you. >> thank you. an arrest in the murder of a mother and daughter in baltimore county. >> the suspect had close ties with the victims. george lettis joins us live from the newsroom with the latest on the investigation. >> the suspect could face charges because that mother was pregnant. police arrested 28-year-old brian eggleston for the murder of alicia avery and her daughter, darry'el parker. >> it hurts so bad. they did not deserve that. >> autopsy showed they were shot. their bodies were found on monday. the victims had been missing since thursday. authorities believe the relationship was getting rocky before the shooting. >> we are aware of reports of a domestic argument inside and outside that location several days prior to discovering the bodies. we're not certain that this is the individual involved in that verbal altercation with the victim. we believe it is. > police had put avery and her daughter inside the hotel. eggleston was arrested on monday for an unrelated drug charge. george lettis, wbal-tv 11 news. >> police are investigating a shooting in southwest baltimore. police say one man was found shot. no word on his condition or possible motive. >> a community is upset over the forced resignation of the montebello school principal. people came together in support of their principal, dr. camille bell, who was let go last week. those in support believe she was fired after speaking out about the murder of whatever students. she organized a meeting last week to develop a plan. she got an unannounced visit from personnel. >> they handed her a letter of non renewal. they told her that if she did not write a letter of resignation to the parents, they would write a letter to the parents. >> mary pat clarke says bell is upset she did not get a chance to say goodbye to our students. two more baltimore city schools are expected of cheating on the maryland assessment exams. the probe was announced by dr. andres alonso. the real scores are down 3.4%. math scores declined by nearly 5%. a new proposal is being pitched for an extra day to the school week for some students. that is not sitting well with the head of the union. >> i would prefer the parents of our children making that type of decision. i do not think that is a decision the school system should make. i think it should come from the parents. >> maryland students made slight gains in
