Turning now to the big story overseas, six people have now been detained overnight in raids in brussels linked to this weeks attacks on the citys airport and metro police stormed two central brussels neighborhoods and took six people into custody. Neighbors did say they heard explosions in the area. Prosecutors meantime say they will decide later today on possible charges. Also, a suspected terrorist who was arrested in france may have been in the advanced stages of planning a new attack. The French National was arrested during a raid in a suburb of paris yesterday. Officials say he was part of a Terror Network planning a high level attack in france. we are learning new details about the victims of tuesdays attacks in brussels, including siblings with ties here in new york. Of the 300 injured, at least a dozen are from the united states, the netherlands foreign minister says three dutch citizens were killed at the bombing at the airport this morning. Among them, the dutch media is are a brother and sister living in new york city. Graphic new video shows the bloody chaos after the bombs exploded in the Brussels Airport. Confusion reigns in the hospitals and burn centers where the victims are now being treated. A family that had been desperately holding out hope for two siblings from new york now fearing the worst. Sasha and alex were at the Brussels Airport to catch a flight home. Family members say theyve been given a list of people who survived and are in the hospital, but sasha and alex werent on it. Other young people from our area are sharing their moments of terror. It was huge. It was like a fire explosion. It shook the floor, the ceiling started falling. Reporter three students from Quinnipiac University were in the terminal when the bombs exploded. In spite of that scare, the University Says the overseas programs will continue as planned. They want to go on, they if if students stop traveling, that means the terrorists won. We dont want that to happen. Reporter again, the dutch government says three dutch citizens were killed in the attacks and the dutch media reports this morning that the brother and sister liveening new york are among the dead. New york city is donating a new recruit to help counterterrorism efforts. The foundation, k9s for cops gave a fullytrained police dog to the French National police. It was presented to swat leaders at the french consulate, hoping it makes up for the loss of a k9 named diesel who was blown up in a raid five days after the paris attacks last november. Its 4 35. Morning in a triple shooting that left a mother and her adult son dead on Staten Island. Three victims were confronted by a man who many have been upset or might have been upset over a car. Within the last hour, the nypd just released the name of the mother and son who were killed here last night. Its 21yearold Anthony Rivera and his mother, 47yearold adele rivera. And theyre still looking for the shooter this morning. All of this happened just after 6 00 last night on roxbury street here in Mariners Harbor in Staten Island. Police say Anthony Rivera and his friend were outside working on his friends car. At some point, they were approached by the suspect who fired off at least 15 shots. Now, Anthony Rivera was shot three times in the head and his mother heard the gunshots. She ran outside, she was also the friend, he was shot three times in the leg. He is now recovering at Richmond UniversityMedical Center and, again, police are working on a theory that this may have been a dispute over a car sale or car repair. Im telling him, just please breathe, im calling, you know, 911, screaming at other people to call 911. Other people are like why are you calling im like hes over here on the floor. They didnt know she was shot. Im telling 911, please send an ambulance, you have two bodies. Then i realized there was a third body across the street, it was probably another friend or Family Member that also got shot. Reporter now, the nypd says they did recover a weapon here last night, as well as shell casings, but the suspect fled in a darkcolored hyundai or honda. If you have information, call crimestoppers. And a yonkers livery cabdriver what he attacked and stabbed in the neck by a man who drove off with his car. Police found that car abandoned, but theres no sign of the attacker. Right now, the driver, christian aparo, is being kept alive by machines. What he attacked on he was attacked on North Broadway and when an artery walked across the street to the hospital. He is pulling through. We want to say hes pulling through. Hes still in intensive care, very intensive. We will continue going on to the hospital and mopefully pray for the best. Hes married and the father of six children. A woman in the bronx is planning to sue the nypd after an officer shot and killed her dog. The deadly encounter was caught on camera in the belmont section. The dogs owner cracked open her door after Hearing Police when the pit bull walked toward an officer wagging its tail, an officer shot it in the head. Here are your headlines, a few showers through early this afternoon. Even a little bit of fog out there this morning in some highs make a run at 70 later today with a little sunshine returning. It turns cooler over the weekend, but above average. Still above the low 50s. So, some of the warmer air is trying to make inroads into the southern half of new jersey. Check out the visibilities, down to a mile in morristown, a third of a mile at monticello. Theres a little bit of fog during the morning, that should burn off, actually as the rain comes in, the fog would tend to burn off. It scours out some of the low level moisture. You can see the radar showing the leading edge of the showers moving in through say the i287 corridor into Morris County and these will gradually actually pretty quickly move into the new york city area. I think theyll be in the city by around 7 00 a. M. , at least the leading edge of that rain, much of new jersey covered with and its on and off showers,we expect maybe 5 1 00th to maybe a 10th of an inch of rain by the afternoon. Jersey shore to long island, we will have rain, but to the city and points west, we will be clearing out temperatures will rocket up. Breezy and becoming warmer with sunshine returning later today. The high getting up to 69. Its clearing, its brisk and turning chillier overnight tonight. 41 in midtown, 30 in most of the suburbs, its a much cooler air mass coming in overnight. The nypd is looking for two men who posed as police before then sexually assaulting and robbing a woman in chelsea. Police say two men in this red camaro signaled to a 67year old woman to stop her car on west 16th street. This was back on february 29th. The suspects then identified themselves as Police Officers and thats when they sexually assaulted the woman and stole her purse before then just driving away. A baptist pastor in louisiana is preparing a special easter show and it includes being entombed.
