Right now in san jose, california authorities are working to track down this man, scott dunham who is accused of shooting veteran Police Officer Michael Johnson who is responding to an apartment complex for a suicide call. Authorities believe dunham is armed and still inside those parents. The mayor called this san joses darkest hour. Meanwhile, authorities in wisconsin are offering their condolences to the family of a state trooper killed in the pursuit of a bank robbery suspect. That trooper whose name has not been identified died after an exchange of gunfire with the suspect in the city of fond du lac. The brother accused of murdering a philadelphia Police Officer during an attempted robbery has a Court Hearing today. Carlton hicks and Ramon Williams face charges. Earlier Sergeant Wilson iii was buying a game for his son at the gamestop in West Philadelphia when the brothers tried to rob the store and a gun battle broke out killing Sergeant Wilson. And new from overnight, police are investigating a stabbing on north 29th street in brewerytowns section of philadelphia. This happened about 3 30 a. M. The victim is in Critical Condition at temple hospital. So far police have no suspects or a motive. And Philadelphia Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a pizza delivery woman. Police tell us he called out a pizza to rugby street at midnight and pulled out a gun to rob the delivery woman but didnt get any money. She handed him the pizza and got away. Philadelphia police are trying to piece together the timeline of a murder mystery. Yesterday afternoon investigators discovered a womans body in the shallow grave near a frankford l train and they believe the woman in her 30s was likely killed over the weekend. Neighbors were concerned when they didnt hear noise coming from the apartment and the Building Super alerted police after spotting freshly shoveled dirt in the backyard. Its scary. It happened right next door. Anything can happen anywhere any time. And when police tried to question the womans boyfriend about the grave, he took off and officers used a taser to stop him. Hes now in custody. No charges have been filed. And a woman claims an uberx drive raped her after picking her up in philadelphia. The Woman Told Police the driver picked her up in old city on february 6th and raped her and drove her around for two hours before dropping her at the Police Station in mantioch. This is causing customers to think twice. The change is i dont know if i can get in any uberx car or a taxi. This is a Ride Sharing Service to allow you to catch a ride by using an app. In Burlington County, state police are warning people to lookout for a man who is possibly trying to lure children. Troopers believe the man is responsible for two separate incidents in tabernacle township. The most recent happened on sunday. He followed young girls while they were walking near powell road. He has a beard and a highpitched voice. He was driving a black and grey vehicle with a white stripe. Some people in Burlington County say the landfill in their backyard stinks and want it shut down. For years people complained about odors coming from the Waste Management landfill in bucks county. Nbc 10s katy zachry is live in bucks county where the landfill sits. Katy, tell us whats going on. Reporter hi, vai. Tonight theres a hearing to help decide the fate of the landfill and its expected to draw dozens of people to this building behind me. People who say they have been sickened by this odor. Sometimes we come out and its like youre in the middle of a garbage dump. Its really bad. Reporter julie esker is worried about her familys help. They live on Riverside Drive in florence and face the landfill which over the years has gotten harder to ignore. When you first moved here in 2002, was it an issue or has the odor grown to be an issue . Its grown progressively over the years. Even how high the mountains are now. Reporter she and 40 others in the area filed dozens of complaints with the state Environmental Protection agency that decides if the landfill that is run by Waste Management will continue operating beyond late may when the current permit expires. What are some of the things that you are not able to do with this in your backyard . Reporter well, obviously, if theres odor of any kind you dont want to go outside. Reporter she says her family has gotten sicker lately. Extra dust our sinuses are clogged up. Reporter the d. O. T. Is currently running odor tests. In the fall they cited Waste Management for an odor violence. I just think they need to stop at this point. Let it all settle and move to a different location. Reporter we reached out to Waste Management for a comment but our calls were not returned. The state department of Environmental Protection hearing begins at the fall township Municipal Building tonight at 6 00. While this hearing is going on theres also been a classaction lawsuit filed in federal court against Waste Management alleging that the landfill is a nuisance and creates a foul odor. And the showers will be a little less likely during the evening commute at 5 00 where we still have sprinkles in the area. The threat of showers will continue into tomorrow. The school board voted unanimously to approve the budget totaling just less than 300 million. It calls for eliminating 226 positions including teachers custodians and administrators. And the district will close a school. School Officials Say they need the layoffs to close a 17 million budget gap. The school is targeted to close for the 2015 year and its the Monument Elementary School on pennington avenue. A pennsylvania road will be named after a state trooper killed after an ambush in the pocanos. They are named the road between the Community Center and the Little League field after Corporal Brian Dixon who lived in dunmore and his sons play baseball on the fields. The corporal was shot to Death Outside the barracks last september. Troop another trooper was injured. Eric frein pleads not guilty to firstdegree murder, terrorism and other charges. A Wilmington Family is recovering after being poisoned on a vacation in the caribbean. Lanza shot and killed her there before taking the lives of 26 students and 6 faculty at sandy hook in december 2012. The open lot will remain that way. And in Massachusetts Police found a suspicious device rigged to blow up a house if the switch was activated. The investigators say the owner of the home went there yesterday with his electrician for an inspection and the electrician discovered the device. They called police. The device has been created in the house. It took work to put it in there. It was inside of a gallon container. It had wires that were wired into the home. Police say the house was about to go on the market and had been rented. And now police want to talk to the renters as they continue their investigation. And it is 6 17. A Montgomery County house needs repairs after a school bus slammed into it. And this morning were hearing from the girl who helped get her n. Y classmates off the bus. The 11yearold was among nine students on their way to st. Helenas Elementary School when the bus crashed on windmere drive in whitpain township. The bus safety drills taught the girl what to do. I saw some adults out there and was just like help us, please. And then i saw the latch on the door and knew i couldnt do the up emergency exit so i did that emergency exit. Opened it and got out and was encouraging the kids like come on, you have to get out. Police are not sure why the driver lost control of the car but medics took him to the hospital yesterday. We have not been able to learn his condition. And after yesterdays School Bus Accident the texas 10 investigators did some digging into the school bus safety. The riskiest part of the school bus is boarding it. 80,000 drivers go past a school bus with the stop arm down on a daily basis. It is not just up to the School Bus Driver but people should stop when they see the school bus stopped. Thats an important part of it as well. And when it comes to questions about seat belts for buses built after 2001 in new jersey, they have lap belts but federal studies show they have little effect on safety. It is 6 18.
