Doctors we have been talking with say its hard to say how this flu season will compare to past years. With all the talk about enter row virus, its important not to confuse the two. We have a lot of senior, a large senior population. And we have a lot of folks who may be hospital workers or certified nurse aides that need the extra step in preventing infections. Residents will be allowed to return to their apartments following the fire late last night at the glencroft apartments. The red cross tells us only one unit was damaged here. A man in Critical Condition after he was shot several times in camden. It happened around 10 30 last night. The victim is in his 60s. So far, investigators havent made an arrest. They dont have a motive. Dry conditions for now as we take a live look outside at philadelphias boat house row. But get ready for some changes. We will go into the 70s in most areas. It was nowhere near as cool this morning as it was yesterday morning. You are already into the low 70s near the shore. This is our futurecast. As we go into this afternoon, you can see generally light showers scattered around the area. Then the Second System comes in and this is generally tonight. Some of it on the heavy side. Potential thunderstorms with this, too. Not everybody is going to be seeing a thunderstorm. But there is the threat with some strong gusty winds during the night tonight. By noontime, there may be a few showers developing in western sections. Chance of some showers by 3 00. But by 6 00, were in between the systems and should stay dry. As the manhunt continues for eric frein, cnn is reporting police found a letter apparently written by the suspect. According to the report, the handwritten letter details how he shot two Pennsylvania State troopers outside the barracks and how he then escaped. One of the troopers died in the ambush. It happened 25 days ago. Cnn citing unnamed Law Enforcement officials says the letter didnt mention a motive and they are not saying where it was found. New this more than, Philadelphia Police are searching for the woman you see here in the video. Accused of attacking another woman inside a bar. Investigators say this happened last wednesday night at whispers b bar. The victim told officers the woman came up from behind and then started punching her and threw a glass and hit her in the head. Anyone with information about this is asked to call police. Philadelphia police want to find two men who stole a dog. The Department Released this video from the crime. It happened in july. Led Coalition Aircraft hit positions where the fighting is now going on. The Kurdish Militia has been fighting back against isis for the past two weeks, but they are outgunned. Isis has tanks and heavy artillery captured from syria and iraqi armies. Today, more than 2,000 syrian kurds were evacuated from the area. The body of another missing u. S. Airman has been found in japan. He and three others were swept out to sea when a typhoon hit over the weekend. Only one of the airmen have survived. Another is still missing. Crews will continue their search effort tomorrow. Testimony could wrap up today for a hearing involving the murder of a 6yearold. A judge must determine if the suspect hes videotaped confession should be allowed at trial. Pa Pedro Hernandez is charged with the murder. Last week a defense psychologist said hernandez didnt understand his right to remain silent because he has the i. Q. Of someone with a disability. Another psychologist for the prosecution disagreed. During his confession, hernandez admitting to luring the boy to the area he was working and strangling him and dumping his body in the trash. The remains have never been found. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty. Severe storms caused damage in northwest georgia last night. Five homes near the tennessee border were damaged. A Tornado Warning was in effect monday night. No funnel cloud sightings were reported. A tornado was caught on video as it moved through kentucky. The funnel cloud formed in a matter of seconds. The tornado damaged some trees but there were no reports of injuries. Overall, its been very quiet for Severe Weather, not just tornadoes but for hurricanes as well. As far as our weather, we just have a threat of some showers today. Bigger threat tonight for some showers and thunderstorms. Some possibly while you are sleeping. And then a windy wednesday that is going to be bringing in drier air. We have clouds increasing across a good bit of the area right now. The temperature is 68. Look at the wind, southwest at 18 miles an hour. Its two degrees warmer than it was at this time yesterday. And as long as the rain holds off, we should be warmer than yesterday. We are already in the mid to upper 60s in much of the area. Even some low 70s down towards the shore. We will be seeing less and less sunshine as we go through the afternoon. So the temperature rise is going to be limited. The wind continues out of the south to southwest. That is bringing in not only the warmer air but also a lit bit of moisture. You can see some of that. A few radar echos showing up around washington. It will move up i95. Our models do suggest that, too. Heavier stuff is back to the west. Thats what we are expecting later tonight. Here is one of the computer models on the future rainfall. By 2 00, some showers in parts of the area, especially around the i95 corridor. And then a bit of a break. So this is is not a real concentrated system that everybody will get rain. Its going to be scattered around. Later tonight, it becomes a little more widespread. By 9 00 to 11 00, you can see showers, maybe some thunderstorms moving through. There is a potential for gusty winds during the night tonight. You can see late night some showers and storms as well. A new study found moms exposed to the chemical during pregnancy saw a drop in their childs breathing function. Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health combined two previous studies that involved 120,000 participants.
