These are pictures taken shortly after the first shooting and that trouble began around 8 00 last night. School Officials Say three people were bounded and rushed to kent general hospital. Theyre in stable condition with nonlifethreatening wounds. All students were told to go to their dorms and nonstudents told to leave the campus. This was proceeded by a fight on campus. Were working to try to get you some video of that fight that sparked, apparently this shooting. And then around 1 30 this morning, more shots fired. This time here at this offcampus housing that is run by the university. No reported injuries here. Weve made several calls to Delaware State University police. We are still waiting to hear back from them. They have put out a description of the suspect in the shooting described as a black male with short dreadlocks 59 to 511, wearing a tan and blue longsleeve tshirt. He was dryiving a darkcolored fourdoor vehicle. Police are still searching the campus and this area for the suspect. Now doctors are trying to figure out what caused the teenager to collapse during a workout and die a short time later. Ryan gillyard was a freshman on the st. Josephs prep football team. The 15yearold from upper darby suddenly collapsed yesterday morning during spring workouts. He died a short time later at the hospital. Right now, it is unclear what caused him to collapse. Administrators at st. Joes prep says Grief Counseling Services are being provided for students throughout the weekend and into monday. They released a statement saying, ryan was a great person and someone we were proud to have as part of our community. We will do whatever we can to support his family and friends, especially the members of the freshman class and the football team. Animal control authorities will now decide the fate of a family dog after it mauled a 3yearold girl. Animal control officers removed the dog from a home on washington avenue in philadelphias cobbs creek section last night. Police say the little girl was being held by her grandmother when the dog apparently got jealous. It attacked the childs head. That child is in critical but stable condition this morning. The grandmother tried to protect the little girl and ended up with bites on her hands. A trenton man who police say tried to lure an 8yearold girl into his car in bucks county is now facing felony charges. Only nbc 10 was there last night when Bensalem Township Police took juan perezjuarez to jail. Investigators say after the girl refused to get into his car, juarez exposed himself and urinated in front of her. Police say juarez then drove away, but crashed into a light pole and a parked car, injuring another driver. Nbc 10s Randy Gyllenhaal got reaction from a neighborhood. Disgusting to do that to a little girl. I mean thank god that he didnt touch her or get near her, because it could have been a lot worse. A Lehigh County teenager accused of conspiring to murder her mother will remain in adult jail while awaiting trial. Friday a judge denied a defense petition to return 14yearold Jamie Silvonek to the juvenile facility where she was sent just after her mothers body was found last month. The eighth grader is charged as an adult with homicide and criminal conspiracy. Authoritiesy sies say she plotted with her 20yearold boyfriend to kill her mother. Take a look at this fire on a bus that was carrying students from the university of connecticut. This was one of four chartered buses taking the students to a harbor cruise in boston yesterday. Police say the driver noticed thick smoke coming from the engine and pulled over in stir bridge, massachusetts. The students evacuated the bus, which you can see, a massive fire erupted, and then it was reduced to a charred husk. No one was hurt. Two unions banned from working at the Pennsylvania Convention center are now a step closer to returning. Leaders with the metropolitan Regional Council of carpenter and teamsters local 107 say they were improperly banned from the Convention Center in philadelphia last year. A Labor Relations examiner initially decided to toss out complaints filed by those unions but the examiner has reversed that decision. Officials now plan to hold hearings on the issue. New data shows crime rates fell in new jersey between 2012 and 2013 but murders continue to rise. A report from the state Attorney Generals Office says criminal cases were down 7 overall, but it shows there were 40 11 murders in 2013 a 4 increase from the previous year. 2013 marks the Third Straight year that murders rose in the garden state. Tomorrow 30,000 runners will compete in the Boston Marathon which will be under tight security following that deadly bombing two years ago. Police say they have been preparing for the event for an entire year. State troopers and officers from surrounding towns will be patrolling the course some on bicycles. Also, there are more miles of fencing between the runners and fans and security crews will screen spectators before entering the finish line bleachers. It was two decades ago today that Timothy Mcveigh and Harry Nichols drove a truck bomb into the alfred p. Murrah federal building. They were convicted of killing 168 people and injuring hundreds more. Mcveigh was executed in 2001. Nichols is still in prison. It was the worst terrorist attack on u. S. Soil prior to 9 11. This date also marks the 22nd anniversary of the end of the siege at the Branch Davidian compound in waco texas. In february of 1993 Law Enforcement officers raided the ranch of david koresh and his followers. That started a 51day standoff. A brush fire is threatening 200 homes in california and officials have ordered a mandatory evacuation.
