Developing in newport news, police say theyre investigating a second methmaking operation on the same street as a previous bust over the weekend. Last night, investigators say they were following up on the first bust on middlesex road, just off warwick boulevard when evidence there led them to the second location across the street. Rico bush is newport news following all the moving parts of this investigation. Rico, so far police have not arrested anyone, but they are questioning several people, including some who drove away from the scene. Thats right, don and katie. Police say interviewed several people, including the people in that car, about the meth operation. They tell us charges are pending. Investigators say they found materials used for making meth at a first floor unit at the hidenwood north apartments on middlesex road around seven last night. Police say a man, woman and a 13year old boy were inside during the bust. While investigating the meth operation, detectives tell 10 on your side police pulled over a vehicle linked to the apartment that drove off from the scene. Police found two women, a man, and a 4yearold girl inside the vehicle at oyster point drive and nettles road. Its only a couple houses down from the meth lab police found last night. Investigators say a followup to sundays bust led them to the second home across the street. Don, katie, investigators say they havent arrested anyone yet, but tell me charges are coming for several people connected to the second meth operation. Undercover agents say they discovered materials used for making meth in a firstfloor apartment just before seven last night. Police found a man, women and a 13year old boy inside the home. Officers evacuated that apartment and several other homes as a safety precaution. While officers were investigating at the apartment, police say, a vehicle connected to the immediately drove off. Investigators followed that vehicle to oyster point drive and nettles road and stopped it.
