we are following breaking news also in baltimore county where a jury has just found jason gross guilty in the murder of a 16-year-old girl. the biggest issue in the case against jason gross, a body of michelle battle has never been found. roel melzer has the late breaking details. >> this is another history- making kasich in baltimore county. i will tell you why in a moment. it took the jury an hour-and-a- half to find 36-year-old jason gross guilty in the second degree murder of the killing of 16-year-old michelle battle. this is the second no -- body found -- no-body conviction in baltimore. before tackling the question to convict him without a body, they heard passionate statements from the state and from jason gross's defense attorneys. the case was especially difficult without the body, but all of the evidence pointed right to gross. they said the two met in a chat room in 2009 and set up a need on the sixth. cellphone records show that the two had a conversation that number of times before they met and before she went missing, their calls were bouncing off the same cell tower. they play audio of the phone calls showing jason gross telling a lie after lie he tried to set up a -- an alibi with a friend and he had illegally used an incinerator, which prosecutors say had been cleaned out. there was no evidence linking the defendant to the crime, according to the defense. they also pointed out battle's mother gave testimony where she said she knew her daughter was sexually active and used drugs with men ages 19 to 23. still, there was confidence in the
