ever happening again. drew smith live at the hospital tonight. drew. >> reporter: we spoke one-on-one with the chief pediatrician here tonight. she couldn't answer many of our specific questions siting privacy issues but she did say one thing flat out and that's we're sorry. 11-month-old isaac has not had an easy life. >> he goes through these pain, losing hair, crying. >> reporter: his father described the latest challenge dealing with too much chemotherapy. >> the first thing i want to say how sorry we are that this mistake happened. >> reporter: the family provided paper work that shows an error led to a dose of 33 milligrams instead of 3.3 approximate this issue may have gone on for five days. the hospital's pediatrician and chief agreed to sit down with us. >> you need to be very, very careful with any drug we're administering whether it's chemotherapy or something else. >> reporter: we're asking what doctors are doing to make sure this doesn't happen again. they're in the middle of investigating. >> i think one element of care is being able to aspire for the best and acknowledge when you've fallen short. >> reporter: patient care and safety is a top priority. they are communicating with the harrison. >> they said this was one of the biggest medical mistakes in 35 years. >> reporter: baby isaac is no longer being treated at this hospital. doctors are taking care of him somewhere else. the family said he's doing okay. he's out of icu but doctors are still having trouble managing his temperature. tomorrow a boy will be laid to rest more than a week after his body was found in camden county. funeral services are set for brendan. his body found near the cooper river. investigators aren't sure how he died. no charges have been filed. the community came together in his honor. the factory held a fund-raiser saying 15% of the proceeds would be donated to help his family. sky force 10 over a triple shooting in wilmington. three people were taken to the hospital. we're still trying to learn their conditions but we know there are no arrests. pennsylvania has gone 114 days without a budget. now senate democrats are point fingers at republicans say gop lawmakers would rather go on recess than hammer out a deal. republicans want a two-week break that would last through november 16th. democrats are holding a news conference calling on the senate to stay in harrisburg. >> our commitment to govern should be so deep that we stay until an agreement is reached. >> a spokeswoman for senate majority leader said the republican party will continue to have leadership. horse racing could be the latest casualty. racing could be suspended as early as next week. the budget stalemate has left pennsylvania without resources for the state racing fund. is the first day of her law license suspension. she plans to continue working but some of her senior staff believes she will be more limited than she admits. there's some concern that some judges or defendants may take issue with cases brought to court by the office she runs. >> i would advising her, i would advise her to take a leave of absence. she's within her right. she can run the office without going into court. >> as the suspension took effect today she released dozens of e-mails sent to state supreme court justice and his porn gate scandal. tonight democrats in new jersey state senate overrode governor chris christie on a gun control bill. >> i will not ask you again. >> tensions flaired with some lawmakers exchanging bitter words over the bill. today's vote is not a done deal. it still needs to gain two-thirds majority. new legislation is being proposed in philadelphia to help prevent future disasters like the 2013 center city building collapse that killed six people. according to our partners at news works, city council kurtis jones introduced a bill that would impose civil litigation against contractors that failed to report unsafe conditions. they are not legally required to do so. just this week contractor griffin campbell was convicted for his role in the collapse. the federal fraud trial continues today. it was his former girlfriend on the stand. this as he continues to insist the government still isn't making its case. his ex-girlfriend told the jury paying his taxes wasn't a priority for her then boyfriend. outside federal court he addressed claims he didn't pay uncle sam. >> my tax bill for 2010 is paid. i'm charged with paying it late. >> he says despite having no legal experience the case against him is weak and he's winning. prosecutors are not commenting on the case outside the courtroom. his father is facing several charges in a separate grand jury indictment. he's accused of misusing campaign funds, donations and grant money. he denies all wrong doing. his trial is scheduled for next may. he's married to nbc 10 anchor. she's referenced in the complaint. she's labeled as person e. she took part in the scheme to# sell car in order to pay closing costs on a vacation home. she's not charged and denies any wrong doing. renee is on leave from nbc 10. we're awaiting the identity of an american commando killed in a rescue operation in iraq. he's the first american to die in that country since u.s. forces with drew four years ago. kurdish troops stormed in to rescue the hostages but the isis guards fought back. the unidentified american commander was killed. about 15 isis guards were also killed. hillary clinton testified into the night about the attack on benghazi, libya. the hearing on capitol hill ended don't ever touch my son or i will hurt you. >> the father grabbed the teacher and pulled the teacher away from his son and enkecourad the kid to continue. >> he was arrested and jailed on charges offing aggravated assau and terroristic threats. police are contemplating similar charges against the 12-year-old boy. a mother murdered and police say the killer was her new husband. >> reporter: police have made a very big arrest. the husband of this victim was taken into custody and detectives say he used an electrical wire and a sock to strangle his wife of just four months. jillian was 26 years old, a young mother and newlywed. she became estranged with her new husband. she live ed inside this complex. yesterday morning police say he showed up. he strangleder with electrical wire, stuffer edstuffed a sock mouth. >> what's the whole point of getting married when you're going to kill your wife. >> reporter: neighbors are shocked but happy to hear the husband is now in custody. detectives interviewed the suspect here inside the whitehall police station where police say he admitted to this killing telling police it happened during an argument. gordon has ties to burks county. trying to lure children say their son has autism. they say daniel lee is harmless and just likes talking to children. lee was arrested near wayne elementary school yesterday. concerned parents called police after they say lee scared their children in the playground. he talked to them about finding an abandoned cabin in the woods. police arrested him. lee is being held on $100,000 bail while he awaits an evaluation. philadelphia neighborhood will soon be without a supermarket near. the path mart will close for good on november 20th. it declared bankruptcy in july. the store couldn't find a buyer and will close its doors. i closed early to slash prices in order to clear out stock. >> i was real sad. i love pathmark. it's a good market. it's kind of like there's no place for this area is limited with supermarkets. it's nothing around here. once they shut this down, we're really messed up. >> some of the employees at store have been there since the '70s. a specialty drug company with plant in delaware county is offering a cheap alternative for a medicine whose recent spike in price sparked outraged. another company raised the price to $750 a pill recently. the unseasonable warm we were in the 70s. tomorrow there are highs going to be dropping into the low 60s. you might need a light jacket through the afternoon. 64, saturday. 66 on sunday. we're not really jumping back up into the 70s any time soon. here is a look now. satellite radar and light showers and parts of laatlantic are making their way offshore. don't expect too much more as we go through tonight. that cold front is about to move through. once it does, it's going to take the clouds with it. you'll notice more sunshine tomorrow. the warm air mass is still over us. that's why we're in the 60s. when the cold front moves through it will cool us down as we go into friday seeing clear, dry conditions. into the weekend we'll have a pretty chilly start for saturday morning. temperatures around 40 degrees for the philadelphia area. by 8:00 a.m. around lee high valley we expect closer to 40s. the rain chance isn't going to come into overnight. by saturday afternoon we'll be dry. temperatures in the mid to low 60s. then you see the rain overnight into early sunday. i think the timing is good as far as your weekend plans are concerned. doesn't look like it should be in the middle of the day. now we're also talking about the tropics. this is actually in the pacific. you may have heard about hurricane patricia by now. category 5, historic storm about to hit mexico. a couple of popular resort towns. once it mooves on shore it's expected to cause a lot of land slides. tonight mid-50s philadelphia. mostly cloudy but clearing overnight. 46 for the low. tomorrow sunny, cooler day. high temperatures in the low 60s. quite a change from today. highs topping out in the mid-60s both saturday and sunday with early showers sunday and by next week we're going to cool down again around 60 to start off
