>> always. >> thank you, everyone. really quick, over view of when we got going on here. we photocopied the summer camp program and transitioned after school. we have about 21 kid registered with average of 15 showing up every day, which is good of every day we get inquiries about how more families can yoin our program and working with them to the challenge of being the school bus have pushed back to stop at the y. we have been working and connecting with them for the busses that don't stop here we can get more family in our program. our interests from since summer gone up. because at this point so early in the year we would have had 12 kids registered. we are seeing momentum and continue to build trust with the family. we are partnering to do you know fun events here at the facility for halloween and working with parents to do a nice haunted house maze. we are looking forward to that events. and on the june side we are excited share we will do a relaunch grand opening of the gym. the y is going to be putting investment in the facility. we will be painting the fitness room and getting rid of first of all a few small piece of equipment now all the equipment. and bringing in new equipment that you will see at any facility. can be you get a full body work out. we will do rebranding and cleaning up the building on the ouchdz to make it put up signage so people know where we and are what we offer. we are in the process of hiring group classes so that they will come along with the grand reopening and we will do changing out the lights so not the yellow color. that's like ymca is putting money arc side to invest in this and useings the other funding we have. to put fitness on the side of the gym we invested a lot over the last 2 years on the youth side we'll bring it up on health and well knowledge side to make it an attractive place to be and a place more will want to come. >> arc side from there we are launching weekend programming starts next mont on saturday youth programs. we are confirming things that should be skate board program and photographer program and once an among takes kids off the island for field trip like a day trip to whether to a park or a movie or roller blading. so that is something we'll offer once an among notoriety community. and we are opened on saturdays again. we are open monday-saturday. which is saturday for the facility side and get our names out there and lastly, we partnered with hsa? but the organization called veggie for vouchers allow us to give each household up to 24 -- 240 dollars in vouch torse get groceries that program is coming back and should start giving vouchers next week. we are figuring that out. that is everything we got going on here at the y. for now. >> bob, can i -- can i chime in, i forgot to say the ymca is hosting the halloween event and thank you for that. they are allowing you to use the gym that it is a great space i want to give credit where it is due. >> thank you. >> thank you, thank you. and before we go on, i justment to ask you we had funded the photographer program this summer. and we will like your honest evaluation of that program. so that can make it better if we can. >> i once we got the program up it was really great. the instructor was victoria who was here and we paris and jill we talked to them at planning the program went really well. in the beginning [inaudible] no audio. >> can't i think -- >> it ended up sorry. merge nothing our current summer programs we had. if we they adjusted because it was like entering third to 7th grade they were able to scale it become and work with the kids we had in the facility. and went limp they'll bring a banner on friday. that has a lot of the youth art work. [inaudible]. with each kid had a portfolio we will be giving out they made like the little banners they got photos they took the entire time and they have their people, that's nice the kids like. and the -- few extra photos that were printed it turned out nice. and we have been having conversation busy how we can keep the enter we have now working on a saturday that is the saturday program we are trying to launch and the one thing i don't think was good of merged with the y it was not communicated to the communities that if you want in the summer program you can come to the drop in during the 2 hours we had. we want to get this message out that it is open to anyone. very interested. >> commissioner -- >> yes. ychls thank you to miller she upon answered this is very inspiring and i'm wondering, this program is a successful you are keeping their residents especially the youth and young adults on treasure island engaged. people don't hear of this progress. you know every now and then we hear all the things, how can we. i want to pose that question to you. you know miller and shanti and may be you may not be able to answer now. help under the circumstances out because there are so many wonderful programs that tida is sponsoring and in fact we got from the art's commission, we are on the treasure island yerba buena art's committee. and everyone is very excited. we wanted to make sure we keep this programs going. you know getting people here and keep adding up and motivating them. the photography program we can link that to the city. we can do that. some of the kids can interact with the other programs in the city. so, find a way because that is what i will be concentrating on now. how do we get information to the communities at large. so people get a depth whf we are doing on treasure island we spends money and resource. and training and they are tremendous successes that we need to show case. so -- those are my comment and i wanted to -- convey we appreciate your work on the island. keep doing them and we will keep supporting you. >> thank you. thank you, go ahead, bob. joog thank you. tomorrow, one treasure island tide at sailing center and sailing science center will be hosting a clean up day at cliffard cove from 9 to 1. volunteers clean up along the cove and be a picnic lunch equipment will be provide and aville tear wear comfortable shoes and out door work attire >> the people have questions they can contact rihanna at one treasure island. also, one treasure island will be hosting hispanic heritage month celebration at the shipshape on september 20 between 3:30 and 6:00. all community members are welcome there will be food and other foods. staff working on preparations for fleet week october 8 and ninth this year. while we are continuing to appropriate for crowds we are trying to work with media outlets to advise the public to discourage crowds from descending on the island. we don't have the pace we had with the lawn in the past. on the weekend of the 15th, there will be a day to night music festival. from noon to 9 p.m. and staff are working with organizers, security and their. the organizers traffic management team to coordinate for that event. on the housing fund, new residents moved in the bristol on yerba buena island. for star view court. work is progressing with the excavation of foundations and setting of rebar. the first private parcel 2.4 north of the chapel has also completed driving files and begun excavation of foundations. we had 2 power outages one on august 21, limit said to [inaudible] and another on august 29th caused by mylar balloon getting in the lines that second outage was limited to ti. both outages service was restored in both cases in under 2 hours. and -- the service restoration time and the fact that the outage dids not affect both islands at a single time is some indication that -- the work with puc to localize and limited outage system having benefits. tida staff working to schedule a series of limited planned outages. each lasting impacting 4-5 residential buildings. begin nothing august and continuing to a last outage planned for saturday october first. >> through these efforts we'll have replaced 6 transformers. and 15 cross arms on older poles. >> also, on august 11th, the city made its first sale of bonds under the irfd selling 30.3 million dollars of revenue bonds. these will be used to reimburse infrastructure and development costs. for ticd. and 4.7 go in the construction of the fair view court building. they these bonds are secured with tax increment with 80 to 2-1/2% available and the other 17 and a half % reserved for tida use in constructing new affordable housing on the island. we had really will good investor demand for the product. secured a true interest cost 4.85%. for financing in the current market is a very good favorable rate. this is the first irfd debt issuance in the state of california. the irfd prosecute visions created after the dissolution of redevelopment and are the way we leverage the city's tax increment commitment to the development of the island. and the that concludes my reportful i'm sorry. one other thing, approximate the -- environmental lawsuit filed against the navy, contractors, tida and the state of california, was dismissed by u.s. district court on august 30th. the plaintiffs had until september 12th to file if they wanted reconsideration for specific plaintiffs in that case. they declined. they do still have the ability to appeal the ruling of the court dismissing the lawsuit. if they elect to do that do so that appeal would need to be filed the end of october. that concludes my report. >> thank you. very much, bob and thank you nela and shanti for your news i will open up for questions or comments and i see that mark you have your hand up? >> just a quick question for bob, you know how would you say that bond well the bond sale went top expectations. was it above, below? curious about this. so to see what the future might look like. i think the -- the -- bond sales went as favorablely as we could have hoped. there was significant interest from a number of institutions and the interest rate we were able to look in is -- pretty favorable considering the current inflationary pressures and other things. that are affecting the bond markets. so -- i think over all, it was a very favorable debt, ance for the program. >> thank you. >> questions? >> yes. linda. thank you very much. bob, thank you for your presentation. one question about the yerba buena power outage. what was it? my recollection is that the first time we had power outage on that island? >> what was the cause? >> we had a few power outages on yerba buena island. we had one in june where a vehicle hit an electric pole. but the majority of our outages on yerba buena island have been the result of tree contact with over head lines. we are in the process work width puc the new electrical distribution infrastructure on the under grounded installed. and we are in the process of energizing a number of things street lighting that was connected to old over headlines. to the joint trench over the next few months we hope to under ground most if in the all of the electrical system on yerba buena island. so -- at that point tell all be on new under ground electrical infrastructure better protected from potential outages. that's great. new development and new infrastructure so tell we will be watching to see the reliability of the electrical system. thank you. >> good. all right. is there other board member's comments. none, that's do we have public comment? there is one caller on the line. i will open the comment. thank you. >> hi. hello director this is is mike with the treasure island museum. i had an extra thing to add this saturday coming up on the 17th we finished construction on our new gallery space in building one and having an opening of the new exhibit. tell be 10:30 in the morning and supervisor dorsey will join us to get things started an open house all day where you can go and check out the exhibit and talk to the exhibitors and also we commissioned a piece of art work -- poster in the style of like the woods or golden gate recreational area. we hope might be a part of a new series promoting treasure island and unveiling that post and artist on hand to sign. i'm hoping that you might be able to join us. thank you. >> thank you, mike. for that announcement glad the museum has space renovated space in building one. and certainly the history of treasure island is important. i'm glad your organization is doing that. and -- would be great for you to sends us notices of open houses so we can try to make it if we could. >> thank you. >> to the museum failing to mention that i had upon typed in my note and did not print out a fresh version to read from. thank you, michael for including that. >> okay. upon are there other comments, kate. next item. >> no more callers item 5 communications from and received by tida. >> okay. are there any comments by board members? i would like to say in terms of the communication device, news reports that were totally erroneous. talking about the connections on the i lands. we have a commitment to make sure that people on the island have replacement housing am i upon don't where that type of false rumors are being made but i wanted to. certainly net that is not the case. and then i would like to say there was that ground break for star view court. which is the latest affordable housing project that is being build by mercy housing. it is housing for families. on the island. on the other project, for formerly homeless vet residence but star view court is for families it is a great mile stone and there was a grounds break for that project. so. i wanted to note that as well. other comments? >> yes. >> yes. commissioner tsen. >> go ahead. >> thank you for that clarification. what i would like to suggest and probably at some point we need to permanently let people know they are not evictions. i read in the sxarp was surprised. again. disseminating accurate information to the community is very important. and at some point i would like to suggest that even just to make sure we can engage our service providers, housing providers on the island thap we invite them to go to our commission. specifically to ask housing questions and to nail this in the bud and when we get this information, i received calls from just every where. and i know we are not evicting anyone we are trying to relocate families and spending millions of dollars to do that. working with the mayor's office of housing. and the community development and nonprofits and one treasure island. tida has spent a lot of money to keep residents supporting them and to make sure they are relocated for those that want to stay on the i lands. mr. beck will mention that. during the business. commissioner tsen will mention that i wanted add that at some point in the near future we should provide tuile to one treasure island let them community how they method residents. if you know evictions to irrelevant help us to clarify the disinformation going on. thank you. >> we are working with arws on a pair of fact sheets and asked questions. pages. and we will be the information as well and -- sending out messages to all residents. also -- some of those comments cited by carol harvey were at a town hall that was sponsored by the treasure island mobility management agency. and they are working on a document and will be providing input on that as well to address questions raised in that forum >> and in addition we will be having entertaining the discussion with the nonprofit provider. >> yea. >> i would like to suggest that soon are than later we have conversations that with the nonprofits. a lot of people are at a loss. i think with residence denials are listening to is the villages the villages and -- left out of the conversation am even their property managers don't know what is going on. so -- nogz what linda is saying i would like to be organized event. where all the property managers and all the providers get the same information at the same time and an agenda when to have the information begin in i practical manner so everyone understandses. i would hate to see the development go with the confusion going on around the whole transition with the villages. there was confusion. >> kate. so, were there public comments. there is no public comment. >> next item >> item 6 on going business by board of director it is. >> is there anything that would like to be mentioned by the board? >> mark, i see your hand up. >> i just short of going forward with the last speakers to that [inaudible] usually pretty core. they when you hear about treasure island or read anything it is always on a negative opposed to the amazing things and the future that we are looking forward to. and so i don't know if we have a press person. but if there is a way we can counter the negative of the press and some way to and beginning to become. some way to get a steady influx of positive information positive information out to the public. >> was there any validity to what carol reported as far as that man being the report the modia report on treasure island? no, no. no -- and then -- so then may be that is one of the first places we needed to start and piggyback off what mark said and to you know. this is not true f. it is in the true they need to know. when it come down to treasure island is a small community a naval community no one is here but no one in san francisco knows about it. they don't know the intkaess and i feel mark we are tight knit good community and people look at us like, poor treasure i lands we live in the best communities in san francisco. weez navigate this. how do we include people of in that? how do we give them the big are picture. i mean often it is like people pity you. and do you know where i live and see the views you understand the access i have? and i can appreciate one treasure island with the oral history and the museum and the properties like linda mentioned we have out here; then we are good. do we have a press person. how do we get this information out there. you know because it makes the feedback that is coming to the residents who is live here they are like what don't we know. they feel like they are left out the loop like somebody sinister going of >> thank you. if for this and i agree we have an incredible community here there is a few that ament for their own reasons to put out there. false information. this is false information making in the picture news letters they have. well is not much we can do if well is that type of social media going on. but we can do more to have positive means throughout. and we have been trying to do that. and together with ticb on having good press reports. butch you are right. press wants to look at negative rather than the positive. hearing from island residents such as yourself. bob, did you want to add. no you hit on the challenges there. that -- where we try to get the to crack the -- narrative whenever we can. and get the word out. >> right. >> good. okay. so then, hearing no public comment, next item. >> item 7 consent agenda of 7a, ooh proving the minutes of july 13th meeting 7b. resolution thursdaying the director to issue a request for proposal for as needed environmental engineering and oversight services of the environmental remediation program 7c. the treasure island director everdirector for services relating to the implementation of the transition housing rules and regulations for the villages at treasure island. 7d. authorizing the 47th amendment to the treasure island land matcher lease with the authority and united states navy to extend the term. >> are there items on this consent agenda which anyone would like to call out to are considered individually. we will take a vote on the consent agenda. but do we have to take public comment first before we vote? >> then. kate. is there public comment. >> well is no public comment. >> then, board, we need a motion and a second to, so moved. >> second. roll call. >> director tsen. >> aye. >> director dunlop. >> yes. director richardson. >> aye. >> director breston. >> aye. >> thank you. and there are 4 aye's. >> the aye's have it. i wanted it make sure that item 7c, which is authorizing the rfp for the transition housing rule and regulations of villages of treasure island that rfp come back to the board that we can look at it before it is issued. will you do that? >> thank you. we filed for review with the civil service commission on that as well. >> thank you so much. then the aye's have it. item 8 treasure island park name updates. >> and bob. are you introducing the item. >> yea. so -- from ticd will be here to present this item. the there are a number of parks names that are being presented for information so as we go through the presentation if directorsment to weigh in on specific locations and names that are being proposed you can do so our at your choice. we'll take comments or questions you may have at upon ends. >> [inaudible] on the park's program. and today i will be presenting treasure island and major park names. to the board. back in may when we presented to you the initial presentation i will go back and go through the schedule. in february of 2020 the first park's production started in april the presentation to cab about the park names and miwe came to the board. now we are back to present both tida, cab and board for board directors [inaudible]. we need -- [inaudible] we as a team all the designers we went back and we revisited names. we talked to the marketing team. did also talk to the museum and few stake holders about the name. and as requested by board and cab -- we provided an alternative to names. but we added a bit more back grounds information here. and context for the naming. we'll be looking into approval for the names and next month. and in the spring of 23 we are plan to hope parks on treasure island. in 2015, we presented board and cab for yerba buena or yerba buena [inaudible] names and those were approved. all of the names inspired by golden gate exhibition. we have a few photos here going become to that history of the island. and i wanted mention that a lot of names are based on individual that are connected to the island and -- their names are used here you see the historical names and also the show here all the names that were selected. in 2021. tida approved the yerba buena park names. those were inspired by the [inaudible]. so -- we have on that element. the name in gray are approved for yerba buena partials and pink names are proposed for treasure island. we will go back. now in 2022, we are presenting names for treasure island. and the idea is to go to name them after the aviation history of the island. some of the parks will be named on the future and programming of the parks. so. the photos and images from -- the time that the i lands was planned to serving as the airport. the historical buildings are still there. here a photo of the pilots walking outside of the building one. and a photo here of the circle. you on the island and -- also the postcard showing the connection with the -- island and the history of [inaudible] and the island at the airport. the first park is -- treasure island landing. we proposed 2 alternatives and based on our research most of the bay area landing for the ferry or other types of communication transportation is the first part of the name is the name of the place. so -- here it would be treasure island that is why most of the names proposed are starting from treasure island. gateway. because it will be so it is alternate is treasure island gateway. it is the door to the i lands from the bay and -- another is treasure island gateway park. we think that the space would not only serve other transit hub and as a park there will be a lot of elements programming elements for people to feel just you know enjoy their time well and men in the future and also by residents the park named the gateway park and treasure lieshgs around park will be the official name. the option of naming this -- park midway landing. and that is to connect the park with the history of the clippers and noticing from the i lands to the island that was of midway and there is -- was a -- was a connection with the island in that part of the left and also was the residents from the island that was important in the battle midway. [inaudible] so that was this is the um -- something that museum brought to our attention. um -- um -- next park is um building one plaza the park on the front of the building one. um the proposed name is um that we presented before was transpacific plaza. um -- i wanted to um -- show close that photos of elements that are on the building one. so you can see here the showing the plains and connecting us to that history of the island. will um -- the park will be serving as a connection with the ferry and the building will be recreation area to enjoy the views. um -- we have 2 alternative names. um -- transpacific plaza and plaza pacifica. court pacifica. pacific plaza and pacifica plaza. um -- we want to propose the alternatives convention of the reason why we have the name here, west. we want to propose the option to name the park on the front and the back of building one the same name but named them with the east and west options. um, we want to um am -- were thinking about um -- seeing that park @as one and during the gold emgate exhibition there were courts and yours that were called east and west. so we think that might add a bit to the golden gate exhibition times. um -- next is the um -- marina plaza. which was the previous name for the space behind building one. um proposed name um -- that you seen before was cliffard cove plaza. and now um -- we have few alternatives to that. so not only connecting that um -- to the cliffard promenade across the street but trying to name that park around building one as one and treat it as one space. similarly transpacifica, plaza pacifica east court of pacifica east. pacific unity plaza east and pacifica plaza east. you see, a lot of names connect us to this the clifford so the transpacific route and some sculptors that are in the collection of the building one plaza. . um -- bodiesing 2 plaza um -- it is on the front of building 2. um -- proposed name was mann pan am grove. and i mention here that um am -- we are trying to brought up before by [inaudible] and i think at the previous meeting here, too, that we want to make sure that this core of buildings building 1-3 they have the same um idea of naming. we go back to the history of the clippers. and we can keep this core upon um, name, idea, um, the same. here you see some historical plans from actually from golden gate exhibition. you can see there is some on the fronts of the building 2 there is some aviation exhibit. in the back of the building one, the back of that serving the pan american air ways. um -- and also on the buildings 2 you see the relieve the spirit of transportation. that's um um another item that brings us become at this time pacific clippers and the airport. um -- so there is in the, lot of alternatives that are provided here. we want twhoon is added olive grove am um -- the pan am grove connects to the clippers olive transplanted to this area. so we feel that will be a connection to the programming but also a bit to the history. um -- the museum the idea of using the name of the family that did planted the olives. but i want to clooir clarify that was not something that the the family is interested in. we are not providing this name as an alternative. and um -- also to clarify the one of the main ideas for the park name system to stay, way from names of people living on the island or connected to history. that was something used with the street names. we are not propotion names after people from the parks. building 3 plaza. previous name was the hang are yard. um -- this is more um, commercial may be more industrial um looking park. will be mostly parking lot with some -- some of the parking area might be used for um -- festivals but more industrial looking park. um 2 alternatives that might feel softer was um of [inaudible] park and [inaudible] court. um -- the idea of that bringing the second park toft court names came from the golden gate exhibition there was a lot of yours named court toward that -- um on that in that plan. um, clipper promenade. that was previously nought propoedz name was clip are promenade. 2 alternatives is treasure island promenade and treasure island [inaudible] [inaudible] um the common law used the [inaudible] the reason why we thought about similar to waterfront plaza there are few promenades and adding more program nad so if we would want to simplify the promenade those are options. cultural park proposed name is chapel green. that is the parks around the chapel. the main feature the chap and he will a box of trees around typeset in the lawn. um alternatives here still connect will -- are connect us to the chapel. so um -- we have chapel greens and gardens. cultural guard gardens. chapel grove and chapel glenful um -- [inaudible] next to the chapel but also may be instead of using the name, green, those will that will be a garden that can hold events and grove there trees. city side park. that was the name but prom posed name for this park. it is the longest park that will be provided in the phase 1 and 2 of the treasure island development. and will have the new [inaudible] and the promenade on the [inaudible]. so the connection with the city is obvious. that's yet proposed name was city side park. vista park because of the view. connecting us to the park and blossom [inaudible] park and that alternative came from the name of the bay between san francisco and treasure island. ummism believe this is the last park we'll be talking about today. so east side commons prosecute poedz name the commons. and that is the park that is linear park between residential um development um will have multiple gardens in it it is 2 alternatives going to that. green way gardens is one of the alternatives and the other is green way park. trying to connect more to the highway the park is linear and um not may be a common um [inaudible] how the park is square and surrounded by residential units. you see all the names on the plan. . these are the ones we are trying to get approved at in point and then the gray ones other parks for the yerba buena parks. we have a slide here that we can open for help open the discussion because we have all the alternatives and all the proposed names. i will just open for questions and comments so we can take all of those in consideration and provide you a final name next month. >> thank you. and those were great illustrations and a clear summary of where we have been. there has been a lot of discussion about the parks and it has been several years from 2015 when we had the park about naming conventions. which are always important names are always important. and the way of way finding so people will the places are. i have suggestions myself. i would like to invite the other board members to say when they think. but if i could begin i would say that first of all i think the idea of after the. aviation history of the island is a good idea. in that it is history. the street names we vote history by naming certain streets after artists and various other historic figures. which i thought was a good idea. but um -- for the various names i think for um the treasure i lands landing i think that is a good name because it it is clearly treasure island not somewhere else. and make its clear for google maps and it is's landing. it is where the ferry come and where people land on central american island. that is appropriate. on the pacific plaza the plaza in front of building one, i think that is a good name because it was the theme that was in the exposition the other alternative that i think would be consider is pacific unity plaza because pacific unity was also the main theechlt ecpeldition and several murals that we had which really emphasized the connection that themented to make between our part of the pacific and the other part of pacific and bringing those people together >> the pacific unity plaza might be a good name but transpacific is all right as well. on the treasure cove plaza. it is the plaza behind the building one. i think it clearly is locate said it it is next to the clipper cove. i think clipper cove plaza is a good namism think an east and west is confusing like transpacific plaza east. first of all it is a mouthful and secondly people will not remember west and east. it better to have a separate name for it. clipper cove plaza does this. the pan am grove. where is that, the that is in fronts of building 2 plaza. it is more preferable than olive grove. that is furthering that aviation theme. olive grove does not do that. the yard i think this is up in the air. aviator court. talking more than court than the park. is fine. but hang are yard is fine as well. and then the promenade along clipper cove and calling places where that is. we may have other promenades in the future and so having clipper cove is a good idea. as far as the cultural park with the chapel is, chapel green is fine think you know chapel gardens or chapel grove would be acceptable. and then the city side park that is important park but tell be the largest park and it is the front door. it is our living room. it is facing the city. and -- i don't think it it is appropriate to name it blossom rock park. city side park or vista park because it has a vista is a possibility. up to this point we have been calling city side park in all of the documents. so i think that may be carrying on that through this -- document s and may be carry on that name city side park and the east side common sense a linear park is a series of open space and green spaces. . and i think having it be proposing the commons i think green way gardens might be an appropriate thing. so. those are my comments and i like to hear from the rest of the board. >> yes. >> thank you, for that presentation. and the time contranlt. i think i agree -- with the convention let me go through my notes i believe that the treasure islanding absolutely for branding that will be very helpful for us when we market you know that area. the building one the upon transpacific plaza absolutely again the history of that of you know exposition of the west coast absolutely. clipper cove. that is there. clipper cove our clipper cove is significant because it is the only place in the bay area and not america that we would hear is good for sailing or training. that is why that is great. the promenade. the building 2 the pan am that is there. building 3 i'm ambivalent about that afteriator park or court is better. i did in the like the comments i think that should be because the word there, you know it denotes a lot of stuff to people. i think we can have a better name from that. or instead of coming to so. that is one and i don't like that name. nachapel instead is a brand we need to honor the use and assistant of that. instead of green assume a garden or grove that would be a city side park, yes. convention is already there. and back to the comments i will not think we come up with a better way for place am of that. those are my congratulations thank you for the presentation. any other comments? um -- just -- one. um -- the -- city side park or whatever, what are we calling now? who is like admit grand promenade. it is called city side park. treasure island calling it? i thought we were calld that the per in the [inaudible]. >> yea. she is right the area between the avenue of pams and the star barque bar ax used to be called the great lawn. i like. >> yea. >> the others thing to consider about city side park and also the commons and i'm using those names for everyones. is this there will be multiple spaces within those parks which will likely have their own names. as keep go forward. the first walk of city side park does include a large lawn area and then progressively as city side park goes north it becomes more natural in its landscaping and planting. so the -- you know if possible within city side park that first block including large grass area and turf area may be called the great lawn within city side park. something tolls think about when we think about you know -- the east side commons or green way gardens. each block may have their own garden name. there were presentations before -- where one block of that might be a dog park and one might be a -- cmg the swing space with play swings for young and -- grown people as well. there may be beyond the large park level there will be other naming opportunity as well. >> thank you for that. city side park is the west side of the i lands. you are right there will be a large lawn area we may call the great lawn. there is going to be some wild areas there may be a different name. does somebody own the name pan am now. will that be a problem? >> good question. mike. do you finish they searched the providence of the name? we will check but i believe the name was pan american air ways based on that graphic, you see. i think it is for short and not exactly the same name that was used historically. it is pan american air way it is for short. we will double check for that. >> thank you. >> might have hold a trade mark on that. i don't know. >> >> okay. and anybody else? i have i'm sorry. go ahead. is it possible can you go become to the list of names. building one plaza i go with pacific u nitsy because that was the good to promote. you know you are right the first thing i thought about the airline. that is the first thing i associated with and that is killing my age i wonder -- people are going do give. will be confusion? you know living on the island all these years i can't say that many of the residents here make that connection. you know or if most in san francisco do. we know this is where most people then and there is where to most connect it with the naval base. >> yes. >> so -- question i have about the gardens. the cultural part that is in the area the chapel is now. are the flowers removed will they be -- replanted or -- taken away. or replaced the ones there originally? you talking about the planting? >> yea. a cultural park that says chapel garden the rose gardens were around the chapel. will those be reupon plant. the original bushes? this is something this people are going to associate with that area? . the plan is to keep the chapel there will be event lawn around it and the grove. there was no plan to replant the rose garden. now i'm looking at the name that is a great idea. guarden i think flowers chapel green or chapel glen. i'm thinking that people i know come we moved here so many anniversaries and people who got married there i think this is one thing that will be come to remember and stick out as far as history wise. may be not you know -- person history and local history. the hanger yard anything but that. aviator's park. sounds good. nothing else the kids want to find out what that is. i'm no , i think linda east and west side is confusing. so like we did sunset. sunset and sunrise. i think, iel this is it for me. >> we am open to the public. there is no public comment. >> all right. no public comment. ure gotten our -- comments from the board i hope you will take that under consideration. and and then when do you come back to us this next month? yes. final approval >> okay, good >> thank you. >> thank you. thank you for your presentation today. >> okay. so -- next item on the agenda. item 9 discussion of future agenda items by directors. yes. linda. imented echo when we said before commissioner tsen held a commissioner's and [inaudible] concerns [inaudible] -- we need to we will be talking about the director to really trying to -- we are at a point we will show case treasure island. it is okay we have the museum. and all the other people there. all kinds of interests reminds ourselves and the public this is a signature project in north america not many like this. and the communications to the press and to the community and i think this is where we are now. i have not seen why we did not have presentation we are commissioners that are driving this [inaudible] and our director this is important project. this is a glitch something we need to do if we do not to be proactive others are going to tell us the stories of the island and we are going to be frustrated when there is dips information, misinformation we are obligated to be at the driver's seat to tell the stories of how this projects are coming along. what are of the merits and benefits. for treasure island and the san francisco area this is a big area project. so i want to put this in there. and the housing i want to say that the director would like to talk to nonprofits housing provider service. appear before tide at a point and ask them questions and they help us to say, no. put it that on record help all of us including the supervisors who are hearing this misinformation and they are very concerned. okay. thank you. >> thank you. and any other items for discussion for future agenda items? >> i think we have to discuss this muni situation. with the construction and traffic it is a regular complaint how the buses are running and how they are not making to all the stops. people seat bus turning and going around the construction and running late. they cut out a half of the island it is affecting people a lot. we already have a shortage on the school bus. when you got people coming in trying to get out -- no audio. >> i think you got cut off. we get the jist of when you were saying. which it is the problems with the bus service. and although that is not directly under tida, over site, we are planning have muni come to a board meeting we were hoping when we had the on island meeting to have it there. is there a way to get a report from muni? >> i can request from port we had a muni representative come to the august community meeting. >> okay >> which is a virtual exercise but -- they participated with one treasure island and tida in our august community meeting call. >> okay. they have come and am may be the next meeting which we hope will happen in fall in november they can be invited again. municipal senot under tida. and that is a separate against of the city. the buses are cutting the routes because they are held up during bauftz construction. which affecting. >> right >> we should take that up with muni and have them give us a report. on that. yea. >> okay. >> so -- any other items? no. okay. then if this is the case i think we can adjourn. is this right? nothing else. >> yes. thank you. >> all right. all of you have a good september and we will look forward to seeing you in october. >> thank you. >> all right. >> the tenderloin is home to families, immigrants, seniors, merchants, workers and the housed and unhoused who all
