It's where the radio. And they regularly talk about everything from politics to social issues of the day. Or you're just starting your day when. There's a radio all across America $86690.00. Eric has the morning off so it's. Love to hear from you like to. Take Eric's place here for a few seconds. Be the temporary talk show host 86690 right I've got a great show ahead of me just so much is is going on. The breaking news from last night congressional negotiators have reached a deal in principle. So they haven't reached a deal yet they've reached a deal in principle I don't know the differences. 55 miles for the wall 1300000000 for 55 miles of the wall. Which brings me to the question if this passes and Democrats support it does it mean Democrats who support 55 miles of the wall are evil racist cruel and uncaring We'll get to that coming up here in just a little bit later as presidential candidate rejects the moderate label some and says I'm a progressive and was an interesting day because you had a number of media come out and tried to portray her as a moderate I'm thinking to myself Ok see where this goes and she comes out and says I'm not a moderate I'm I'm a progressive So we'll get to that Trump's polling numbers sky rocketing just so. Students love the green new deal until they find out what's in it I had an interesting day. Getting some exteriors painting done on my house. It's going on 13 years of of age and there are just some parts of it that that have to be repainted so I got the painting contractor out today Javi our great great guy we had just a super talk I mean just a great talk. As you know examine what work has to be done the estimate all that kind of stuff and they are going to do the work on the house. But we had we just had a great talk really not political got into politics just. A little bit. Javier. In his thirty's and we just had we had a just a great discussion on talk on life and. Work or versus management relationship Now the interesting thing is to. Supposed to be over at 10 and I guess there was some kind of messed up and you know I sleep when I get home now I was just whenever I know I've got an appointment coming up I just I don't sleep great so I was like 5 to 9 and I groan around I woke up roll around in bed when I go back to sleep just about sleep again the doorbell rang and I knew it had to be him 1st I thought it was 10 was it was 9 but I just you know I jumped through my sweatpants everything I sure ran out to the front no no I'm here I'm here I'm here and and so he was there for a while but we just had a great great great great discussion and actually got into. And I don't know how we got into it maybe it was maybe it was a discussion that. Communication in business you know and we talked about we talked about on the air before and always talked about the fact that the biggest problem in American business and we're horrible at doing it even though we're the best in the world we're horrible at communicating messages it's something that Eric and I have talked about we've criticized politicians for it so they don't communicate a message correctly that's what you have to do in order to win. And so we got into you know just you know b.s. In general couple of quotes from my dad you know for him and. I mentioned the. The deal the Green New Deal and just to write a couple of things from it well it's so funny. He's writing a lot of the stuff down that you know telling him just you know putting notes and things like that in. And we're talking we're in the middle of talking what we want done with the house what I want done with the painting and at the same time different issues well he gives me the estimate she sheet and he's going to the estimate sheet I looked on a green there's no green paint it goes No I made a mistake there. And it one of the areas it says and I thought it was paint it says Green New Deal he said I mixed up what I was putting on the with our discussion on b.s. And there it is green new deal right there so that would that was just it was funny so. But. That just I got a lot of sleep tonight but I didn't get a lot of sleep this morning so everything turned out Ok but there was just it was just are a great morning I love those conversations when I meet somebody for the 1st time and you just you know you just click like that and you just start talking about everything in the world and so it was actually lot of fun. So we will get to that the students love the green new deal until they find out what's in it actually some just some great stuff and it just shows you that you can throw out something and say the Green New Deal we love it well you know we do this well no we can't have that you know we do that no we can't have that well you know we do this you know we can't have that really old and I wouldn't want it at all. Sort of shows you why the media has realized how important headlines are because what was it a couple years ago most of the survey they did was that 60 percent of people never got past the headline the read the headline that said their name read the body of the story. So that coming up here we'll talk about the Democrat representative who has been forced by Democratic leadership to apologize for anti-Semitic remarks that coming up just a beautiful example of media bias for governor Northam I mean this is a perfect example perfect example. And a whole bunch more we've got a ton of other stuff that I want to bring up just go a lot of audio cuts to let's start out with this audio caught our eye the president in El Paso. Had a rally there last night so did skater Bobby you had a counter protest you know I'll never forget this goes back what 20052006 trying to remember when they had the mass immigration when the during the whole Kennedy. McCain immigration bill before maybe it was summer on there but they it was the huge really the 1st big illegal immigration rallies from illegal immigrant activists and their supporters all across the country and never forget in in Dallas there's all these Mexican flags flying and I'll never forget that and I don't forget we comment on the air saying if you're trying to put a message across to convince the American people that you're right probably flying America should be flying Mexican flags isn't the way to do it couple days later they had another huge rally all American flags. At the award that's one thing that was noted at the bet or Rourke excuse me at the skater Bobby. Because that's what the left talks about skates. Mexican flags there were some American flags but a lot of Mexican flags and that was picked up immediately by the media and shown around it's like that's not how to build support. Ah but the president speaking last night and had this to say last week. They introduce a massive government takeover that would destroy our incredible economic gains they introduced a so-called. New Deal. It sounds like a high school term paper check out alone more. It would shut down American energy which I don't think the people in Texas are going to be happy with that. It would shut down a little thing called air travel. How do you take a train to Europe you know this. Like he said he's hitting all the correct talking points except he was completely wrong for saying a green no deals a high school term paper he's given it way too much credit and. We were down to what 5th grade I think. The the I paid attention and watched a lot of the actual rally and still the president's tone is is to me much better even at a rally than it was 6 months ago he's hitting the talking points that he asked to it and every effective ad it if you're Remember it was little over a month ago and I both said we like the way that he's messaging he's messaging correctly we got a lot of criticism. From Trump's supporters stating you know he he can't he can't convince the liberal left and you guys should stop trying to get him to sue to convince the liberal left that's not what we ever wanted him to do it's going after independents that's what you do We thought he did a great state of the Union address his great speech his best speech yet we have promoted to this president over and over again the American people want to believe in you and the majority do independents want to but you're president of the United States now you're not a candidate and you can win on the issues being consistent and pounding the issues in a commonsense way that every American can understand and you can convince a majority of Americans that you are correct on the issues why because the other side on the issues is frankly completely and totally insane and we'll go through that point by point coming up here in just a little bit. You saw the polling after the president we thought was completely and totally on message for the state of the Union Address 80 percent approval by independents that's what you need to win that's what when Jewel lections and then the rashness from poll coming out the president now with 52 percent shocking everybody I'm not shocked as we've said over and over again part of our 1st ration is the president actually has a pretty easy a pretty easy communication job to do that is simply to convince the people who already agree with him that his policies are right like it or not Tone matters from the president if you're part of the converted it doesn't. But if you're the average person out there who was an independent tone matters and if you stick to the issues and you make the commonsense point as he has done in the last month month and a half better than he has ever done before as president of the United States the majority of the American public will be there behind you. Forest Service your state forester and the Ad Council only leave you can prevent others. He is there early he has a morning off I'm very MacNamara 86690 right I so you had the negotiators of 4 top leaders come out yesterday from the meeting in a closed door meeting and announce that they had agreed on a framework for all these 7 spending bills All right what is part of that spending bill. Said the Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Richard Shelby the White House has been consulted all along noting that he's been given latitude in negotiate on behalf of the administration the tentative deal includes 1375000000 for physical barriers a type of fencing that resembles the steel slats that Trungpa specifically called for this from Politico dot com. According to a congressional aide briefed on the talks it includes a total of 55 miles of new barriers walls whatever which is 9 miles shy of Trump's last budget request in exchange Democrats agreed to drop their demand to restrict the number of people who can be detained by immigration and customs enforcement. At a time negotiators agreed to fund a total of $40520.00 detention beds for ice a roughly 7 percent 17 percent reduction from current levels he said but one Republican source was quick to dispute the Democrats' account saying that the 1375000000 and barrier funding can be used for new miles of border wall the same Republicans source suggested that the deal had enough flexibility to actually reach the president's requested level $52000.00 beds far above the negotiated level so that's where we are right now. And it's it's interesting I know that of course I had to check out and Sudan Coulter was tweeting and she does represent a portion. Of the Republican base for the president and the one thing that she did tweet out was and this must have been at the rally g.o.p. Please drop the line please drop the line finish the wall signs Democrats are the party of liars not us. Others that I've seen on social media don't seem too high on it what I wonder is whether the president will accept this signed the bill and then in a week say Ok still I want to national emergency on the border and get his border money approved by Congress and then at the same time after resigns the bill also say he's going to work on his own and do it in a in a bold pronged attack and that way going into 2020 he can say Look. I got. 55 miles of of a border wall I don't know what the increase would be I don't know in this framework what the increase would be in Border Patrol agents I don't know what the increase would be in immigration judges that I don't know what this time but I imagine that somebody and I and I come to that point because it was Mick Mulvaney who said the president will get what he wants will get what money he can for the wall from the Democrats here and then get more and did get more mean that he will get more by calling a national emergency after he gets 55 miles to fold politically he can say Nancy said not one inch we got it we got 55 miles more of border wall steel slats fencing whatever you want to call it the president would likely would call it a wall and then he says we were able to get the flexibility to still have the detention beds if they increase the number of Border Patrol agents if they increase the number of immigration judges he can state that that is also the case and I am also calling a national emergency they're going to try to stop me but as you can tell we're going to Prong here every budget bill going to try to get more and we've got it in the courts now and we're going to fight this thing all the way through to 2020. We'll get your
