We dont know where the kids live or their ages, but the fact that enterovirus d68 is confirmed in pennsylvania is enough to put parents and School Leaders on edge. The respiratory virus is sweeping the country. Its believed thousands of kids have caught it, even though the cdc is reporting far fewer numbers. Thats because not every case is sent to the cdc. It presents symptoms much like the common cold but then can get a lot worse. Here are some of those symptoms where kids, like the four patients of c. H. O. P. S. , had to be hospitalized. Supporters call it the no welfare for weed bill. It would prevent people from using welfare debit cards to make purchases at stores that sell marijuana. A 2012 federal law already prevents people from using welfare debit cards at liquor stores, casinos and strip clubs.
