prison term allowed under norwegian law was 22 years. breivik received a prison term that allowed authorities to keep him behind bars as long as he's considered dangerous. more backlash this morning surrounding the new book about the killing of osama bin laden. the author of "no easy day" is a former navy s.e.a.l. from s.e.a.l. team six that carried out last year's daring mission. the author gives a blow by blow narrative of the details. if the book leaks classified information, the author could be prosecuted. a girl reported missing more than two years ago has now been found in illinois. just 15 years old when she disappeared, the girl told police she escaped after being held captive for years and repeatedly sexually assaulted. they recovered her young child which she says is a product of rape by her captor. a 24-year-old man and his mother were arrested. new details. holmes as a student at university of colorado, the school was concerned enough about his behavior to run a background check on him. in june he failed an oral board exam. he then with drew from the school three days later. prosecutors argue events leading up to the massacre can help pinpoint a motive. wildfires scorching northern california. more than 60 homes have been destroyed and flames threatening almost 1,000 more. some 2500 firefighters are on the scene battling the blaze. and if you're storm coming up across and between kingston and on into cuba as the tropical storm makes its way over cuba. that's going to in exhibit the growth and in tensification. then as it makes it out to the show in do they have a recognition, especially the little ones, that they are tv stars? >> my little ones do sometimes. they will be like, hey, that's grandpa, that's grandma, that's our family. kind of like having home videos everybody watches. >> josh and anna, you have two grandchildren. i don't mean to get up in your business but are you happy to carry on this family tradition of really big families? >> we would love more. i think we're just learning to love the two children that god has given us. if he gives us more, we would be grateful. >> anna, what did your family think when you went to a family weddinging, i think it was your sister's wedding, and all the duggars came. was that the first experience with the big family? >> we were glad to have them back and we had a great time. >> i think it is sometimes overwhelming for people that may not interact with that large of a group to have everyone there and especially at a wedding where you have -- you're all dressed up and trying to keep everybody in order and keep them all in their right place and the right timing. it's definitely a lot of organized chaos. >> michelle, i've got to ask you, i read this this morning. i'm sure you've heard this before. it is a staggering fact. with 19 kids, have you been pregnant a total of 144 months of your life. that is 12 years. do you ever think about that? >> i do. i really do. i think it will be a sad day for me whenever i know that we're not able to have any more but we'll look forward to grand babies. we're definitely enjoying the ones we've got right now so hopefully we won't have that empty nest syndrome. >> i don't think you're going to have an empty nest for a really, really long time. jim bob, we talked about this last hour. i asked you guys, is it a matter of welcoming a child if it happens to come along or hoping to have more children you guys said we're hoping to have more kids. a lot of people might scratch their heads and say, really, is 19 not enough? >> yes. we really consider each child a blessing from god. each one of our children are glad to be here. aren't you guys? >> yes. >> they love their brothers and sisters. we've heard it said, if you learn to get along with your brothers and sisters, you can learn to get along with anyone. life in a big family is really preparation for life out in the real world. >> you have the two grandkids now. michelle, are you getting that grandma experience, something that feels different than the mothering experience we know you certainly have? >> definitely. it is the most wonderful thing. i've heard people say it's great. now i know what they were talking about. having these grandchildren is such a joy. they are precious. it is such a sweet relationship. >> well, it's so great to see you guys. i had the best time when i visited you. remember, i tried to remember all 19 kids' names. >> you were amazing. i was so surprised. you did better than i would have done? >> i don't know about that. i'm [ female announcer ] nothing leaves you feeling cleaner and fresher than the cottonelle care routine. try it. then name it. this morning on "today's" mom, mommy myths as parents tell a few little white lies here and there. is there any truth like sitting too close to the tv will cause you to become cross eyed. good morning. good to have you here. >> good to be here. >> this is near and dear to a lot of us, including you with your twin 7-year-old boy. >> i'm guilty of a lot of this, i have to confess. >> why do we, as moms, do this. >> i think to stop them from doing things you don't want them to do, sometimes to save your insanity and you reach for the first things that come to your mind. >> some things your mom told you at one time. >> exactly. >> some things on our facebook page, telling mom myths is not lying to my child, it was a resource to help keep them in check or out of trouble. i don't think of it as a lie. at that age, appealing to a kid's imagination is more effective than simply telling them not to do something. do you agree with that? >> there's a lot of truth to that. you have little kids yourself. >> i have a lot of mommy myths. >> you rip out whatever will work in the moment. as you said, often something something you've been programmed and you reach for it because it's what your mommy said to you. >> let's go through a couple of them. can you tell us if there's any truth. first, you hear so often, don't sit close to the tv, you'll end up close-eyed or blind. >> not true. you won't end up cross eyed or blind. tvs have changed a lot. >> i use this at home. >> i think you have to find another one. >> not affect their eyesight. next, swallowed gum takes seven years to digest. >> this is my favorite. i hit the look of a little kid chewing gum. not true. it will come out when you go to the bathroom. >> knuckles big. >> even though you don't like the sound of it. it's actually not true. not going to hurt you. it's the ligaments going over the bone that makes the noise or air escaping. >> couple more from our "today" mom's facebook page. don't swallow watermelon seeds. if you do, you might have a watermelon grow in your stomach. i don't think anybody buys this one. >> i don't think kids buy that one. you'll get an eye roll out of that one. as long as they learn about sunlight and air and all that stomach acid. >> amy clark says i tell my daughter if she acts naughty or lies her insides get crusty. she now tells on herself and corrects her bad behavior right away. i'm going to try that one. >> pretty good. >> pretty good. this is one. actually there may be some truth to this one. don't lick metal outside in the winter, your tongue will stick, as we saw in the christmas story, right? >> right. >> the kid whose tongue gets caught. >> that has a degree of logic to it. wet freezes quickly. kids don't do it. moms feel good about telling your kids that one. >> there is a little truth there. many enjoying the last days of summer. if you eat a meal, don't swim after, you could cramp or drowned. any truth there. >> you're not going to drowned. you may cramp. the whole hour afterward, if you ever try to contain a kid for an hour. you don't have to worry too much about them drowning. >> if your teen or tween wants to shave your legs. don't shave your legs, the hair will grow back thicker. any truth to this? >> what this is, if you shave your legs you're cutting the hair midway down the shaft. i didn't know this until we researched it. it looks thicker but is not thicker. it tapers at the end. it's a way moms have tried to preserve kids from sharveg their legs to preserve that innocence but it's not true. >> what about mommy myths that scare your child. a mom wrote on the website, i had such a terrible time keeping my 2-year-old in bed so i told her the night sharks come out and swim around the bed and will get her if she gets out, a bed. seems to work for her. >> i feel for kelly, because honestly i've said some things i've regretted the next day. we've all been there. the psychologist wouldn't recommend it. who hasn't said something to their kids like that. >> the last one here, wearing the hats, i guess the advice you often hear is that the heat escapes from your head, so moms always say make sure you wear a hat when you go outside. there is truth there? >> i'm guilty of using that one, too, to this day. apparently it's only true if you're a baby. the proportion of your head size to your body size. so you can't really get away with that anymore. >> for a newborn it applies. >> yes. >> thanks so much. >> thanks, natalie. >> up next, fast and fresh mediterranean meals greek style right after this. >> you just got back from greece and you were inspired. >> yes, there last week. everywhere i went there was beautiful produce like we have here today. everybody made this thing called fava. turns out nothing to do with the fava beans, but peas, like a puree. >> what are we going to do? >> yellow split peas, soak them in water, bring them to a boil and have them nice and tender like here. start off by adding them to -- not that. we're going to add to here. a little bit of fresh lemon juice. a little sea salt and a little bit of olive oil. once you have the desired consistency, you just puree that up. then you end up with a nice little puree like this. okay? basically the puree is going to be accompanied with this yogurt dressing we make. again, fresh lemon juice, huge. >> greek yogurt. >> beautiful. >> fresh organizatiegano or dry. honey, a staple ingredient in greece. al, would you do that for me? >> sure. >> take a tomato, core it here. >> how hard to core one. >> if you're comfortable with your knife skills, do what i do, if not cut off the top and do it with your fingers. cut off the bottom so it's straight. take the fava puree, yellow split pea, add it there. crumbled feta, chopped onion. okay? a little micro greens on top. >> nice, healthy look to it. >> once we're done, fresh yogurt sauce, drizzle like this, stuffed tomatoes, great oppose advertiser, two per person or if you have time make small ones. >> can you use that as a dip?
