We do have a copy and we are not showing it because theres a lot in here people might find objectionable or offensive or worse. Many in the Muslim Community say the whole magazine especially the cover, is insulting and provocative to their religion. But it is edgy. I think theres a curiosity factor about this. It is a very edgy magazine high brow satirical. Their goal is to make humor, poke fun. There are strong messages in the magazine and in the commentary for the need to be a secular country, not dominated by religion or religious extremists. Jabs at the pope as well as a lot of jabs at jihadis coming back from the war to try to integrate into france being turned away, being ridiculed, that sort of thing. But it is basically a curiosity factor. I believe there are auctions on ebay where editions are selling for thousands of dollars. If theyre going to print 2 million copies i suspect theyll be snapped up quickly as well. As i said it is almost impossible. Impossible now to get a copy of this they went in minutes and people lined up overnight to try to get one. But the issue of publishing, not publishing, we believe the magazine has the absolute right to publish even derogatory material attacking religious figures, whether the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, or other prophets. But we also reserve the right to be offended by these derogatory representations, and react to them in a peaceful manner to challenge with more speech to counter act sometimes good speech. So we believe in freedom of speech, we believe in freedom of expression, but we also have the right to respect our own religious figures and object peacefully when they are denigrated. And that is the message not just from your organization but a number of other moderate if you have to put that description in front of the word muslim but moderate muslims, and followers believe you have a right to not pick up that copy you have a right to be offended but they have the right to the publication. And the portrayal with that said is that the message that you hope is the overwhelming perception obviously of people who follow islam, not the extremists with the startling and heart stopping video, but one that you can be tolerant and still be offended. I mean just as muslims worldwide reject terrorism, reject religious extremism, they also reject gratuitous insults to their faith and any faith. Muslims objected and we as an organization objected when the socalled artist put a crucifix in a jar of urine. We objected when another artist made an image of mary mother of jesus, peace be upon him using elephant dung. Many americans object when a flag is burned. But they wouldnt have a law that prevents flag burning, even though they reserve the right to object to it. Thats the same thing as muslims. You have the right to be even an antimuslim bigot if you want but we reserve the right to object to bigotry and to speak out peacefully against it. The judge denied his attorneys request for delay in jury selection, in light of recent terror attacks in paris. Reporter we are talking about delaware Air National Guard base at the new castle commercial airport just outside wilmington. And employees reported seeing suspicious individuals who may have been surveilling the base at least they thought so. They reported it and by the way they reported that they appeared to be men at one point, four men who appeared to be of mid eastern origin, arabic perhaps, in a vehicle who appeared to be suspicious. It was reported to base security and the general in charge of the base immediately raised the threat level at the base to bravo, which increases the security level as well just in an overabundance of caution. Not only because of the events in the terrorist attacks in paris last week but also because that happens to be just about 15 minutes from the delaware home of Vice President joe biden, he occasionally flies in there. No indication that he flew in there recently but the commander there put the base on alert. Did not go up the chain of command, he took the action on his own, again emphasizing that u. S. It is stressing that everybody on board the station is safe and they do not believe there was an ammonia leak on board the station. Out of abundance of caution earlier this morning, all six crew members moved to the russian side of the station, because of concern there might be an ammonia problem. Earlier this morning an alarm went off on the american side of the station, about 3 45 a. M. East coast time. Mission control saw an increase in water loop pressure then increase in cabin pressure. Those two issues could be indicative of an ammonia leak something thats very serious, poses a very serious risk to the traunts. All six crew members, you have americans, russians one italian, told to don emergency oxygen masks and go to the russian side where the readings were normal. They then closed that section, closed the hatch, were told they could take off masks and wait. They waited thought they were given the all clear, went back to the american side the alarms went off again. They went back to the russian side yet again, closed the hatch again. Thats where we stand now. Nasa now says it believes this is a false alarm, that sensors may have gone bad or given them a bad reading. They believe it is safe on board and it is likely that in fact the americans will be allowed to go back to the american side of the station. An ohio man is in custody undergoing a 45 day mental evaluation after being accused of plotting to kill House Speaker john boehner. Investigators say michael hoyt came in frequent contact with boehner, was a bartender for five years at the House Speakers country club and served him many times. Speaker boehner took to the house floor in the past hour addressing a controversial dhs funding bill making no mention of the incident. Investigators say hoyt threatened to kill boehner in october, saying he thought the speaker of the house was the devil and responsible for the ebola virus. Luke, obviously the allegations are true the access the man had to the House Speaker are chilling given he was a bar tender and was there many times. It is frightening, in fact. We know that john boehner sort of knew mr. Certainly a chilling incident in ohio his home state. And as far as mr. Hoyts background he was treated for psychotic episode two years ago. As we mentioned, he has a 45 day mental examination, and House Speaker told investigators as you well know he did not recall any negative interactions with this individual. Right, and that he sort of just knew him as the bartender. I think what also is frightening about this is the contact this individual had with House SpeakerJohn Boehners wife as you mention, sending her those emails, essentially saying i could have killed your husband. Thats not something that would be taken lightly by any spouse so this was somebody who is definitely in the speakers purview and had direct access which i think is one of the reasons why Law Enforcement is taking this seriously, and from what i heard, tamron will reevaluate things moving forward if perhaps they need to have more sets of eyes on these types of developments.
