Unfortunately, for new Jersey Drivers, we have a development to that crash on the turnpike southbound. So, between two exits, exit 4 and exit 2, they are blocked off while crews investigate this overturned truck thats blocking all lanes. It happened just before 4 00 a. M. Right near route 322, which is exit 2. But right now, again, crews have between exit 4 and exit 2 new jersey turnpike southbound off limits to traffic. So, an alternate is you can take route 73 northbound to i295 southbound. That will get you around that mess. It is affecting drive times, because right now were not even totaling any drive time from 322 to the delaware memorial bridge, because again, that stretch is off limits to traffic. But the turnpike in pennsylvania, thats moving fine, as is 476. No issues to report there. And taking a look right now at the platt bridge, where traffic is running free and clear in both directions, the ben, the betsy and the walt look good as well. 5 32 now. And new from overnight, fire officials are trying to figure out what caused a row house to catch fire in west philadelphia. Crews were called out to harlan street around 1 30 this morning. Everyone inside that homemade it out safely. And also new from overnight, Philadelphia Police are looking for a woman who stole this mans prosthetic leg. Bizarre story. It happened outside lincoln financial field during last nights eagles game. Sonny forriest, who sings to fans outside the linc, says the woman took the leg off of his wheelchair and just took off with it. The leg was later found on a septa train on the broad street line. Philadelphia police have picked it up to return it to forriest. 5 33 right now. Federal officials have been ordered to move as quickly as possible to investigate the apparent breach of protocol that led to a second ebola case in dallas. A Health Care Worker who has not been identified was wearing protective gear when she treated Thomas Duncan. Duncan died last week at Texas Health Presbyterian hospital. This week, steppedup ebola screenings will begin at airports in chicago, dulles, newark and atlanta, jfk airport started the screenings over the weekend. Nbc 10s jesse gary has been talking with Health Officials locally. Jesse, last hour, you said there are preventive measures people can take to stem the spread of these viruses, but what are they . Not ebola. Reporter not ebola, no, but you can do simple things like covering your cough. You hear Health Officials always talk about washing your hands frequently, using Hand Sanitizer when you touch common surfaces. In the case of the flu bug, which Health Officials say is more of a threat to people than ebola or enterovirus, a vaccine is your best bet. Each year, 35,000 people nationwide die due to the flu. Registered nurse helen strome says unlike enterovirus or ebola, in the case of the flu, there is a shot that can prevent or greatly reduce your chance of sickness. Again, this is some type of dance instruction center. Fire officials tell us there was heavy fire in the back of the building when they arrived. You can see on the scene there some smoke still billowing up. Looks like firefighters have it under control, but were still working on confirming that. We do know that there have been no injuries reported. There you see the name of the business, Bucks County Dance Center. You see firefighters inside checking out hotspots and doing their job. Again, no reported injuries. It being a dance center, were assuming no one was inside overnight, but still no cause of that fire has been determined. So, were working on getting that information to find out exactly what happened there. Louis. 17 protesters arrested in a parking lot there last night at a convenient store. They were protesting the death of 18yearold vonderrick myers. Thats a teenager who was shot and killed last week by an offduty st. Louis Police Officer who was working a security job. According to police, myers shot first, but his parents say he was unarmed. Today, clergy members will participate in demonstrations in other communities in the st. Louis area. 5 45 now, and today alaska will begin accepting marriage applications from gay couples. This comes after a federal court judge ruled sunday that the states ban on samesex marriage is unconstitutional. Five gay couples had sued to overturn that ban. The state of alaska intends to appeal the ruling. With a second now confirmed case of ebola diagnosed in the United States, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health is taking steps to prepare for a possible case in our area. It is using enhanced surveillance to more efficiently identify potential cases of the deadly virus. The department is providing guidance and tools to Health Care Providers, also collaborating with airport officials, the cdc and customs to make sure all ill travelers are reported and its providing the public with uptodate information. And theres new concern this morning over the spread of ebola, now that the centers for Disease Control has confirmed that one of the Health Care Workers who treated Thomas Duncan in dallas has contracted that disease. Nbc 10 National Correspondent jay gray has more from dallas. Reporter this morning, a member of the Specialized Team that treated the first patient diagnosed with ebola in the United States is inside the Isolation Unit at Texas Health Presbyterian hospital, now fighting the deadly disease herself. Its deeply concerning that this infection occurred. Reporter a review from the centers for Disease Control cites a breach in hospital protocol for her infection. And overnight, the agency stepped up its presence in dallas to prevent a further spread of the deadly virus. Officials will not release the name of the infected Health Care Worker but do say the woman had extensive contact with Thomas Eric Duncan before his death, including when he was placed on dialysis and a ventilator as his condition got worse and he became more infectious. Police have been stationed outside the womans tapedoff apartment along with hazmat teams that will begin disposal and decontamination work later this morning. Jay gray, nbc news, dallas. 5 47 right now. Emergency crews were called into an Indianapolis Zoo over the weekend. Thats after a ride got stuck, trapping visitors in the air. Heres a look at some of that video there. Passengers stuck on the sky ride. It was heading through the zoos International Orangutan center when the ride stopped working. Six people had to be rescued by firefighters about 35 feet in the air, while others evacuated using a ladder. No one was hurt. It is a showdown in midflight over massachusetts captured on video. Watch as a hawk attacks a drone. The guy operating the drone noticed the redtail hawk circling, so he tried lowering the drone, but that didnt stop the hawk from knocking it out of the sky.
