virginia beach police are looking for a shooting suspect at the oceanfront. dispatchers say it happened around 2:00 this morning in the parking lot of "the cave nightclub" on atlantic avenue. police searched the area for a man they say, fired a police have not found the shooter. the u.s. marshal service is warning virginia residents about a national phone scam where individuals are claiming to be law enforcement officials collecting fines for failing to report for jury duty. marshals say they do not arrange payment of any fines over the phone. the scammers are trying to appear more credible by providing badge numbers and the names of actual federal judges and courthouse addresses. marshals say, do not divulge your personal or financial information to anyone you don't know. happening today, nearly 100 scientists will be in gloucester to talk about trash in our local waterways and oceans. it's part of the two-day virginia marine debris summit at the virginia marine science. scientists will talk about ways to prevent pollution in places like the chesapeake bay, which you can see in chopper 10. also happening today, the hampton branch of the n-double-a-c-p is inviting people to tonight's meeting to learn more about new businesses coming to the city. economic development will revamp the city's shopping centers, and fill empty stores. tonight's meeting starts at 7:00 at the
