So they took over this play ground and said well give it back to you in three years and give you 250,000 to fix it up and make it nice again for the neighbors. They gave the park back still havent heard anything about the money. What we have is probably the saddest little playground. Reporter it is a park named after the last willmington officer killed in the line of duty. Its the pits. Reporter but eatsits not in good shape. We have an oil barrel if a trash can. Reporter when it was built by the towers they promised to give the park back in three years along with 250,000 to overhaul it. You dont have much hope that youll see that 250,000 to fix that park up . Two words. Hell, no. Reporter Housing Authority tells me he never should have agreed to the deal. The project was behind schedule and overbudget. The Housing Authority director admits he hasnt made good on the agreement and he doesnt blame the community for being upset.
