happened across from the rutgers newark campus on central avenue in newark. >> reporter: good morning, police want to stress they do not believe rutger students to be in danger this morning, crime scene has wrapped up the investigation here, what we have learn second that a rutger student was shot and killed overnight. another man is now in critical condition. this happened across the street from the rutgers newark campus. police and rutgers police were shots were fired in the second floor apartment of 28 central avenue. when police responded a was found bleeding inside the apartment and died at the hospital. a second man was found outside on the street, in critical condition this morning, both men are in their 20s. 3 people were taken in to custody about an hour and a half later and questioned by police. police are looking for two men this morning, both described to be hispanic 5'9", scene leaving the scene here. police issued an advisory to all students to let them know what rutgers is dead this morning, following a double shooting in newark, avenue before 10:00 last night. police are looking for two men seen running from the scene. that rutgers student was shot and killed in a second floor apartment, it happened just off of rutgers newark campus. a second man unaffiliated with the university is in critical condition, this happened before 10:00 last night, newark police and rutgers police were called to the scene here, police say the shots were fired inside the second floor apartment at 28 central avenue, which is above a sushi restaurant off campus. the man was taken, found inside the apartment and bleeding and died later at university hospital. a second man with affiliation is in critical condition. friends of the victim who did not want to talk on camera, showed up looking for answer close to this apartment. a student is dead. police looking for two suspects, men believed to be in their 20s, 5'9", seen running from scene. police issued advisory to students but don't believe rutger students to be in danger. investigation underway after a teenager slashed in the face in upper manhattan. police combed the scene for clues this east harlem, that's where a 19 year old was slashed across the face two. men approached the victim before attacking him and running off. hoe was taken to the hospital, expected to be okay. . a school security guard is set to appear in caught after investigators say he recorded a student inside a restroom. the boys restroom at roosevelt, a 16 year old boy was inside a stall. he videotaped him. he is accused of posting the video on snap chat. prosecutors charged him with unlawful surveillance and endangering the welfare of a child and williams was placed on administrative leave. investigators are looking in to a plane crash that left a passenger and pilot hurt. the plane crashed in to a utility pole. the pilots with circling back to bay portlanding strip after losing pow where ten engine went out. >>
