A man accused in the robbery and murder of a salisbury Convenience Store owner is on trial today and one of the codefendants is testifying against him. He was killed in december of 2012. Three men were charged two have already pleaded guilty in the case and wbtvs David Whisenant live outside the courthouse in salisbury. Walk us through this. The third on trial . Because robinsons attorneys the suspect we are talking about, his attorneys are attacking the credibility of the two witnesses and downplaying his role in this incident but the state says it was robinson who planned this robbery. On the stand today first was kevin, he is prison after he took a plea. He said robinson planned the robbery in december of 2012 and it was during that robbery that the stores owner was shot and killed. Christopher watson is the man seen shooting the opener. Watson pleaded guilty and is serving a life sentence. Yeah, brigida, i can tell you the Student Assignment plan why School Board Members are going to the community to talk about this process and communicate with parents. One of cms goals is to maximize building use and to decrease the number of schools that have a large concentration of poor and high need students. Cms wants more schools to like like this, diverse. The theory is academic achievement can happen quicker if students are surrounded by a variety of students from races and economic statuses. Research proves that is what happens when a classroom is diverse. Some parents think one of the goals means forced busing were Board Members are having the forums to try to clear the air and go oneonone with the parents to dispel some of the rumors and want to encourage parents and the community to fill out that survey. Cms can have a better idea what the community and parents want that Student Assignment plan to look like. How many people have taken that survey . And where is tonights forum . Well, so far more than 12,000 people have participated in that survey but keep in mind there are 145,000 students in cms.
