Ago that one suspect has been taken into custody after being found at a manhattan hospital. All of this again about all of this began about 10 30 last night near park avenue and North Portland avenue. Three officers in an unmarked car spotted three men in some kind of dispute and when those cops circled back and confronted the men one of the suspects simply opened fire. Now the cops themselves very lucky in all of this. They were not struck but their unmarked car was hit by bullets several times. Officers did return require but the suspects managed to run away. Now a large section of the area immediately was shutdown. Several local roads have been closed and cops canvassed the area eventually finding a gun underneath a nissan suv here at the scene and so they do believe at this hour that was the gun used to shoot at the officers. Now, one suspect, a 21 year old man was found just minutes ago at beth israel hospital after checking himself in for a gunshot wound to the leg. Is now in custody; however the other two suspects remain on the loose. Now back here again at the scene, live still a very active scene. Several Police Officers still here at the scene. Several roads blocked off. Youll see the yellow tape here live behind me and again, the gun they did find under that nissan suv is believed to be the gun used to shoot at the officers but again they were very lucky they were sitting ducks in their unmarked car being shot at by one of those three suspects but those cops again were not hurt taken to the hospital as a precaution but we arent injured in all this and again that one suspect at Beth Israel Medical Center after turning himself in with a gun shot wound to the leg. Certainly this could have turned out a lot worse. More live reports coming up, for now reporting live in brooklyn, rob nelson, channel 7 eye witness news. Rob thank you.
