Senate Intelligence Committee ranking said it was briefed. But there is more than what facebook released publicly. Which is kind of interesting. When we say the russians are back, are the hacking is back or influence, it never left. Never. In fact its changed. Its morphed. What is this now that facebook has said that is has discovered and suspended . So, what facebook did yesterday was identified over 30 new pages that they identified ongoing Russian Operations trying to influence on smaed ya. And they shed us example ads from these accounts that were drawing people in, into different groups based on their identity, based 0en whether they were into proleft resistance. But narrowly. Very narrow interests. Very narrow interests, ranging from another kind of problack Activism Group to a mindfulness group. Interestingly enough. And prohispanic and south American Heritage group. What they did is once they were in the groups, once they
gathered them, hey, do you like these Different Things . They would start to drive motre Divisive Political messages at them. What we discovered is facebook showed us sort of superficial samples yesterday of ads for these groups. But my colleague and i went into the Web Archiving and found samples of these pages before facebook took them down and there were far more incendiary content that facebook did not show to us in this sort of partial reveal. Its 30 accounts that they found. Is that limited to 30 . Or could it be 300 . And they havent found the rest yet . It could be a million. Only facebook knows whats happening, and to what degree. They apply the limited sort of Search Method based on linking Internet Research agency, the russian Patrol Farm Page Administrators to those who are temporarily heads of the pages. That was the method they used for detecting it. But we cant know what we dont know. There could be many more out there still active. There is still no concerted coordinated effort on the part of the american government. If we looked at this type of attack from a foreign agent, like if another country were sending bombs here, our government would get on the same page. Its extraordinary that were not on the same page here knowing how damaging this is. Seems like no one knows how to fight this cyber war. If there was shut it down. If you shut facebook down what about sanctions against facebook. Thats not being discussed. When is someone going to drop the hammer and talk about holding the companies liable for the information in a is exploitsed on their platforms and they are profiting. Theyre getting money. Ive seen data recently on the average pay workers thats gone up. I also i think what youre referencing is eci. It accounts for the entire worker. For example, if the cost of health care for that worker also
goes up, its it looks as though theyve gone up. When in fact their wages havent. It just costs more to employ them. Thats not really good data. Okay. I think it is good data and i do think it shows in general wages going up. I can speak to my company. Our wages are up about 10 to 11 since the beginning of 2017. Did you have minimum Wage Employees . Some. And definitely a lot closer to minimum wage. Were an industrial business. We appreciate that. Wage growth is lower under trump than obama. If you take the last 18 of obama and first of trump. Does he win in the cultural war if people dont see economic gains . And how do you blend that . When youre a republican donor . Hes got a whole lot of people who are not gaining economically. I do think he wins. And i also point to the Unemployment Numbers down since he got into office. I think wages and whether wages have gone up or not, which i think they have a little bit is important, but the Unemployment Number and people working is also a huge factor. I think that trump has got go let me show you this. This is the wage Growth Numbers under trump. You can see the black line is wage growth under obama and you can see in 2009, during the recession, see how that dropped dramatically. Negative because of the recession and saw negative until about 2013, 2014, then in 15 and 16, 17 and look what happened under trump. Im thrilled about the jobs number. I think its amazing. But its a continuation. Its a continuation. Heres one thing that i dont get that maybe you could help me understand. Unemployment is supper low. President is saying all of these great americans have jobs. How do you square that off with saying we dont want any of

The gdp number in the first five quarters of trump being in office is about 2. 55 . Gdp growth during the entire obama was 2. 08 . So were getting an acceleration in Economic Growth and i personally think its accelerating. We can agree on that. Inventory numbers down. But this last quarter was weird, right . Because we sold way more soy
beans to everybody than wed ever buy. Thats not going to sustain. Thats because of the tariffs. 90 billion increase in the number. Increase in exports is only about 12 or 20 of that 90 billion. When you thats not a complete solution. When you shave it out were back to the 2 and change you talked about. And declining inventory numbers. Thats and the q 2 gdp growth, theres room for acceleration. We end up at roughly 3 number, thats good. Did obama ever achieve no, he did not. No. He didnt. He did. On a quarterly level but not annual. Trump is going to do it. I guess thats what sticks out to me. I were going to leave it there. Everything youre saying are positive trends. When you talk about gdp for a quarter and President Trump getting above 4 , were applauding him and saying great,
lets see where we go next quarter but when he immediately follows that up obama never did it and his son repeats that, thats where we are confused. Maybe this is why the Koch Brothers do have somewhat of a split. It doesnt need to make sense. You dont need to lie when youre doing something thats working. We need to get legislators who will immediately file legislation to make the sharing of these files illegal but who will also make sure that possession and distribution of plastic undetectable weapons is not only against the law but punishable by a really serious fine and jail time. And there is some legislation under way at the moment, and your State Senator has something. Yes, and he got blocked by mike lee as well. Unfortunately the legislation to go through requires majority. And that didnt happen yesterday. This election coming up in november is everything. We need to send an orange wave of people who believe in gun safety to the polls. And we need to fire those who
just simply wont do the right thing for our safety. Fred, you didnt plan to have this become your lifes work. Who your daughter jamie lost her life, your life changed forever. The president yesterday tweeted about these 3d printed guns and said hes going to talk to the nra. If the president called you, what would you say . He should be calling you. Because, again, when he says im talking to the nra, hes telling the world, im speaking to a special Interest Group who is pro gun. But lets give the president the benefit of the doubt, lets say he wants to speak to all sides. The president of the United States calls you and says, fred. What do you say to him . You know, from the day i buried my daughter which was the day he actually tried to drag the Parkland Shooting Victims into the russia investigation, ive been really hard on this president. And he deserves it. He has been, honestly, terrible. I heard your last segment. Hes been, yes, dishonest. And he has unleashed the worst Safety Crisis in the history of this country on the domestic homeland as far as im concerned. That said, what i would say to him if he called me, is i will embrace anybody who wants to do the right thing for the safety of the citizens of this country. And if he wants to meet with me and bring in members of the other side as well, im all for it. Anyone who wants to talk about how to bring safety to the citizens of this country and stop making it about this political nonsense that is this conversation is now being driven by a bunch of anarchists. Translation an important conversation. Thank you. This week Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the Justice Department would launch a religious liberty task force. He intends to use the departments resources to protect people and businesses from unjust discrimination
against their, quote, sincerely held religious believes. Joining us now is pastor Jonathan Wilson hargrove. Pastor, help us understand this. Jeff sessions made the announcement at a religious Liberty Summit on monday which was backed by the Alliance Defending freedom. Walk us through what all of those terms mean. Sounds good, Alliance Defending freedom. But what do they actually mean, sir . Yeah, its important to know the history of these groups. The former president of the Alliance Defending freedom, in 2003, wrote a book in which he said clearly that the biggest threat to religious freedom in the United States is the, quote unquote, homosexual agenda. This is a pretty extreme group that has been working very hard to limit the civil rights of lgbtq folks in the country. I think the thing that has to be said is that religious liberty
is being hijacked, it has been by these Fringe Groups for some time, but now the Department Of Justice is embracing them and bringing with it a kind of dangerous redefining of religious liberty. The thing that i want to say as a minister is that we have to be really clear that yes, religious liberty is central to the constitution. Theres a First Amendment right. Theres also a 14th Amendment. And, you know, my First Amendment rights end where my neighbors 14th Amendment equal protection under the law begins. You wrote a piece for nbc think in which you say, it is not enough for christian nationalists to freely exercise their vision of good life in the name of liberty. They want to right to discriminate against others, against those with whom they disagree. This is the point youre making, religious freedom is something everybody should embrace. This is something different. And it has a long history. We have to look back to the Civil Rights Era when, you know, Jeff Sessions was coming up in the Methodist Church in alabama. And many good christian people in alabama at that time argued that they had a religious liberty to have private Christian Schools that would exclude africanamericans after the Supreme Court had ruled in brown. And so this has a history. Its deeply rooted in what ive called Slave Holder Religion. Its been passed down generation through generation. Its deeply disturbing that the Justice Department, this administration, has embraced that Slave Holder Religion because they see it as bringing out their basine. If the Task Force Wants to deny services to protected groups i have to end, i just looked at the clock and realized were at the end of our show. Jonathan wilson hargrove, thank you for joining us.
