this lasts for weeks, financial aid and graduation could be impacted. teachers here say they just want to be back in the class room with a fair deal. >> we're out for a while, we should be getting some sort of a refund. >> reporter: you can see people still out striking, protesting, it's unclear how long it could last because right now i'm told nobody is at the negotiating table, though both sides say they are willing to keep talking, the governor's office is telling both sides to come to a conclusion and end in strike. >> once again there are 14 state schools on strike, but penn state is not one of them. we have new details about the shooting on rittenhouse square, that left a good samaritan in the hospital. police are hot on the trail of the shooters. sydney long joins us live. >> reporter: the victim is 39-year-old good samaritan who tried to upset or intervene in the robbery that was unfolding here last night. police say he's noem ee's known rittenhouse park, sometimes he sells water, but tonight he's hospitalized and police say he's lucky to be alive. police are confident they will arrest a 17-year-old suspect for pulling the trigger tuesday night shooting the good samaritan four to five times. >> we actually were just talking about it when. it was definitely scary. >> reporter: police say only one suspect fired his gun, two men were armed as they approached a group in the park announcing a robbery. >> it's devastating, i don't want that to happen anywhere, but especially somewhere here where you feel like it's kind of the center of the city, where people are all the time. >> john echols is among those enjoying the summer in rittenhouse park today, hope that the park returns to what it's known for. the suspects parents are cooperating. they also interviewed the good samaritan victim, the man who was riding his bike before the bullets flew. police say as affluent an area as rittenhouse square is, it's not immune to crime or illegal activity. >> ever since the park has been being reconfigured and reskrukted, a little bit of the population here is changing a little bit. >> reporter: most who live and frequent the park say it shocks them that it happened here. >> we're not going to change anything about our lives, we love it here, we live here, we work here and we're not going anywhere. >> reporter: police know who the suspect is, they're not sharing the surveillance video with us, but they say it has proven to be helpful. and they have not recovered any weapon and they will also be looking to talk to that second suspect who was also armed. we will keep you posted as soon as there is an arrest. now to the weather. we hit a record today, no matter where you went today, what it was at the shore or right here in philadelphia, people spent plenty of time outside today if they could, but there is some rain coming our way to cool things off a bit. >> meteorologist krystal klie beautiful afternoon. i bet they didn't have to twist >> i volunteered to. if you're in the shade, it feels very nice. but if you're in direct sunlight, it probably feels hot to you, we have broken records all over the board. let's take a look at some of those numbers, wilmington now hitting that 87-degree high, way warmer than the previous record. philadelphia 86, by the way, that's 26 degrees warmer than average this time of year. allentown 84, and atlantic city breaking records as well. so across the map, we have seen those broken records. 82 degrees for cape may, wilmington at 87, redding earlier did tie the record that was set. and there's your radar and satellite looking at clear conditions. we have chances of rain moving in, and a big drop in those temperatures by your weekend, if you were ready for those fall like conditions to return, we'll have the details on all those changes coming up in a few minutes. to decision 2016 now, and the stage is set, we're just hours away from the final presidential debate in nevada inn, looking live outside the center where this is going to happen at unlv, hillary clinton is prepped for the last five days, staying off the campaign trail where donald trump has stayed on the campaign trail trying to win over voters. the debate just under five hours from now, and now there are six debate topics planned, each segment will get 15 minutes, lauren mayk is joining us from the las vegas area. what do voters want to hear tonight? >> reporter: different issues are important to different voters, but the one thing we heard over and over again is that voters want to hear these candidates talk about their own plans, instead of attacking their opponent. >> this is a problem in this country. >> reporter: in chester county, there's some frustration at this table about this year's presidential election. the two candidates might want to listen to mary lou dwyer, in the hotly contested philadelphia suburbs, she's still undecided as hillary clinton and donald trump head into their final debate. we heard the topics will be debt and entitlements, immigration, economy, supreme court, foreign hot spots and fitness to be president. >> which of those do you want to hear about. >> foreign hot spots? >> reporter: and why? >> because i think we live in a global economy, a larger world than just making fun of each other. >> reporter: what is your most important issue? >> i think the borders. i think it all comes down to the economic policy, how are you going to manage the budget? that's all i'm concerned about right now. >> i want them to talk more about specific foreign policy, rather than just staying isis, isis, i want them to say what their plan would be. >> reporter: in another political science classroom, there was suggestions. >> i would like to see some name dropping, as to who they would like to see in their cabinet. >> reporter: is anybody still undecided? >> he wants more policy talk from both, but isn't optimistic. >> i think this third debate will be full of a lot of attacks, i don't expect them to say anything. i really don't think there is something that could pull me either way. >> reporter: a lot of frustration out there. and in each of these debates, the moderator or moderators, they have a tough job. i'm going to run over to lester holt who was of course the first m debate moderator. >> both candidates are bringing special guests. president obama's half brother malik is attending. he is a trump supporter. so is the mother of benghazi attack mother michael smith. republican zone for meg whitman will be republican murray joins us live to let us know what we can expect from both candidates. >> sky force 10 over this crash between a school bus and a car in kensington. this happened at american and york streets, there were about a dozen kids on the bus from a charter school, fortunately no one was hurt. the jersey man who was accused of setting off bombs in new jersey and new york is out of the hospital and in state prison. ahmad rahimi is now -- and a pressure cooker bomb in new york city that injured nearly 30 people. right now firefighters are on the scene at a gas explosion at a popular shopping mall. the building is heavily damaged. four people including two firefighters were hurt, crews are still on the scene putting water on that building. and a russian hacker suspected of attacks in the u.s. is now in custody in prague. he was arrested in a hotel last week, but police waited to announce the arrest for, quote, tactical reasons. the united states has accused russia of hacking into e-mails of the democratic national committee to influence the american election. russia has denied it. a 4-year-old boy fell seven stories to his death last night. firms say the boy fell through a screen door, managed to get himself over the railing of the balcony. investigation is still ongoing. $20,000 reward is on the tab table. the man assaulted the two victims, took some items from the home and stole their 1997 red jeep cherokee with delaware plates. in newark, where a car and a school bus collided. it happened on old baltimore pike in salem park road. today a vigil was held for a local mother who was beaten to death. family, friends and co-workers gathered to celebrate her life today. police say the 22-year-old mother of two was beaten to death back in july. >> christopher qu calling for the school system to put walter g. smith school back on the map. >> save this school! save this school! . >> city councilmembers parents and members of the community came together demanding that the src reopen the school. the council voted to close 22 schools including walter g. smith. >> we know what the consequences of school closings did, they were poorly chosen. they were based off of faulty information, they don't transform neighborhoods and community. and too often, 3 1/2 years later, this building is empty, when it should be being used educating the children of this this weekend when temperatures are going to drop big-time in your forecast. here's where we are right now, your current temperatures 86 in the suburbs, philadelphia the same, 83 the lehigh valley and delaware at 87. that's close to 90. 83 south jersey and the shore is starting to slip down to 81 degrees. looking in your philadelphia neighborhoods here, we do have a few spots that are very close to 90 degrees. which is just strange to mention in october. 89 degrees, that's the number that we're seeing in graduate hospital. 84 degrees in center city, mantiyock. temps right now in the 80s. right now radar and satellite showing us we're pretty much entirely clear, in fact some scattered clouds are moving through, no rain to track, and we won't be tracking rain for the rest of today or even into tonight, but thursday into friday, that's when we pull in our chances of showers. and as you can see, it affects the forecast in a variety of ways, first off, it's going to bring some rain in, second off it's going to bring your temperatures down as well. by wednesday, 86 degrees, thursday, 77 degrees, friday, 74 degrees, but by your weekend there, we really drop off, 58 your forecast saturday, sunday at 60 degrees. so back to coats, jeans, boots, for your weekend forecast. and it's now looking like rain chances may even linger into your saturday. so there's the look here, thursday into friday, lingering into your saturday for areas like philadelphia and redding, little better chance we'll see rain friday for areas like dover and atlantic city, in fact for the shore, not likely >> nbc 10's first alert meteorologist krystal klie, the weather is going to change before the game? >> here's a look at rehoboth beach right now. we have been seeing sunny and mostly sunny conditions, scattered clouds throughout the entire region, and temperatures have been soaring, breaking records all over the place. delaware neighborhoods 83 degrees. and talliville sitting at 84 degrees. odessa sitting at 86 outside. lincoln is at 87. lewis beach and 77. and that shot we just saw in rehoboth, it's in the low 70s. now 72 degrees. so feeling a little better at some of those shore spots than the mid 80s we're seeing all over the place. now the suburbs, 78 degrees, euclid township. unionville at 83. this will not be the same case tomorrow, as tomorrow we will start to see those changes in our forecast, well to our west, we have got clouds, we have got rain, in our zone, it is still clear out there, high pressure still allowing for that warm air to funnel right on into our neck of the woods. that's going to start breaking down, which means that cooler air can finally make its way down and make us more seasonal for this time of year. but temps will be more than average tomorrow. fair mont 77, and allentown at 74. the 70s are going to be accompanied by the chance of showers, with some spot thunderstorms possible as well. although we're not saying this is going to be an all day event. it's looking like in the morning we're going to see some activity, as well as into the afternoon. jersey shore and long port at 73 degrees, andover at 76 degrees. it's looking like areas around the show in delaware is looking dry tomorrow, with some isolated potential through those zones. here's one model we're showing you breaking down the time frame here, we go from your wednesday night into thursday, these are the early am hours, showers are starting to build to the west of us, as we continue through the morning time, allentown looking at some showers, possibly could edge into philadelphia in the morning hours, there you see it continuing until about our lunchtime and then those showers moving off. leaving us with scattered showers activity into the early evening, 6:00 p.m., still clouds major head tomorrow, a little bit cooler temperatures, friday the chance of rain continuing, in fact we're going to see some of the stronger storms move west into friday morning, later in the day on friday, that's when we could see some of this rain edging in. i think this is pushing a little bit too far to the west by 4:00 in the afternoon, but the best chances will be friday late in the day into the evening, there we go into the night, 7:30, now chances are starting to pick up into new jersey and those chances do continue. now with a little shift with our models, keeping those chances of rain lingering into saturday. so at saturday morning, 11:00 a.m., it shows us rain chances will be lingering into your saturday. good news is they will not be lingering into your sunday. sunday a sunny forecast with that'sle eagles-viking game. start time for the game 1:00. 58 your temperature, and by end of game, 63 degrees. for the next seven days, the big drop in temperatures, 77 thursday, mid 70s friday, and then the 50s by your saturday, as we continue along, that's when we're talking 60s for you as we go into your next week as well. so we'll be in those low to mid 60s which is enough more average for this time of year. just some scattered clouds for the next week. >> the weekend looks pretty good, though. >> sunday's looking very good. and sunday looks like it's going to be lingering showers, but not the entire day. >> and tonight enjoy the evening, maybe take the dinner outside. a nonprofit makes dog treats from scratch. >> how you can treat your dog and help the community at the same time. plus has this happened to you? [ laughter ] thousands of blue tags. thousands of low prices. my giant. i've always taken on the status quo. in harrisburg, they didn't like it when i stopped their perks and pushed for reform. as head of pennsylvania's third-largest county, i cut out wall street middlemen to protect pensions. now, as chairman of the pennsylvania commission on crime, i'm leading the fight to stop the epidemic of heroin and opioid abuse. as attorney general, i'll prosecute anyone who scams our seniors. and i'll hold the oil and gas companies accountable to keep our drinking water safe. i'm josh shapiro. i'll be an attorney general who always fights for you. trying to make me eat my greens?low. no, just trying to save you some green. whaaat?! thousands of blue tags. thousands of low prices. my giant. right now at 5:00, pulled from the wreckage, sky force 10 captured this rescue just minutes after someone slashed a plane into their backyard and somehow avoided hitting any houses. >> now investigators are trying to figure out what caused this crash in camden county, within the past hour, nbc 10 has learned the small plane took off from an airport in medford, burlington county, it crashed about 20 miles later in lindenwold. >> ted greenberg has been following the breaking developments. >> reporter: shaun davy said that he immediately knew something was wrong when he saw a low flying lane over his neighborhood in lindenwold. seconds later it crashed on the other side of the street. >> the pilot was trying to keep control of the airplane, but clearly he had to take it down. >> reporter: sky force 10 was on the scene soon after the crash at 1:15 p.m. this woman lives in a house just feet away. >> kind of crazy, because it's such a -- there's so many houses and trees around here, but somehow it managed to miss everything. >> it looks like it came between, you know, about four homes kinds of on a diagonal. >> it took about 15 minutes for rescuers to cut the men out of the wreckage. investigators say that the plane had taken off from flying airport in medford. the database says it was built in 1976. police believe it had been represented in maryland and neither man on board was the owner. shaun davies is among those who had words of praise for the pilots who managed to avoid houses and people on the ground. >> he must be a very experienced pilot. anybody else in his shoes might not have done the same. >> that was ted greenberg reporting. it is unclear why that plane went down. federal investigators are on

thousands in our area. faculty members in 14 state universities are now on strike. pro fess sorries walked off the job at 4:00 this morning. >> nbc 10 was at several of the schools today, professors at west chester university held picket signs and they marched on campus. the five local communities impacted. east stroutdsburg, kutztown, millersville, cookstown. >> randy, what is the pulse there on campus as the students are impacted by this strike? >> reporter: this is the scene happening at campuses all across pennsylvania. these professors left their offices and classrooms early this morning and they tell us they're not going back until they get what they're calling a fair contract. they're not even allowed to go back on to the campus itself, so they're out here on the street. some students supporting them, others questioning how long this strike could last. with classes shut down, students take to the streets, like cookstown senior ashley mave supporting the professors. >> i support them because they're my educators, they're my open door to my future. >> reporter: the factuality walked out this morning, demanding a new contract. >> it's an increase in co-pays, an increase in deductibles and very simply, the sicker you are, the more you pay. >> reporter: but the state system that runs these colleges faces a $56 million deficit. college costs are rising for everyone and they needed to save somewhere. teachers here are already paid well over the national average. the faculty disagrees saying this weakens education. >> you have to pay fairly to get the best people. >> for students it all means a week of confusion. >> it can affect our semester, i think they can get rid of our grades if it lasts too long, so i don't really want that to happen. >> reporter: and if this lasts for weeks, financial aid and graduation could be impacted. teachers here say they just want to be back in the class room with a fair deal. >> we're out for a while, we should be getting some sort of a refund. >> reporter: you can see people still out striking, protesting, it's unclear how long it could last because right now i'm told nobody is at the negotiating table, though both sides say they are willing to keep talking, the governor's office is telling both sides to come to a conclusion and end in strike. >> once again there are 14 state schools on strike, but penn state is not one of them. we have new details about the shooting on rittenhouse square, that left a good samaritan in the hospital. police are hot on the trail of the shooters. sydney long joins us live. >> reporter: the victim is 39-year-old good samaritan who tried to upset or intervene in the robbery that was unfolding here last night. police say he's noem ee's known rittenhouse park, sometimes he sells water, but tonight he's hospitalized and police say he's lucky to be alive. police are confident they will arrest a 17-year-old suspect for pulling the trigger tuesday night shooting the good samaritan four to five times. >> we actually were just talking about it when. it was definitely scary. >> reporter: police say only one suspect fired his gun, two men were armed as they approached a group in the park announcing a robbery. >> it's devastating, i don't want that to happen anywhere, but especially somewhere here where you feel like it's kind of the center of the city, where people are all the time. >> john echols is among those enjoying the summer in rittenhouse park today, hope that the park returns to what it's known for. the suspects parents are cooperating. they also interviewed the good samaritan victim, the man who was riding his bike before the bullets flew. police say as affluent an area as rittenhouse square is, it's not immune to crime or illegal activity. >> ever since the park has been being reconfigured and reskrukted, a little bit of the population here is changing a little bit. >> reporter: most who live and frequent the park say it shocks them that it happened here. >> we're not going to change anything about our lives, we love it here, we live here, we work here and we're not going anywhere. >> reporter: police know who the suspect is, they're not sharing the surveillance video with us, but they say it has proven to be helpful. and they have not recovered any weapon and they will also be looking to talk to that second suspect who was also armed. we will keep you posted as soon as there is an arrest. now to the weather. we hit a record today, no matter where you went today, what it was at the shore or right here in philadelphia, people spent plenty of time outside today if they could, but there is some rain coming our way to cool things off a bit. >> meteorologist krystal klie beautiful afternoon. i bet they didn't have to twist >> i volunteered to. if you're in the shade, it feels very nice. but if you're in direct sunlight, it probably feels hot to you, we have broken records all over the board. let's take a look at some of those numbers, wilmington now hitting that 87-degree high, way warmer than the previous record. philadelphia 86, by the way, that's 26 degrees warmer than average this time of year. allentown 84, and atlantic city breaking records as well. so across the map, we have seen those broken records. 82 degrees for cape may, wilmington at 87, redding earlier did tie the record that was set. and there's your radar and satellite looking at clear conditions. we have chances of rain moving in, and a big drop in those temperatures by your weekend, if you were ready for those fall like conditions to return, we'll have the details on all those changes coming up in a few minutes. to decision 2016 now, and the stage is set, we're just hours away from the final presidential debate in nevada inn, looking live outside the center where this is going to happen at unlv, hillary clinton is prepped for the last five days, staying off the campaign trail where donald trump has stayed on the campaign trail trying to win over voters. the debate just under five hours from now, and now there are six debate topics planned, each segment will get 15 minutes, lauren mayk is joining us from the las vegas area. what do voters want to hear tonight? >> reporter: different issues are important to different voters, but the one thing we heard over and over again is that voters want to hear these candidates talk about their own plans, instead of attacking their opponent. >> this is a problem in this country. >> reporter: in chester county, there's some frustration at this table about this year's presidential election. the two candidates might want to listen to mary lou dwyer, in the hotly contested philadelphia suburbs, she's still undecided as hillary clinton and donald trump head into their final debate. we heard the topics will be debt and entitlements, immigration, economy, supreme court, foreign hot spots and fitness to be president. >> which of those do you want to hear about. >> foreign hot spots? >> reporter: and why? >> because i think we live in a global economy, a larger world than just making fun of each other. >> reporter: what is your most important issue? >> i think the borders. i think it all comes down to the economic policy, how are you going to manage the budget? that's all i'm concerned about right now. >> i want them to talk more about specific foreign policy, rather than just staying isis, isis, i want them to say what their plan would be. >> reporter: in another political science classroom, there was suggestions. >> i would like to see some name dropping, as to who they would like to see in their cabinet. >> reporter: is anybody still undecided? >> he wants more policy talk from both, but isn't optimistic. >> i think this third debate will be full of a lot of attacks, i don't expect them to say anything. i really don't think there is something that could pull me either way. >> reporter: a lot of frustration out there. and in each of these debates, the moderator or moderators, they have a tough job. i'm going to run over to lester holt who was of course the first m debate moderator. >> both candidates are bringing special guests. president obama's half brother malik is attending. he is a trump supporter. so is the mother of benghazi attack mother michael smith. republican zone for meg whitman will be republican guests. nbc 10 is the place to watch the debate at 9:00. lauren mayk will be in the spin room for the reaction to the debate tonight. what should voters be on the lookout for in political editor mark murray joins us live to let us know what we can expect from both candidates. >> sky force 10 over this crash between a school bus and a car in kensington. this happened at american and york streets, there were about a dozen kids on the bus from a charter school, fortunately no one was hurt. the jersey man who was accused of setting off bombs in new jersey and new york is out of the hospital and in state prison. ahmad rahimi is now -- and a pressure cooker bomb in new york city that injured nearly 30 people. right now firefighters are on the scene at a gas explosion at a popular shopping mall. the building is heavily damaged. four people including two firefighters were hurt, crews are still on the scene putting water on that building. and a russian hacker suspected of attacks in the u.s. is now in custody in prague. he was arrested in a hotel last week, but police waited to announce the arrest for, quote, tactical reasons. the united states has accused russia of hacking into e-mails of the democratic national committee to influence the american election. russia has denied it. a 4-year-old boy fell seven stories to his death last night. firms say the boy fell through a screen door, managed to get himself over the railing of the balcony. investigation is still ongoing. $20,000 reward is on the tab table. the man assaulted the two victims, took some items from the home and stole their 1997 red jeep cherokee with delaware plates. in newark, where a car and a school bus collided. it happened on old baltimore pike in salem park road. today a vigil was held for a local mother who was beaten to death. family, friends and co-workers gathered to celebrate her life today. police say the 22-year-old mother of two was beaten to death back in july. >> christopher qu ar uaw eay. >> they also raised money to help support joyce's two children. in hamilton a car crashed into a building early this morning. you can see that car on a tow truck at the intersection of third state and bellevue avenue, no one was injured. warning for pet owners in camden county, a raccoon tested positive for rabies after it comit two dogs in hadden heights last week. the dogs were in their yard, jackie. >> the daub dogs were up to dat their rabies vaccine. if your animal gets bit by another animal to get them to the vet. city council voted that cars, trucks and other vehicles can no longer be left on front lawns, they can still be parked on side lawns or in backyards. cars parked in the front of the house must be in a driveway and not block any sidewalks. philadelphia is calling for the school system to put walter g. smith school back on the map. >> save this school! save this school! . >> city councilmembers parents and members of the community came together demanding that the src reopen the school. the council voted to close 22 schools including walter g. smith. >> we know what the consequences of school closings did, they were poorly chosen. they were based off of faulty information, they don't transform neighborhoods and community. and too often, 3 1/2 years later, this building is empty, when it should be being used educating the children of this community. >> the matter is now tied up in the courts. we're a little more than the week from the schuylkill ragatta. >> a mayor's cup will be awarded to the first place winners. also this year a race will be dedicated to the memory of former police commissioner john ken penman. >> what could be more important than teaching young people the skills necessary to row. team work, keeping your body krystal klei is back to tell us. >> temperatures way warmer than is typical and warmer than what is record for this point in the year. this is a live look outside wilmington, delaware, we have got these great sunny conditions, and scattered clouds overhead. you can see looking out over philadelphia, center city, but you're hot in the direct sunlight. it's going to feel a lot better than say this weekend when temperatures are going to drop big-time in your forecast. here's where we are right now, your current temperatures 86 in the suburbs, philadelphia the same, 83 the lehigh valley and delaware at 87. that's close to 90. 83 south jersey and the shore is starting to slip down to 81 degrees. looking in your philadelphia neighborhoods here, we do have a few spots that are very close to 90 degrees. which is just strange to mention in october. 89 degrees, that's the number that we're seeing in graduate hospital. 84 degrees in center city, mantiyock. temps right now in the 80s. right now radar and satellite showing us we're pretty much entirely clear, in fact some scattered clouds are moving through, no rain to track, and we won't be tracking rain for the rest of today or even into tonight, but thursday into friday, that's when we pull in our chances of showers. and as you can see, it affects the forecast in a variety of ways, first off, it's going to bring some rain in, second off it's going to bring your temperatures down as well. by wednesday, 86 degrees, thursday, 77 degrees, friday, 74 degrees, but by your weekend there, we really drop off, 58 your forecast saturday, sunday at 60 degrees. so back to coats, jeans, boots, for your weekend forecast. and it's now looking like rain chances may even linger into your saturday. so there's the look here, thursday into friday, lingering into your saturday for areas like philadelphia and redding, little better chance we'll see rain friday for areas like dover and atlantic city, in fact for the shore, not likely to see much storm activity for your thursday, staying on the dry side. here's a look at that 10-day on 10. first seven day, 77 degrees for your thursday, 74 degrees for your friday, chance of showers >> reporter: you know, if the path to presidential debates or any kind of pro log, i would end up expecting a very contentious and divisive debates, all of our sources say that donald trump nor hillary clinton will shake each other's hands like they didn't at the last debate. this is going to be a lot of tough rhetoric, and i think what we have seen in the last two debates will play out here tonight. >> how have the first two debates changed how people are voting and how crucial is this evening for both of them. >> reporter: this evening is very crucial for donald trump, he finds himself trailing in almost every national or important battleground poll that we have seen so far, and so he needs something to be able to run on in the next three weeks before election day. as far as the debates move the needle, our polling suggests that it actually has, 31 of voters saying they're more likely to vote for hillary clinton after the first two debates, versus only 14% after the second debate. you can tell by that 2-1 margins that voters seem to think that hillary clinton has done better than donald trump has. >> mark murray live from las vegas, where we're all be watching tonight. >> you can also watch nbc 10 news at 11:00, lauren mayk is going to be live from the spin room with reaction to that debate. 21% of registered voters say they approve of the job governor chris christies doing. 62% disapprove. that's the lowest approval rating yet for the new jersey governor. now to this, an nbc 10 responds. today, we can tell you in this nbc 10 responds, a wife bought her husband a certificate for a hot air balloon ride. >> sounds great, right? >> nbc 10's first alert meteorologist krystal klie, the weather is going to change before the game? >> here's a look at rehoboth beach right now. we have been seeing sunny and mostly sunny conditions, scattered clouds throughout the entire region, and temperatures have been soaring, breaking records all over the place. delaware neighborhoods 83 degrees. and talliville sitting at 84 degrees. odessa sitting at 86 outside. lincoln is at 87. lewis beach and 77. and that shot we just saw in rehoboth, it's in the low 70s. now 72 degrees. so feeling a little better at some of those shore spots than the mid 80s we're seeing all over the place. now the suburbs, 78 degrees, euclid township. unionville at 83. this will not be the same case tomorrow, as tomorrow we will start to see those changes in our forecast, well to our west, we have got clouds, we have got rain, in our zone, it is still clear out there, high pressure still allowing for that warm air to funnel right on into our neck of the woods. that's going to start breaking down, which means that cooler air can finally make its way down and make us more seasonal for this time of year. but temps will be more than average tomorrow. fair mont 77, and allentown at 74. the 70s are going to be accompanied by the chance of showers, with some spot thunderstorms possible as well. although we're not saying this is going to be an all day event. it's looking like in the morning we're going to see some activity, as well as into the afternoon. jersey shore and long port at 73 degrees, andover at 76 degrees. it's looking like areas around the show in delaware is looking dry tomorrow, with some isolated potential through those zones. here's one model we're showing you breaking down the time frame here, we go from your wednesday night into thursday, these are the early am hours, showers are starting to build to the west of us, as we continue through the morning time, allentown looking at some showers, possibly could edge into philadelphia in the morning hours, there you see it continuing until about our lunchtime and then those showers moving off. leaving us with scattered showers activity into the early evening, 6:00 p.m., still clouds major head tomorrow, a little bit cooler temperatures, friday the chance of rain continuing, in fact we're going to see some of the stronger storms move west into friday morning, later in the day on friday, that's when we could see some of this rain edging in. i think this is pushing a little bit too far to the west by 4:00 in the afternoon, but the best chances will be friday late in the day into the evening, there we go into the night, 7:30, now chances are starting to pick up into new jersey and those chances do continue. now with a little shift with our models, keeping those chances of rain lingering into saturday. so at saturday morning, 11:00 a.m., it shows us rain chances will be lingering into your saturday. good news is they will not be lingering into your sunday. sunday a sunny forecast with that'sle eagles-viking game. start time for the game 1:00. 58 your temperature, and by end of game, 63 degrees. for the next seven days, the big drop in temperatures, 77 thursday, mid 70s friday, and then the 50s by your saturday, as we continue along, that's when we're talking 60s for you as we go into your next week as well. so we'll be in those low to mid 60s which is enough more average for this time of year. just some scattered clouds for the next week. >> the weekend looks pretty good, though. >> sunday's looking very good. and sunday looks like it's going to be lingering showers, but not the entire day. >> and tonight enjoy the evening, maybe take the dinner outside. a nonprofit makes dog treats from scratch. >> how you can treat your dog and help the community at the same time. plus has this happened to you?
