Theyve been working to pull that out all afternoon. We did get word they were able to pull two dogs that survived the whole entire blast. They were in the home next door to the home that dogs were rescued and expected to survive. One man did die, a 24yearold man who lived in the second floor on the backside of the house where the blast occurred. His wife and 10monthold son were also in the front of the room. She had just taken him out of his bedroom and his bedroom window is directly across the house that exploded. Reporter they were all able to stumble out through the rubble to safety and brought to Trinitas Regional Medical Center along with three others. Being treated as minor trauma at this time. Just got out of cat scan so at this point were still waiting for results. Reporter an 8yearold girl was brought to the hospital. She was two or three rooms down, a mirror came off the wall and sfruck her in the back. Reporter two of the victims suffered severe burns. Because of the large number of victims, 16 in all, dr. John dangelo came. But wayne shepherd is certainly thankful he and his family made it out alive. Its bad. We probably lost everything. Except each other. The charters flight from dayton to akron crashed in to a ball of flames less than two miles from the airport.
