But it was just about two weeks ago i was out here on the scene when the fire happened right next door and sadly the folks around here are starting to get used to it. A rude awakening around 1 00 this morning. Five adults and a four month old infant with you sleeping in this row house when without warn, they had to run for safety. We had a report of people trapped. Reporter firefighter rescued them before the situation got out of control. On scene, our cameras did not catch any visible flames, but we did see angry residents. Just under two weeks ago, the house next door was set on fire. Investigators then found two flammable containers that september the porsent the porch and front door ablaze. Im tired of this. I heard them, sounded like somebody was coming up the steps. They kicked the door. And they threw the gas, whatever they threw, and it spread across the whole house. Officers were responding to a call when police say a driver hit the officers patrol van right around 3 00 this morning. According to investigators, the officers did have their lights and sirens on as they were headed to that call. One officer was being treat for injuries to his head and hand. The other has a broken leg. Police have not released the condition of the other driver involved. Also new from overnight, police in Montgomery County are investigating a scene where a send take train crashed no to a car. The car appeared to be parked on the train traction. Randy gyllenhaal was actually driving by the scene. He called 911 and sent us this video. It happened near the river walk. Nobody was inside the car and nobody on the train was hurt. A house fire in Delaware County is to blame for the death of a grandmother. The fire could have also killed her five children had it not been for their father and neighbor who sprang into action to get the kid out. The family was sleeping when the fire started yesterday morning in lower chichester. The father and the young kids were trapped in the bampt. Neighbor nick wells tells us he saw the fire, father, rather, trying to break the windows. So wells decided that he would grab a tricycle, it was outside the house. He started busting out the windows, too. Once they were open, he was able to pull the kids from the father and bring them to safety. Father pulled them out. He was on burnt, why i know where to grab him. But he did grab him. The father was rushed to the hospital with severe burns. His children are recovering. Investigators are now looking into exactly what caused the fired. They think it started on the back porch where the grandmother who died was sleeping. The Lower Chichester Volunteer Fire Company is now accepting donations to help the family.
