Vineland is trying to get back in this game. But their pass right here, its picked off by aaron jackson. Ac wins it 3212. Williamtown and william penn. He delivers a strike. June 18th, 2013 is a day that changed chris life forever. My dad shot my mom and then shot himself. An unthinkable tragedy that shook the entire south jersey community. My heart dropped. I was just shocked. I didnt know what to say to him for a couple of days. I was trying to gather my thoughts together and make sure i didnt say anything to offend him. Less than 24 hours after it happened, chris turned to his other family, his team. I went to practice the very next day. When he said he was coming back i was blown away. These are my brothers. Im close to them. They didnt treat me differently. They didnt look at my parents differently, my dad. If i didnt have foonl, i dont know what i would be doing. Reporter the strength chris displays at just 17 years old empowers everyone around him. He is definitely the strongest person i know by far. I dont know if i told him this, but chris is one of my biggest inspirations. They still are. Chris doesnt realize the strength he has, how much its helping other people. Reporter chris chooses to be a rock when he could have easily fallen apart. Ive definitely come to terms with the situation about what happened. I know what i have to deal with and how to approach it every day. Does it get easier . You know, i dont know. It hasnt been the same since its happened. Ive just been chugging along, day by day. Its definitely easier at practice. Are you mad . In a way, yes. But theres nothing i can do to change it. Being mad doesnt really help. Through football and his brothers on the team, chris only allows himself to be positive, even when talking about his parents. Some people are going to judge him on the one mistake that he made. I look at many i parents and all the happy things we have been through and the great experiences that weve had together. Though it was short, 17 years. We had a lot of great times together. As he looks to the future, he doesnt know where he wants to go to college, but one thing is certain, chris wants to follow in his mothers footsteps. Anywhere with a premed program is fine by me. We thought if we played our agame and limited our mistakes we would have success out here tonight. Theyre an outstanding team. We try not to get too high or too low.
