Last night, hours after the shooting, police still on the scene, towing away a vehicle with shotout windows, searching for additional evidence as the investigation continues. This was a drivebyshooting and its believed the driver of the car opened fire. The 6yearold girl who was shot was struck in the leg. A 24yearold man was shot and killed. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. A third person, a woman, was grazed on the knee and treated at the scene. Residents say enough is enough. Im really outraged with it. I think they need to put the cameras back up here on this block like they used to have and not just have patrols for the next couple days because you guys are here, but get us foot patrol because now its a child. Lets do something. Reporter now, just a few months ago there was a shooting just a block from here. As for this case, police say though know who theyre looking no arrests reported yet. Break news out of chile. Officials are assessing the earthquake. The 6. 2 magnitude quake hit early this morning in central chile. Officials say the earthquake did cause buildings to sway. The tremor was one of a series of aftershocks after a deadly earthquake in september. Two of the louisiana officers accused in the shooting death of a 6yearold boy are now facing charges. The officers were arrested last night and charged with murder and attempted murder. Theyre accused of opening fire on a mans car on tuesday killing his 6yearold son, jeremy. The head of the state police says it is still unclear why those officers opened fire. They also say no weapon was found inside the car. We took some of the body camera footage. Im not going to talk about it but im going to tell you this. It is the most disturbing thing ive seen. Jeremy, six years old, he didnt deserve to die like that, and thats whats unfortunate. Investigators say the officers were attempting to serve a warrant on that little boys father, but state police say they have no record of any kind of warrant. Two other officers were involved in the shooting. It is still unclear if those two will face charges as well. Families in russia meantime continue to plead with the government for answers as they say goodbye to loved ones killed in the metro jet crash in egypt. Death of one of the victims during a funeral yesterday. Crews are still working to identify the more than 200 victims of that crash. There is a grim consensus among western intelligence agencies that a bomb probably brought down that Russian Airliner in egypt. A u. S. Counter terrorism advicors believes a bomb went crash. The crash prompted new u. S. Security measures focused on commercial flights from airports in the middle east heading into the united states. Prosecutors say darnell green placed him in a choke hold and thats when william witfield slashed him in the head, face and wrist. He needed more than 20 stitches to his face. Security has now been increased. Today family and friends will say a final goodbye to a young girl and her Wake Services were held yesterday for 10yearold nyanna aquil and lewis perez. Their funerals are today. Guests are asked to wear nyannas favorite color, sky blue. A 78yearold man rendered helpless when robbed by a group of young people. The attack played out in front of a surveillance camera. The victim was walking alone toward his vehicle when four males between 16 and 21 years old approached him from behind. The suspects pushed the man against his car, then took off with his wallet and then fled the scene. The man managed the escape, thankfully unharmed. This is the second Fatal Shooting in just a couple months in this neighborhood. Yesterday among the victims statute, a 6yearold girl who was on that shot, a 6year old girl on that porch. Last night the investigation went through the night as police were here towing away a car that had a shotout window, searching for evidence as their investigation continues. That shooting took place around 2 30 in the afternoon here in plainfield. A 24yearold man shot an killed, pronounced dead at the hospital. The 6yearold girl re mains in the hospital. Another woman was grazed on the knee, treated her at the scene. Now, this was a driveby shooting. Police believe that the person who was driving the car actually fired several shots, and for residents, they say this has got to stop. Get the foot patrol back, get the cameras back. Have all the cameras up here on the poles, put them on, lets watch and get ahead of it before it gets out of line. Reporter well, indeed this morning an increased police neighborhood. Police are searching for the man who opened fire on a brooklyn street hitting a man in the leg. These surveillance pictures show a gunman accused of shooting a man wednesday in brownsville. Investigators say the suspect fired several shots before handing the gun to a woman he was with and then taking off. The victim was treated at the hospital and is expected to be okay. Developing this morning, a texas state judge is recovering after someone shot her in her driveway. The happened in austin, texas. Investigators say the district judge was rushed to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. Right now there are no suspects, nor any indication that the shooting is related somehow to her work as a judge. Police interviewed witnesses well into the night. A truck driver was killed last night by an amtrak train headed here to new york city. The collision happened south in alabama. The train was going from new orleans to new york when it hit the dump truck. Its not clear why the vehicle was on the trucks. Thankfully, was injured. In connecticut, a couple is fighting for more insurance money after a man driving without a drivers license crashed into their driveway and their prized vintage car. Surveillance video shows the driver crashing into two parked cars, one of them a 1974 chevy nova. They were working on the car at time, nearly ended up underneath as it was pushed by the out of control driver, winding up 7 feet away from where it was parked. I see a lot of people working on their cars out in the street and im like i would never work out in the street because theres a chance of goating getting hit. You would figure youd be safe in your driveway. You would figure. Recovering. Police are using the Surveillance Video to track down that driver and charge him for driving without a license and leaving the scene of a crash, but the Insurance Company says it will only pay the palmers 10,000, one quarter of what will cover the damage done to that 1974nova. Tension to report on in upper manhattan as a battle is brewing on the streets of inwood where business is booming these days. Residents say new restaurants and night clubs have paved the way for more Valet Service and that has taken up Parking Spaces in the area. One woman says she observed the valets illegally parking cars, violating traffic rules and clogging up free spaces. They park them on the street or double park them and this has become contentious, taking away the rare parking spots in new york city. Some residents tell us it could sometimes take up to an hour on any given night to find an open space on the street. Theyre asking police to please enforce the parking rules.
