Scene at a local marina as fire consumes boats on a dock. The flames quickly spreading from one boat to the next. Again, tense moments, those nine boats were totally destroyed. Reporter we did, chris. But i should first mentioned the aroma of gasoline is still in the air. That as well as all of the fiberglass here helped fuel the fire according to officials. If you take a look you can still see they are here investigating the situation. Fire officials were able to save some of the boat that were in the path of the flames, but fortunate. From high above Captains Cove marina in quincy, flames and thick black smoke billow, on the water, stories of loss and heartbreak emerge. I can see it right there. Nothing left. Reporter the fire chief says only one boat was involved when crews arrived but the flames were quickly spreading to others. The wind wasnt too bad but still enough to allow it to spread in the fiberglass and theres a lot of gasoline down there. Reporter upwards of 100 gallons of vessel in some cases. We walked down the dock and in 10 minutes his boat was engulfed. Than the next boat, then our boat. Reporter in the end, roughly 9 damaged. Most are a total loss. Four of them completely underwater. Normally i would be sleeping im lucky to be here. Reporter we are starting over, this time it comes with a silver lining. Next move. I can tell you that right now, one of the witnesses believes that the fire may have began somewhere in a panel compartment of one of these vessels. That has not been confirmed by fire officials. They are still investigating the exact cause. Still, some of these boats are submerged. That when you just to stop partially submerged. They will spend much of the day trying to remove all of that. Crews are testing the air quality around this mastiff plant fire in oxford. After it went up in flames last night. A what refurbishing company is housed there but it was previously a chemical plant. Right now the fire chief says the air tests are at safe they dont know what caused the fire. North andover this morning as the students were evacuated from the middle school. Authorities tell us there was the smell of gas and its now as a precaution, kids were removed from the building. Everyone was able to return to class. Crews will return to the school to fix the heater tonight. A west roxbury convenience after a botched robbery. Stores owner and coworker took meant there was a struggle himself, yes. Reporter Police Arrived to Familia Grocery on grove street wednesday night. A robbery suspect was on the ground with stab wounds, the owner of the store, issac rosa, was bleeding from the arm, waiting police down looking for help. One of his coworkers was also stabbed in the struggle. The suspect came in half hour prior to the incident. There were words about bringing a dog into the store. He left. Suspect returned back with a knife, went behind the counter and attempted to rob the store owner. Reporter as per the suspect, 38yearold Kristofer Soderberg , is not someone who come to the store frequently or that the owner knows. Hes currently recovering in hospital with non life threatening injuries and once released hes facing multiple charges. And rest in west roxbury, susie steimle, wbz news. Today we are learning about the burial of bella bond. Her father tells us a second autopsy is planned which will delay the funeral another week or two. Bellas body was discovered in june on deer island. She was identified later. Her mother and mothers boyfriend are facing charges in the death.
