rushed to the hospital after falling in the river. it took crews nearly 30 minutes to find him. nbc 10's aundrea cline-thomas is live along kelly drive where the drowning happened this afternoon. >> reporter: denise, after the 3-year-old fell into the water, his father was not far behind jumping in after him. his father could not find his child. now, an loon lookers were distr as they watched the nightmare unfold. the 3-year-old boy fell off a dock atjoseph's boat house before noon. others jumped into the water trying to help the child's father find the little boy but it was rescue crews who were able to pull the child out of the water after some time and performed cpr. this is a common area for families to enjoy the outdoors especially on beautiful summer days like today. >> it's saddening, you know, of course, you never want anything to happen to your child. you know, and i wish the child, you know, the best of luck. >> reporter: at this hour, that 3-year-old is in icu at c.h.o.p. the eerey thing, out here, you would have never known what happened but this is just another reminder about how dangerous the water can be. reporting live along the schuylkill, aundrea cline what happened there. >> tonight, a bucks county community is trying to figure out how to move forward after four murders. an annual festival that's usually filled with fun is overshadowed by the talk of a killing spree. nbc 10's drew smith is back in seoulbury township today to explain where the community goes from here. >> reporter: for a lot of people it was an attempt to get back to normal today. here at peddlers village, they're hosting the blueberries and bluegrass festival. a lot of people we talked to, they say it will take more time to at least begin it try healing. >> seems like everybody -- >> reporter: mary tanner works in peddlers village and relieved to see crowds of people since the farm where four young men were killed is just down the road and already has changed how they operate. >> we have to have somebody else with us to walk out just to make sure we're safe. ♪ >> reporter: a band played a gospel song dedicated to anyone in bucks county who's mourning today. >> going to take a while, you know, for that awful feeling. >> reporter: neighbors say every time they pass this spot, it's tough not to think about how the victims' families are suffering. they realize the township will be associated with this for a long time. >> pretty much everybody's coming in the shop has been talking about it. >> reporter: religious leaders tell uses they'll be talking about the crime at sunday services. >> what happened here was definitely evil, but at the same time, we have to call forth in goodness, to transform that evil into something powerful and for the better of including a motorcycle. the driver of the motorcycle was rushed to the hospital. we're still working to find out how seriously that person's injuries are. a philadelphia police officer is on the mend tonight after his patrol car was rear ended by a suspected drunk driver. the officer was hit along gerard avenue near the zoo around 4:00 this morning. the officer was treated and released from the hospital. the driver who hit him is charged with dui. a new mural honors a fallen philadelphia hero. the large-scale tribute was dedicated to sergeant robert wilson today in southwest philadelphia. wilson wases killed two years ago stopping a robbery. his family was there today for the ceremony. >> men and women behind these badges are people just like everybody else. just like you and me, just like your mother, your father, your grandmother. they want the same things out of life but they actually do something additional, they put their lives on the line each and aef day for people they've never met. >> you can see the mural for yourself at 60th street and baltimore avenue. last year, sergeant wilson was awarded the national medal of valor for sacrificing his life to protect innocent civilians. sergeant wilson was killed inside a north philadelphia gamestop store on a snowy day in march of 2015. he was inside buying a game for his son when two men came in to rob the place. wilson tried to stop them and was shot. carlton hicks and ramone williams are accused of killing sergeant wilson. both men face the death penalty if convicted. well, they were once high-ranking administrators at penn state and tonight they are prisoners. serving time for their roles in the jerry sandusky scandal. gary schultz and tim curley reported to the jail in center county today to begin serving out their sentences. both men admitted to failing to act on signs that former penn state coach jerry sandusky was a child predator. schultz was penn state's vice president. he was sentenced to two months in jail. curley was the university's athletic director. he'll serve three months. ex-penn state president graham spaniard faces two months in jail. back in march, he was convicted of the same charges as schultz and curley pleaded guilty to. he's free on bail while he appeals his conviction. well, a spectator from bill cosby's mistrial is in big trouble after posting pictures and awe yudio online. she took pictures and recordings during the closing arguments of bill cosby's criminal defense attorney and found guilty of contempt of court and sentenced to 50 hours' community service. she told the judge she thought it might be the one time she could make a viral video. people in bucks county spent the day reconnecting with the past. a traveling vietnam war memorial wall is at the penn del memorial ball field right now. the smaller version of the d.c. memorial pays tribute to the u.s. service members killed in the vietnam war. people we spoke to said it delaware. we have lower humidity than we've had recently. and the temperatures are pretty tolerable. 85 degrees in philadelphia. and across a good bit of the area. and so it will be a fairly bike. assembly room at hms school in west philadelphia became a giant canvas. students turned their wheelchairs into tools to paint whatever they felt like. school caters to kids and young adults with summer. kind of hazy, sometimes it's pouring rain. but neither. it's really nice and it's going to get even nicer for tomorrow across the entire area because we did have some hiccups at the shore today, but look at these pictures from philadelphia, through the suburbs, into new jersey and delaware, a few fair weather clouds in the lehigh valley. temperatures nice and comfortab comfortable. at the shore. we have a northeast wind keeping temperatures confident s comf well. 78 ocean city. 82 stone harbor. 83 at cape may point. and it's going to be comfortable tomorrow, too. these are those showers right at the shore. the sea breeze meeting the regular westerly flow. but things are pretty quiet back a thousand or so miles. so we're in pretty good shape for tomorrow. as we look through the future, we have dry conditions during the night tonight. fairly comfortable in the morning with temperatures in the 60s in the suburbs. and during the day, yeah, we're in the 80s but we're not expecting 90s. we are expecting another sea breeze at the shore, but not enough moisture to create the showers. and then on monday, things start changing. we get some clouds. then some showers start coming in. and it is a different kind of day. the humidity starts coming up. starts feeling like summer again. and there's monday night. and into tuesday morning. so, we've got some wetter weather on the way. lot of ws there. here we are on tuesday. some of this potentially on the heavier side. so tomorrow looks to be the dry day and then the moisture starts increasing. look at all the sunshine off rehoboth beach up to 80 degrees. over the next five days between philadelphia and the jersey shore, obviously it's much cooler at the shore. better chance of rain on monday in the inland areas bike. assembly room at hms school in west philadelphia became a giant canvas. students turned their wheelchairs into tools to paint whatever they felt like. school caters to kids and young adults with is here with your most accurate forecast. what a gorgeous day to be outside, right? >> yeah, that is really a nice skyline shot. we don't get to see it look like this very often in the middle of summer. kind of hazy, sometimes it's pouring rain. but neither. it's really nice and it's going to get even nicer for tomorrow across the entire area because we did have some hiccups at the shore today, but look at these pictures from philadelphia, through the suburbs, into new jersey and delaware, a few fair weather clouds in the lehigh valley. temperatures nice and comfortab comfortable. at the shore. we have a northeast wind keeping temperatures confident s comf well. 78 ocean city. 82 stone harbor. 83 at cape may point. and it's going to be comfortable tomorrow, too. these are those showers right at the shore. the sea breeze meeting the regular westerly flow. but things are pretty quiet back a thousand or so miles. so we're in pretty good shape for tomorrow. as we look through the future, we have dry conditions during the night tonight. fairly comfortable in the morning with temperatures in the 60s in the suburbs. and during the day, yeah, we're in the 80s but we're not expecting 90s. we are expecting another sea breeze at the shore, but not enough moisture to create the showers. and then on monday, things start changing. we get some clouds. then some showers start coming in. and it is a different kind of day. the humidity starts coming up. starts feeling like summer again. and there's monday night. and into tuesday morning. so, we've got some wetter weather on the way. lot of ws there. here we are on tuesday. some of this potentially on the heavier side. so tomorrow looks to be the dry day and then the moisture starts increasing. look at all the sunshine here. tacony, fairmount at 89 degrees. reading, 86. jersey shore, 81 at longport. see sunshine all across the area. the ocean temperatures are coming up. atlantic city at 70. cape may at 72. the water off rehoboth beach up to 80 degrees. over the next five days between philadelphia and the jersey shore, obviously it's much cooler at the shore. better chance of rain on monday in the inland areas than what we're seeing at the shore and then everybody sees increasing storm chances by tuesday. >> all right, glenn, thank you. a tennis player from king of prussia came in second in the junior monday. humidity starts going up. some afternoon showers and storms. more storms into tuesday. and then as we start drying out the atmosphere, the temperatures starts going up so we could have another heatwave in the middle and end of the week by next weekend, saturday's looking nice and then sunday, back to some thunderstorms. so we've had a few heatwaves, but no long heatwaves this summer. and it looks like that trend is going to continue. that just when you start to think that you're getting into that long, hot summer, a front comes through, you get some showers and storms and then the cooler
