paperwork says some of the inappropriate touching between the 40-year-old staffer and 13-year-old girl happened at this school in his office behind closed doors. at least six different times. we went to where he lives and met neighbors who were shocked by the allegations. at the address listed for marcus forte no one answered the door. but we heard a dog. the same one janice brown says she would see forte walking around the neighborhood. >> i used to quite often see him every morning when i went to work. >> reporter: janice told us she hasn't seen forte around the last couple of months. now she's learned he's in jail for inappropriate behavior with a 13-year-old girl who is a student at gwinnett mercy academy. >> he was nice. i'm really stunned. >> reporter: a criminal complaint says the 40-year-old who worked in the school's i.t. department began sending suggestive facebook and text messages to the girl last halloween. in one text conversation the young girl told forte, "you took hugs to the extreme today." forte asked if that upset her and she said yes. police also say the student would sit on forte's lap in his office during lunch where he would kiss her face and neck. the girl said forte inappropriately touched her and tried to make out with her at her home. when investigators spoke to forte earlier this month, he denied that he touched the 13-year-old but then said it was accidental. >> i'm flabbergasted, to be honest with you. it's sickening. >> reporter: a statement from the school says forte left before these allegations were made known. we also know that forte knew the 13-year-old's mom, but investigators did not say what their relationship was. in lohr gwynedd township i'm brandon hudson, nbc 10 news. turning now to our weather, nbc 10 first alert tracking some rain out there. some areas of philadelphia and south jersey still seeing the wet stuff right now. this was the scene a few hurz go in old city. you see the umbrellas were out as people walked around 3rd and market tonight. let's get the latest on what you'll wake up to from nbc 10 first alert meteorologist sheena parveen. >> we still have the rain around right now and we could even see some rain around for the morning commute and even before it is that right. here's a look at the radar. we still have some pretty heavy rain right around the philadelphia area. this extends up through parts of burlington gloucester camden counties. this is pretty heavy rain over the major interstates. even through parts of delaware county. and it does extend down into newcastle county. you see the yellows, oranges and reds here right around middletown up to wilmington. that shows us the heavier rain. it's all going to continue moving into parts of new jersey. i think we're going to see it for a little while longer. here's your morning forecast. by 8:00 a.m. we'll see some scattered showers around, especially around the philadelphia area, up through trenton. basically along the i-95 corridor. temperatures rights around 70 2k3wr50i78gz. the rain continues as we go through the afternoon with the chance for some thormz norms high temperatures close to 80 degrees. but parts of the area could even see some severe norms that's mostly going to be confined to the lehigh valley. coming up we'll talk about that severe threat for tomorrow and the timing of it as well. that's straight ahead. >> see you soon, sheena. new at 11:00, a philadelphia man arrested for killing his girlfriend with a cross-bow has been charged with murder tonight. the suspect is 40-year-old paul kuzan. last night police found the woman bleeding heavily in her neighbor's doorway on willlets road in northeast philadelphia. she later died at the hospital and nieblsds kuchlt zan has a history of domestic violence. a hero's homecoming. christopher dormand left the hospital just three days after being shot seven times. squad cars from across delaware county followed dorman from the hospital to the follow kroft fire company. the 25-year-old volunteered there since he was a teenager. hes hant talked about the shooting but says he's grateful for all the support he received. >> i want to say thank you to everybody for being there for me and my family and my fellow brothers in blue. everybody's support means a lot. i appreciate it. >> he says he cannot wait to get back to work though he still has more surgeries ahead. tonight members of the hogs and heroes foundation stopped by so see him and wish him well. the supreme court hand down a decision that's being called the biggest abortion case in nearly a quarter century. the nation's high court threw out a texas law that may have been the most restrictive in the nation. it required clinics where abortions are performed to meet the same standards as outpatient surgical centers and doctors were required to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. the court's decision is prompting action in pennsylvania as well tonight. state senator daylin leach of montgomery county wants to repeal a 2011 law which breerksz clinics to comply with safety regulations of outpatient surgical centers. leach says the law is forcing women and their families into desperate life-threatening situations. 5 of the state's 24 abortion clinics closed after that law was passed. abortion and the constitution were the focus of a town hall at the national constitution center tonight. experts and advocates weighed in on current and future constitutional debates about abortion and they discussed the impact of today's ruling moving forward. >> it casts doubt on the student of a variety of similar laws in the states, but i think even more than that it us more than anything since 1992 about the direction of abortion doctrine going forward. >> the court's decision will affect similar laws in 12 other states, some now on hold because of court challenges. stocks closed down again today as investors continued to grapple with the fallout of britain's vote to leave the european union. the dow jones industrial average and s&p 500 ended their lowest since mid march. it's a continuation of the global sell-off we saw on fri y friday. on a brighter note day one of wawa welcome america festivities is in the books, and it was a day packed with fun and free activities for families the franklin institute gave us a look at the science behind all thoez popular pixar characters tonight. nbc 10 in franklin square, where interactive exhibits showed how the characters are molded and prepared for film. it's all part of wawa's welcome america go forth and learn festival. and afterward there was a showing of pixar's "finding nemo." a few raindrops couldn't spoil the fun here. dozens pulled up chairs, blankets, and umbrellas too for the outdoor sham township council. the demands come a day before they decide whether to join a class action lawsuit. nbc 10's denise nakano joining us live in horsham with the details. denise. >> reporter: council members decided late tonight they'll be dealing with the problem by installing filtration systems and buying water from north wales. it was a most costly option for them but they're going to be looking to the u.s. navy to foot the bill. concerns over drinking water flooded the horsham township community center. more than 100 people turned out, some voicing frustration and fear out of what's coming out of their faucets. township o'zpishlz council members say their strategy is to get contaminated groundwater to safer plechlz they've already had to shut down five of the township's 15 public wells due to chemical contamination from firefighting foam used at the old willow grove naval air station. >> i want to know if i can with confidence have my family drink the water. >> tonight township council approved an option that includes putting filtration systems into the shuttered wells to get them back online. neil paul moved to horsham. five years ago. >> i'm drinking bottled water, and that's out of an o'bundance of caution. i'd rather be safe than sorry. >> reporter: the long-term health impact of the contaminated water is unclear but health concerns will be addressed during a town hall forum coming up in mid-august. live in horsham, i'm denise nakano, nbc 10 news. new tonight, a federal jury has entered a $2.3 million judgment against the philadelphia school district. it found that late superintendent arlene ackerman discriminated against a bucks county company by steering a no bid contract to a smaller minority-owned firm. the newtown-based company said it had begun preliminary work in 2010 to install surface karmtz 19 schools when ackerman changed course. he's one of the hardest workers in our newsroom but could keith jones conquer the american ninja warrior course? we're going to find out next. also, ikea recall. why the furniture company is recalling mfillions of one of is most popular products. chipotle is giving back. how the restaurant is also offering full refunds. the ninjas are back. american ninja warrior trournz nbc 10 tonight. and this week the competition is right here in our back yard in philadelphia. ahead of tonight's competition our own keith jones took a run at the course. here's how he fared. >> reporter: on the banktz delaware river in the shadows of the old peco electric plant blooifrnlthz, a twisted heart and an ominous release. i am aware that running this course presents certain risks including without limitation personal injury, severe bodily harm and/or death. that is the face of a champion i hope. i ascend the stairs eager, anxious. >> how badly could this go? >> reporter: and in hindsight uninformed. the krouds loocrowd looks on. we strapped a gopro to my chest and off we go. it starts with the quintuple steps. i take my time because who wants to lose on the first obstacle? 20 feet later my clothes still dry. next up the log grip. basically you wrap yourself around it, and hold on for dear life. miraculously, i'm still going strong. the third obstacle, paddleboards. six paddles which i learned rotate on a center axis. let's see that again. >> the water's warm. >> refreshing. but unlike the american ninja warriors competitors you watch on tv we got to try the rest of the course for better or for worse. on the next try i get up to the salmon ladder. it's a loose bar resting on notched walls. the key, controlling my swing. which i failed. i give it another go. a little more controlled. i make my move. all right. next obstacle, same concept, free bar, you move along a track. okay. the course is humbling. the last obstacle, this spinning wheel. you jump up to a bar, then transfer o'to a wheel. easy enough, right? but i learned too late that some are window panes. on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being easy, 10 being hard, i'd say it was a 10. but it was a blast and obviously a workout. it's easy to appreciate what it takes to be an actual american ninja warrior. >> i came, i saw, i didn't conquer. >> reporter: soaking wet, keith jones, nbc 10 news. >> but he did get really good at swimming. and as you saw, despite keith's best efforts he didn't make it through all the obstacles. so we decided to have an expert weigh in and offer some advice. maybe for next time for keith. jamie ron, better known as captain nbc, he competed on tonight's episode and several other seasons of the show. he also co-owns pinnacle parkour academy in cherry hill where he trains ninja warrior hopefuls. here's what he had to say about keith's performance and what it takes to survive the course. >> he did pretty well. first one he made it through the obstacle which is great, especially your first try out. the third just wasn't moving quick enough and fell out to the side. the main things you have to number one have a plan. number two, have a backup plan. and then have a backup backup plan. >> richardson of philadelphia must have had the right plan. he made it all the way through the course and we know keith will next time as well. chipotle sint deucing a new loyalty program to get customers back into its stores after a series of food scares. you may recall. the mexican food chain will roll out the three-month program july 1st. it will reward customers based on the numbers of times they visit stores rather than by accumulating points. chipotle's been trying to win back customers after that e. coli and norovirus outbreak last year sent stores plunging. what are we in for in terms of the morning, sheena? >> i think we're going to be dealing with some scattered showers around. probably not for the entire area. but i do expect some in the morning and even again as we go into the afternoon and evening. here's a look at the radar right now. we have rain mostly around the philadelphia area and into parts of northern delaware. here's philadelphia and then we're looking at delaware county, also parts of lower montgomery county and moving into new jersey. this area showing some heavier rabefall and that extends into parts of newcastle county. some of this could still be round as we go into the morning xoout commute tomorrow. also don't forget with your new neighborhood weather your seven-day forecast is always on the bottom of the screen for you. first headline we have storms in the forecast for tomorrow. the chance of some severe storms through part of the area too. that's where you see this yellow shaded area. that shows us the highest chance for strong to severe thunderstorms. it's mainly going to be through the lehigh valley, parts of chester county, upper montgomery, upper bucks county. for tomorrow the threat of damaging winds, lightning and hail can exist with any thunderstorms that move in. we could see that through parts of the area. the timing, some of it will be early but we'll have more in the afternoon and the evening. here's future weather overnight and into early tomorrow. the weather pattern stays kind of active. we'll see showers, maybe some early thunderstorms. that's 9:00 in the morning. south jersey and delaware. wouldn't be surprised if it were spreading a little more through the philadelphia area. then we go by lunchtime we're still stuck in this rainy pattern. spotty showers by 4:30 in the afternoon. we could see a line of thunderstorms trying to organize through the lehigh valley. and even another line through about 9:00 p.m. moving through philadelphia into new jersey and delaware. but then the good news is we do clear up in time for wednesday. so tomorrow have the umbrella with you and if you're in the lehigh valley you could see those strong to severe storms. then we go into 4th of july weekend. it will be hot but we could see also another chance for some thunderstorms across your 4th of july weekend. the whole weekend is not going to be a washout by any means but we could see one day where we have had some thunderstorms around. i'll show you that in a second. for tomorrow temperatures 85 degrees summerton. allentown 83 degrees with those thunderstorms around. new jersey kind of spotty thunderstorms through the day galloway township 80 degrees if you're in dover 82 with those spotty showers. staying in the forecast. so as we go through this week tomorrow the thunderstorm chance wednesday and thursday look good. friday we could see another chance for some showers. then we go into your saturday. 90 degrees. and we're looking dry for your saturday starting your 4th of july weekend. the one day we're going to be watching is sunday. we could see some thunderstorms. mostly south of philadelphia. so if you're in new jersey and delaware you have the best chance of some sunday storms. by monday that's 4th of july. right now it does look nice. and dry temperatures sham township council. the demands come a day before they decide whether to join a class action lawsuit. nbc 10's denise nakano joining us live in horsham with the details. denise. >> reporter: council members decided late tonight they'll be dealing with the problem by installing filtration systems and buying water from north wales. it was a most costly option for them but they're going to be looking to the u.s. navy to foot the bill. concerns over drinking water flooded the horsham township community center. more than 100 people turned out, some voicing frustration and fear out of what's coming out of their faucets. township o'zpishlz council members say their strategy is to get contaminated groundwater to safer plechlz they've already had to shut down five of the township's 15 public wells due to chemical contamination from firefighting foam used at the old willow grove naval air station. >> i want to know if i can with confidence have my family drink the water. >> tonight township council approved an option that includes putting filtration systems into the shuttered wells to get them back online. neil paul moved to horsham. five years ago. >> i'm drinking bottled water, and that's out of an o'bundance of caution. i'd rather be safe than sorry. >> reporter: the long-term health impact of the contaminated water is unclear but health concerns will be addressed during a town hall forum coming up in mid-august. live in horsham, i'm denise nakano, nbc 10 news. new tonight, a federal jury has entered a $2.3 million judgment against the philadelphia school district. it found that late superintendent arlene ackerman discriminated against a bucks county company by steering a no bid contract to a smaller minority-owned firm. the newtown-based company said it had begun preliminary work in 2010 to install surface karmtz 19 schools when ackerman changed course. he's one of the hardest workers in our newsroom but could keith jones conquer the american ninja warrior course? we're going to find out next. also, ikea recall. why the furniture company is recalling mfillions of one of is most popular products. chipotle is giving back. how the restaurant chain is trying to win back customers months after that e. coli scare. we'll be right back. tonight ikea is recalling 29 million dressers that could easily tip over and put children in danger. the furniture giant says it's no longer selling its malm series after at least three children were killed. ikea is offering free anchor kits now so you can fasten the dressers to a wall. and the company is also offering full refunds. the ninjas are back. american ninja warrior trournz nbc 10 tonight. and this week the competition is right here in our back yard in philadelphia. ahead of tonight's competition our own keith jones took a run at the course. here's how he fared. >> reporter: on the banktz delaware river in the shadows of the old peco electric plant blooifrnlthz, a twisted heart and an ominous release. i am aware that running this course presents certain risks including without limitation personal injury, severe bodily harm and/or death. that is the face of a champion i hope. i ascend the stairs eager, anxious. >> how badly could this go? >> reporter: and in hindsight uninformed. the krouds loocrowd looks on. we strapped a gopro to my chest and off we go. it starts with the quintuple steps. i take my time because who wants to lose on the first obstacle? 20 feet later my clothes still dry. next up the log grip. basically you wrap yourself around it, and hold on for dear life. miraculously, i'm still going strong. the third obstacle, paddleboards. six paddles which i learned rotate on a center axis. let's see that again. >> the water's warm. >> refreshing. but unlike the american ninja warriors competitors you watch on tv we got to try the rest of the course for better or for worse. on the next try i get up to the salmon ladder. it's a loose bar resting on notched walls. the key, controlling my swing. which i failed. i give it another go. a little more controlled. i make my move. all right. next obstacle, same concept, free bar, you move along a track. okay. the course is humbling. the last obstacle, this spinning wheel. you jump up to a bar, then transfer o'to a wheel. easy enough, right? but i learned too late that some are window panes. on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being easy, 10 being hard, i'd say it was a 10. but it was a blast and obviously a workout. it's easy to appreciate what it takes to be an actual american ninja warrior. >> i came, i saw, i didn't conquer. >> reporter: soaking wet, keith jones, nbc 10 news. >> but he did get really good at swimming. and as you saw, despite keith's best efforts he didn't make it through all the obstacles. so we decided to have an expert weigh in and offer some advice. maybe for next time for keith. jamie ron, better known as captain nbc, he competed on tonight's episode and several other seasons of the show. he also co-owns pinnacle parkour academy in cherry hill where he trains ninja warrior hopefuls. here's what he had to say about keith's performance and what it takes to survive the course. >> he did pretty well. first one he made it through the obstacle which is great, especially your first try out. the third just wasn't moving quick enough and fell out to the side. the main things you have to number one have a plan. number two, have a backup plan. and then have a backup backup plan. >> richardson of philadelphia must have had the right plan. he made it all the way through the course and we know keith will next time as well. chipotle sint deucing a new loyalty program to get customers back into its stores after a series of food scares. you may recall. the mexican food chain will roll out the three-month program july 1st. it will reward customers based on the numbers of times they visit stores rather than by accumulating points. chipotle's been trying to win back customers after that e. coli and norovirus outbreak last year sent stores plunging. what are we in for in terms of the morning, sheena? >> i think we're going to be dealing with some scattered showers around. probably not for the entire area. but i do expect some in the morning and even again as we go into the afternoon and evening. here's a look at the radar right now. we have rain mostly around the philadelphia area and into parts of northern delaware. here's philadelphia and then we're looking at delaware county, also parts of lower montgomery county and moving into new jersey. this area showing some heavier rabefall and that extends into parts of newcastle county. some of this could still be round as we go into the morning xoout commute tomorrow. also don't forget with your new neighborhood weather your seven-day forecast is always on the bottom of the screen for you. first headline we have storms in the forecast for tomorrow. the chance of some severe storms through part of the area too. that's where you see this yellow shaded area. that shows us the highest chance for strong to severe thunderstorms. it's mainly going to be through the lehigh valley, parts of chester county, upper montgomery, upper bucks county. for tomorrow the threat of damaging winds, lightning and hail can exist with any thunderstorms that move in. we could see that through parts of the area. the timing, some of it will be early but we'll have more in the afternoon and the evening. here's future weather overnight and into early tomorrow. the weather pattern stays kind of active. we'll see showers, maybe some early thunderstorms. that's 9:00 in the morning. south jersey and delaware. wouldn't be surprised if it were spreading a little more through the philadelphia area. then we go by lunchtime we're still stuck in this rainy pattern. spotty showers by 4:30 in the afternoon. we could see a line of thunderstorms trying to organize through the lehigh valley. and even another line through about 9:00 p.m. moving through philadelphia into new jersey and delaware. but then the good news is we do clear up in time for wednesday. so tomorrow have the umbrella with you and if you're in the lehigh valley you could see those strong to severe storms. then we go into 4th of july weekend. it will be hot but we could see also another chance for some thunderstorms across your 4th of july weekend. the whole weekend is not going to be a washout by any means but we could see one day where we have had some thunderstorms around. i'll show you that in a second. for tomorrow temperatures 85 degrees summerton. allentown 83 degrees with those thunderstorms around. new jersey kind of spotty thunderstorms through the day galloway township 80 degrees if you're in dover 82 with those spotty showers. staying in the forecast. so as we go through this week tomorrow the thunderstorm chance wednesday and thursday look good. friday we could see another chance for some showers. then we go into your saturday. 90 degrees. and we're looking dry for your saturday starting your 4th of july weekend. the one day we're going to be watching is sunday. we could see some thunderstorms. mostly south of philadelphia. so if you're in new jersey and delaware you have the best chance of some sunday storms. by monday that's 4th of july. right now it does look nice. and dry temperatures near 90 degrees, great for fireworks. soon as we go into next week we're still going to keep the dry pattern in the forecast. stay tuned. we'll be right back. i'm john clark from comcast sportsnet. to the hall. he's going to the hockey hall of fame in november. he was one of the most dominating hockey players in the '90s. he was mvp of the nhl in '95. of course led the flyers to the stanley cup final in '97. averaged over a point per game for his career. he changed the game. but his career ended because of concussions. and he had a bitter feud with the flyers and legend bob clark. but it was clarky who kept saying big e should be in the hall of fame. i asked eric what that meant to him. >> i think when it's all said and done everyone wanted to win and that was the main focus on it. certainly there are some times of friction, but to have bob's voice and support, there are so many i have to thank for their help. >> he was clearly one of the most dominant players in the league at the time and probably one of the most dominant ever for that period of time. he was a terrific player. >> he was. sixers coach brett brown would be surpriseed if the team goes into the season with all their big men. he tells w.i.p. radio today "we have to find a balanced team." all right. phillies tonight in arizona. vince velasquez making his return. nice job tonight. five scoreless innings. in going to go one-two. lane 4 is going to punch her ticket. and worrell is a first-time olympian! >> how about kelci worrell? second fastest time in the world this year. the mount holly native who went to rancocas valley high school is on her way to rio. >> it's a dream come true really. it's just a special thing to be able to be teammates in rio. i'm in shock for sure. i was not expecting that. >>
