Back over to you. David lori. All right thank you. A massive fire has ripped through three story home in brooklyn killing one person inside and another person is still missing this morning. The fire broke out just after 1 30 this morning on richardson street in williamsburg. Eyewitness News Reporter kala rama is at the scene. Kala . Reporter david and lori, good morning i can tell you that that man that was found dead was found on the second floor of this building in a front bedroom. They are actively searching now for that second missing person. Take a look here this fire broke out around 1 30 in the were told. This building and a building in the back a second tenement building where the fire also spread. At this point we cannot tell you where the fire started but the flames ripped through every floor all three floors and then shot out of the roof of this building. Firefighters are calling this a five alarm fire. We talked to a man who was inside the building when the fire broke out. He says he ran outside with the clothes on his back and now this morning, he is worried about his two friends who he has not seen yet. All of a sudden, there was a boom. And fire and smoke and just came out of the blue. Reporter all right, take a look live here at what theyre doing. They are basically dousing the inside of the second floor. They are working on getting out all of the hot spots. Smoldering areas still in the building. Were told this building is also at risk of collapsing here. So firefighters are mostly trying to stay out of it. Besides still searching for that second missing person. At the height of this fire when it was at its worst, there were 200 firefighters here battling the blaze. Were told one of those firefighters was injured but hell be okay. After he was shot in the face. 18 mold mina beshay had surgery. He was shot saturday while sitting in a parked car on a street in jersey city and next to him was his 5yearold sister. Their father says she is traumatized and afraid to go home. She was scared to stay at home. She feels the glass going to be broken. At home. She told her uncle i scared to stay in my bedroom. Please i want to go with you with your room. Shes scared. Reporter police are still searching for the shooter. But they say witnesses are not cooperating. Meanwhile, jeer city mayor is jeer city mayor is speaking out about the gun violence. He says quote we continue to hire additional officers and deploy more officers on foot patrols but the challenge is daunting without larger changes to the overall system. Such as restricting access to guns by criminals. Well, gunman is still on the run this morning after shooting and killing two people inside a warehouse in paterson. This happened Early Saturday Morning on first avenue. The men who were killed are identified as 25yearold Fernando Irby and 27yearold kashif belfield. Police say there was a crowd of about 30 people inside a warehouse when the shots were fired. I heard a lot of commotion and people running up and down cars. And then one of the employees came in and said i think i heard gunshots. Well, were also told there may have been a rave party inside that warehouse at the time of the shooting. A grief counselor is available at an Elementary School in new jersey today to help student deal with the murder of a classmate over the holiday break. The bodies of 53yearold Michael Stasko his wife melissa and their 8yearold mellie were found on christmas in a luxury building in edge water. Police say mr. Stasko shot his wife and daughter and then killed himself. Counselors will also be available for mellies classmates when they return to class on january 4th. Breaking news overseas, the Iraqi Military says that it has regained control of a city seized by isis. Ramadi city which is west of baghdad was taken over by Islamic State militants earlier this year. Overnight iraqi Ground Troops aided by u. S. Air strikes were able to close in on the government complex that had been controlled by isis. Right now, Islamic State is said to control a third of iraq and syria. Were going to be looking at rain mixing with sleet and more to the north and west and then overnight temperatures of about 38 degrees. Tomorrow we have some rain that were looking at a temperature morning around upper 30s around the five boroughs and it will be rain and but mostly sleet north and west especially above i287. One man has been killed and another person is still missing afteran Early Morning fire in williamsburg. One officer rather firefighter was also injured. Reporter lori, i can tell you that firefighters are still looking for that missing person after they found that man dead on the second floor of this building thats been gutted. They are still dousing the building from every angle here to look into every level to see if they missed anything here. Were told the building is possibly going to collapse. Because it is unsteady. The flames ripped through all three floors of this building. Take a look, the fire broke out at 1 00 this morning. We were there as ten people were inside and tried to make their way outside here as flames literally gutted this building and a building behind it. Another tenement building. We talked to one man who made his way outside worried about his two friends with just the clothes on his back. Listen. Surveillance video shows thible 8yearold 88yearold driver appearing to park outside the new rochelle store and then hits the gas crashing through the door and hitting a customer. Family says the victim is jeff wiener and they say hes now recovering with a badly broken ankle. And will have to undergo surgery this morning. Its going to be extremely long road to recovery. Two men hit a td bank on merrick road in massapequa yesterday. You can see one holding the teller up with a handgun. Police tracked down Rafael Herrera saturday. Several Church Leaders upset this morning after by by jesus dash baby jesus statues were stolen from scenes in new jersey. Claire Catholic Church is the latest church to have the jesus statue stolen and perhaps the person whos doing there thinks this is some kind of joke but the archdiocese isnt laughing at all. They have now asked the police to get involved and fine the people and hold them accountable for the committing the sin of stealing. Now five churches in four neighboring new jersey towns have had their baby jesus statues stolen from Outdoor Nativity scenes. All of this happening within the last few days. Whomever is taking the statues certainly very bold and very daring because all of these scenes are outside and theyre on church property. And many parishioners are not laughing at all either. They think its very disrespectful and downright devilish of someone to walk into a sacred and symbolic church display and steal a baby jesus statue. People that are crazy. They dont have nothing to do. Thats the devil inside them man. Thats why they stole it. They have to bring back the reporter and the archdiocese release statement saying its very disappointing this is taking place at this time of year, our hope is that this is something northern a prank they say and they hope police will find out who is doing this. Right now the police arent saying if aloof these thefts are somehow connected but nonetheless they are hoping the person or people who are responsible for this will simply do the right thing and bring those statues back.
