But here is the commissioner and one of the residents that had to get her family up and out of her home. We dont know where the fire started yet because four dwellings we had to get the fire marshal in there to do an investigation right now to determine the origin and cost. When you have four dwellings, it takes time to determine which house the fire started in. I was asleep in the bed and i had seen the fire, so what i did was i just woke up and just grabbed my kids and the fires were just spreading, and spreading across they were just everywhere, house to house, everywhere. I dont know. I had to wake up and bring my kids out and just get out. A shelter has been set up at the high school, and some family members we could see breaking down right in front of us. As we look live, the firefighters are on the ladder truck and coming off the rooftops as we speak, and a large area around 56th street around woodland and pascal is shut down. New from overnight two teenagers are recovering from a shooting in kensington. A 14yearold and a 19yearold were both hit in the legs. Right now they are in stable condition. This Morning Police are looking for the shooter. Also new from overnight a. Car smashed into an Apartment Building in north philadelphia. The car rammed right into the building along red line road. The driver managed to back out and drive away. Nobody inside of the Apartment Building was hurt. Police are still looking for both the car and the driver in the case. Today crews are cleaning up after a full day of fourth of july festivities in philadelphia. This is a live look at the ben franklin parkway where workers will break down the stage from the concert. An estimated half a Million People came out for the show that was billed as the largest free concert in america. This is what is left behind of the party on the parkway. Overnight crews worked to get the parkway back in order after the massive turnout. Nicki minaj took to the stage at the concert, and so did Jennifer Hudson and the roots. The night wrapped up with a fireworks display over the art museum. Today a Delaware County girl who fought through the challenges of Cystic Fibrosis will lead the parade down westchester pike. They made National Headlines last year after challenging transplant rules. She had two double lung transplants while fighting the disease. You can see the waves are crashing there on the beach, and people taking a stroll along the water and one or two fisher men out there on the jetty. There was a little bit of flooding in cape may. The beaches there did stay open, but a High Surf Advisory stays in effect until this afternoon. In delaware yesterday, the rough surf from the passing hurricane put the beach off limits. All the beachgoers could really do is walk down to the waters edge and stick their feet in, and beach patrol did tell us the ocean will be calm enough today for people to go in. Peco is reporting that 7500 customers are still without power from the severe storms that came through on thursday night. More than 4800 of the remaining outages are in bucks county and Chester County down to about 1,300, and Delaware County dropped to under 1000, and philadelphia and montgomery counties total at 600. And then nbc 10 found utility crews on the job yesterday and some people got their electricity back in 15 minutes and others are still waiting. Peco tells us every repair situation is unique. We have new information this morning on the philadelphia man accused of stuffing his mothers body into a freezer inside of their home. Nbc 10 learned that william care 63 yo was arraigned on thursday night and has been charged with abuse of a corpse. He is being held on 30,000 bail. Police found the body of his 83yearold mother inside of a white freezer at her home in feltonville on wednesday. Investigators say she likely a died in january. Authorities have not released the results of an autopsy. Now to some news out of our delaware bureau. A judge will not resize the kidnapping and fraud sentence of the former op tom tryst whose father killed two people in a delaware courthouse. This is film from the shooting last year. This week a judge rejected his claim of inadequate attorney representation in a 2009 kidnapping and bank fraud case. He is now awaiting trial on federal stalking charges in the death of his exwife. This morning pennsylvania does not have a governorapproved budget after missing the deadline for the spending deadline. Governor tom koerbit is still reviewing the budget. Across our Commonwealth School districts are strugglingle under the inadequate and unfair funding unable to prepare our young people for the world of tomorrow. We are following the breaking news on this fire that burned eight row homes and left four children dead. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live where it happened. You have been speaking to the fire commissioner and families out there. What you have learned in the past half hour . Reporter right now, rosemary, what we learned is that the investigation is still on going into how and where this fire started. We have seen family members breaking down in the middle of the street overcome with emotion because of what happened here early this morning. Let me get out of the way and you can see the fire crews are still out here and still on the scene and still have the ladder truck up there and they have been keeping an eye on the roofs where we have seen smoke in the past hour and a half. For the most part, everything is out. That fire is out. Now the firefighters are just getting ready to get all of their gear back in the trucks and move away from the scene.
