And 25 Miles Per Hour on the walt whitman bridge and the Commodore Barry brim. Slow down to take your time out there. And use caution wherever you are going this morning. Even accidents, im just getting details about this on the southbound side of the new jersey turnpike past 195 that involves a jackknifed tractortrailer. But it is on a ramp to the Richard StocktonService Plaza beyond 195. Its not blocking the highway itself, but if we get more information, ill be sure to pass that along. I have an accident happening across the area, the highways in pennsylvania are quiet right now. So far were not reporting any significant problems on mass transit. Thank you for the update. 5 02. And our photographers found several slick spots overnight. And this accident is on vine street in center city that happened around 1 00 this morning. Nobody was hurt. In bucks county one car slid into another on state road at mill road near the gate House Apartments in ben salem. That accident was cleared by the time our photographers got there, but you can see what the road looks like. It is slick. No one was hurt in that fenderbender. And in the home circle section of philadelphia the salt trucks started to lay out the salt overnight. The ice threat is prompting a handful of closings. Get a complete list at nbc10. Reporter we are now in Montgomery County where we are on north spring mill road headed toward montgomery avenue. And the roads have been heavily salted in this section of the main line so not too many slick spots. Unfortunately, we are not at a turn per se we are just driving straight. And the real problem you could encounter is when you try to make a turn. Thats when you can really feel the slick spots. We encountered a couple on our way over from andorra. Last half hour we were making our way over from coshocton and did encounter slick spots, but not too many. Well keep going north and west and head out to king of prussia. As we continue to caution you, nothing like yesterday with the icy roads that led to a number of accidents and two huge pileups across the region. I want to remind you how dangerous this can be. Three people died dozens of people were hospitalized. Two people were killed in a crash on i476 near marple road. Then we had a 60car pileup that killed one person. This was the scene of that mess in Montgomery County yesterday morning. Eric alan blau was killed in that crash. State police say he was having car trouble on 76 westbound. He got out of his vehicle and then was hit by another car causing a change reaction crash. 30 people were hurt. And 76 was shut down for several hours in both directions. And heres a video of the accident on the blue route in Delaware County. Nearly a dozen cars were involved and two people died. Thomas brennan and Jason Anderson were killed after tractortrailers jackknifed. They were in separate cars that got lodged under the rig. The cast and crew of the film selma marched with others in selma, alabama, yesterday. Producer Oprah Winfrey was there. The march commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights protest march from selma to montgomery. Oprah called this a symbol of 50 years of progress. Pretty spectacular car fire in the philadelphia neighborhood where we find firefighters at the scene of domino lane in rocksboro. No word on what led to that car fire. And security is tighter around joe bidens delaware home after shots were fired near his property over the weekend. The secret service says the shots were fired from a speeding vehicle saturday night in greenville, new castle county. The Vice President and his wife were not home at the time. The secret Service Agent saw the vehicle drive by at a high rate of speed. A short time later a vehicle passed the outer perimeter but was stopped and the driver was taken into custody for resisting arrest and is being questioned by police to determine if he was involved in the shooting. Today marks one year since a young philadelphia architect was shot to death during a purse snatching. 26yearold amber long was walking with her mom in Northern Liberty when they were approached by two men. One of the men grabbed ambers mothers purse and ran off. And while trying to get ahold of longs purse, the second man pulled out a gun and shot her in the chest. One year later those men are still at large. And heres Surveillance Video of that attack. You can see the men approaching amber and her mother there. In Northern Liberty, again, the attackers one year later are still at large. We have new information about an attack outside a Montgomery County movie theater. Police called in to nbc 10 overnight with an update on what happened. It was an employee of the movie tavern in collegeville on his way to work when he was confronted by three men and attacked. Police say this was not a robbery but they are still trying to figure out the motive. And in burkes county a drunk driving arrest led officers to another discovery. Wyomissing police say after james palmer was charged with dui, they found out he was suspected of trafficking steroids. Investigators say they searched palmers storage locker and found 1,000 oral and injectable steroids. And take a look at these photos. Delaware state police hope you recognize these two men. They are wanted for theft. Authorities say they snatched a wallet from someone at the interstate battery store on robinhood road in delmar. And one of them was carrying a kid in his arms at the time. Heading into delaware philadelphia pike between harvey road and 495. If you want to get around that take marsh road or governor printz boulevard as your alternate. Yardley langhornroad is blocked off between edgewood road and mirror lake road. Edgewood road is a good option as an alternate route there. Salt trucks are out this morning attacking the major routes as they did in the overnight hours as well. In Lehigh County they had to attack it because a sheet of black ice covered route 22 in allentown for much of yesterday causing a tractortrailer to flip over jamming up traffic for a long time. Areas not treated this morning, they have spots that are ice to start with. Not an allday affair as numbers will be climbing in spite of the gusty winds. Now, as far as scattered snow showers are concerned, a few flurries. A light snow shower is moving into Chester County and through burkes county. And into the pocano mountains, little to no accumulation. And not everybody is going to see the snowflakes this morning. Come wednesday, a different story. Future weather and computer know models showing wednesday morning pretty quiet. But during the afternoon and evening hours, a light snow is suggesting about an inch in philadelphia and areas immediately north and west. Possibly two inches for the Lehigh Valley and into the pocano mountains. Thats by Late Wednesday evening. Wednesday, we have a little bit of light snow. Today, a few flurries to start with and gusty winds. Temperatures will climb into the 40s this afternoon. So the icy spots will be disappearing as the day goes on. And the sevenday forecast tomorrow cold to start with 28. Dry and less windy for tuesday. Come wednesday, well get that light snow farther south and east to mix with rain. Then thursday a cold one with a high of 37 after a morning low of 27 degrees. 30s again on friday, but a bit warmer on saturday. Well, gas prices continue to fall.
