Near pennsville, isolated showers are tracking east. We have another batch also moving into the suburbs. And because so many people are losing their jobs at once, Atlantic Citys main casino union will open a special resource center. This is all part of a joint effort between the States Labor Department and the union. It runs wednesday through september 10th at the Atlantic City convention center. Investigators tell nbc 10 this was no accident. This morning inside reds bar and grill. Police believe the driver of a black vehicle deliberately ran over the victims after they left the bar. We dont know what touched off the incident or the extent of the victims injuries. Police in lower marion are investigating a robbery and assault overnight. It happened around 4 00 this afternoon at a home on the 200 block of edgehill road. Were told the suspect entered the home through a living room window. Thats when the homeowner and his son confronted him. There was a struggle, and the son was hit with a hammer. The suspect took off and got into a waiting car in an alley behind the home. Six people were rescued today from a sinking boat in a jersey shore community. The coast guard plucked them from their 25foot vessel after it started taking on water a mile off seger. A person aboard the sinking boat called for help on a marine radio, and a distress flare was sent up. Coast guard says there was two feet of water in the boat when rescue crews arrived. Another batch moving through Lancaster County, heading to downingtown at 11 257, closer to north star before midnight. Over the next 24 hours, were going to see that batch of moisture, rainfall thats sitting over Atlantic City, stretching up north to toms river. Again, that is going to push offshore. We are on the scene of a deadly shooting in southwest philadelphia. It happened within the hour. Police tell us a man was hit several times in the chest near 60th and almond streets. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The shooter got away. In bucks county, a man is behind bars tonight charged with killing his brotherinlaw. William rivera is accused of shooting George Rodriguez in the living room of his home on fayette drive in bristol township. Nbc 10 on the scene early this morning. Investigators say the pair argued, and rivera pulled out a shotgun, hitting rodriguez. Rodriguez, who lived in trenton, was found dead on the floor. Rivera was taken into custody at the scene. An arrest is made in the murder of a man outside an overbrook restaurant. Paul mckernan was shot to death earlier this month near lucky garden on lansdowne avenue. The shooting happened on august 15th, just days before his 28th birthday. Police say he and another man had words outside the restaurant. Mckernan walked away, but the suspect followed him and pulled out a gun. Nafrgs say theyve arrested the alleged gunman. 20yearold monty small atwell is in custody. Police arrested four men after a monthlong drug investigation in new castle county. The four face several drug charges after new castle countys drug control squad found more than 1,100 bags of heroin, 33 grams of marijuana, a gun, and cash. The men were arrested during a search of a home on east salisbury drive in wilmington where one of the suspects, bailey, lives. Also from our delaware news bureau, a deadlity in in wilmington deadly night in wilmington means the city has more homicides by gunfire this year than in all of 2013. Overnight, two men were shot and killed. The first victim of brought to wilmington hospital just before 1 00 this morning. Police say they dont know where it happened. The second victim was shot three times near 27th and tatnall streets, just over an hour later. This bring the homicides by shooting to 19 this year. Thats one more than in all of 2013. Dangerous job. That was mainly from Atlantic City stretching up to toms river. Now were just seeing isolated showers near ford river stretching to long beach and to the north of beach haven. As we head into the rest of tonight, even once that rain moves offshore, were going to see another round developing, especially closer to shore. A closer look now at penceville, seeing moderate rainfall. Woolrich, same thing. This is tracking east. As we head to the next 15 minutes or so, we should see some rainfall moving into parts of winslow. Again, were seeing more scattered shower activity moving out of Lancaster County into parts of chester county.
