Nation wide. According to an election expert from the university of florida, 28 states have surpassed their 2014 midterm totals. When its all said and done, he expects all 50 states to exceeds their 2014 early vote. Does that mean georgia, a deep red state, is ready to turn blue . Republicans say no. The numbers are indisputable proof that voters on both sides of the aisle are energized. In the final weekend before the midterm, the former and current president s were out on the campaign trail making sure they stay that way trump and obama criss cross the country offering different visions for a divided america. Democrats are openingly encouraging million of illegal aliens to break our laws and destroy our nation in so many different ways. Im hopeful that on tuesday we are going to cut through the lies and the noise and the nonsense. I hope well remember who we are. Earlier today obama was in virginia rallying voters on behalf of tim kaine. In 45 minutes trump will make his final push at a rally in ohio. A state he won by eight points in 2016. The big question were asking is who will benefit from the massive number of people who cast their ballots before november 6th . Our road warriors are out on the campaign trail this election eve. Guy guy, its going to be an exciting season. He talk about this race across the country is like a pointing. Each dot looks different right now but when you back up youll see the whole picture. We want to focus on the dots right now. Focus on those local races. See whats happening. I want to start with you. Georgia is making National Headlines in t headlines. In the final hours whose message is working . Is it brian kemp or is it stacy abrams . Is the investigation into the democrat packs or the racist robocalls or the accusation of Voter Suppression. Are any of those topics coming into play who youre seeing at the early vote or talking to in diners or across the state . I think they are coming into play with some of voters. Were here in cobb county because its stronger but for the last election, 2016, for the first time cobb county voted for a democrat, Hillary Clinton. I want to bring in, you talk about energized voters. Let me talk to rose van dyke. Youre in reali estate. You told me how youre feeling. How do you feel . Its very important. Are you ready to vote . Im read. You decided not to vote early. Why not . Usually i vote on tuesday, election day. I thought my vote might weigh more on that day. Youre going to tell us who you will vote for . No. All the conversations around Voter Suppression and whether absentee ballots are being counted, does that weigh on you in terms of who you will vote for for . Not at all . Why not . I feel ive made up my mind. Im ready to vote for my candidate. Thanks very much. Shoes voting. A lot of people have voted. They were talking about wa was t the voter turn out. Theres Something Like 6. 9 million. On a third of those voters came out to vote last time. It will be much different this time. Nvr evada is a purple state. Republicans want to keep dean heller in his state. Jacky rosen declares she believes she will win. How does that look on the ground there . What are voters telling you . Reporter there was a new poll that had rosen up about four points. I wouldnt trust any of the polling now. We see it bounce back and forth. Most of the polling has been within the margin of error. Theres broad enthusiasm on both sides from everybody we talked to across this state. Weve been looking at the numbers for early voting has been ridiculous. Some of that will skew the polling. That is expected on into election day. Were in north las vegas. Were out canvassing along side the culinary union. This massive Political Organization for jacky rosen. Before this we caught up with jacky rosen talking about hopes of the democratic chances for the senate. Basically resting on her shoulders. We wanted to find out if all that pressure is getting to her. Heres what she said. The democrats have put the hopes of flipping the senate on your shoulders. Can you talk about what the pressure of that has been like for you. I keep my head down. When i come into rooms like this, i get cards and letters from all across the country and i talk to people and they tell me their stories. Thats what keeps me going. Reporter we have drew and mari maria. 57,000 members strong. Theres about 350 out this day before election day canvassing for jacky rosen. You see them going door to door. They hit about 400,000 doors in all this election say. Its a very powerful union in place here in a union town in vegas. Back to you. No doubt about that. They havent been so happy with donald trump in the past. Steve, thank you so much. Lets go to jacob who is in california. Jacob, there are a number of races in california that could turn the tables for democrats in the house. I believe youre in danas district. What are you doing there . What are you seeing . Reporter seven different toss up districts in california alone. Were in none of them now. You might ask why, what are we doing here . Go somewhere else. This the neil kelly. Hes the registrar of Orange County. He will be counting ballots from four gift toss up districts. Lucky me. I feel kind of bad for him. Check this out. They are already counting ballots. They have over 400,000 absentee ballots already returned. Neil, youve had like a record surge in early voting. Something like 130 . We have. Its 130 of what it was in the president ial election. They are counting all these ballots. Whats going on . These are incoming in todays mail. Were processing them to capture the signature so they can go to the opening phase. When you say 130 over president ial, do we know if they are democrats or republicans . Its a mix. The early in person turn out is higher on the democrats. Vote by mail is higher by the republicans. These are ballots coming through in realtime. Have you ever seen a turn out on a midterm level as extreme as this . Not in 15 years doing this. This is huge. Are you ready for tomorrow . Were ready. Four different toss up districts. It could be decided in this building. What the does that feel like . Feels like weve been prep e preparing for years. Back to you. Were going to go to local reporters in california, arizona and texas later to find out the issues they think are motivating voters out there. In the meantime, i do want to go to our own Steve Kornacki who is at the big board. We have a sampling of a few races in a couple different places. What are you seeing across the country . One of the questions to ask in the democrats, take a look at the house side here. The net gain of 23 seats they need. Take a closer look here at the battleground. All this yellow. We go with 66 republican held districts where the democrat s have their best chance. They need a net gain of 22 to do it. These are the districts. Its only 25 of these. I think we have i thought i heard a wrap. I thought it might be breaking news. Dont listen to anybody in the control room. Take a page out of my book. Never listen to the control room and do whatever you want to do. I panic because i think its breaking news. I cant talk over that. Dont worry. Keep talking. We have 25 districts. The key with these districts is these are republican districts that Hillary Clinton already won. My question is, clearly democrats will make gains here. Are the gains going to be primarily in these districts or are we going to be talking about that much more expansive group. Is this benefitting from 2016 that held republican held seats that voted for Hillary Clinton or will this be democrats winning back some of those trump areas. I think thats a key question im looking at. Thats a question question. A reminder, always ignore the control room. Thanks so much. Kasie hunt is with us as well. The knower of everything congressional. You went all around the country last week. Youre now in new york. Talk to me about where the balance of power will shift, in your opinion, and what that will mean for the house of representatives. Potentially for the senate and ultimately for donald trump. I think right now we have a lot of data showing that democrats are heading for a very strong night across the map in the house of representatives. I will say everybody seems a bit burned by 2016. There are a lot of people that im talking to who are very hesitant to lean into that data and predict a wild night for democrats. I think every one feels like maybe we dont know all the things we thought we did. The biggest question here is what does this electorate look like. The question is who are these people and what is motivating them to come out to the polls. I have to say in traveling across the heart land last week, i was feeling like i picked up on bit of a backlash against the president s focus on immigration. The republican candidates that i talked to who were in swing areas, thats not what they wanted to talk about. They tried hard to change the subject. I also found among democratic voters they were very aware of this message the president was pushing and it was making them more excited to get out and vote. Its interesting is i went to a trump rally for the first time in two years yesterday. I was curious about what sort of things he would hit. Bryi brian kemp had an ad about rounding up illegals in his truck. Its also something hes not aired in the general election. He needs to get more moderate women out there to vote for him in other words to offset the enthusiasm hes seeing for women on the stacy abrams side. What would that mean for donald trump and camp yesterday when they rally together. I guess the question was a pretty easy one to answer. Donald trump will do what donald trump sdoes. He banged on about immigration and the caravan. Called stacy abrams an extremist and said she will make it a sanctuary state. The folks in that crowd ate that sort of thing up. If shes able to pull it off, what will be the number one reason why shef was able too do that . Women and africanamericans. Georgia is a at a time like texas. A lot of strategists are saying the demographics are changing. More young people are moving into the atlanta area. The reality is it hasnt changed its fundamental character. This really is incredibly remarkable when you think about it in that context. Stay iscy abrams has not run th jimmy carter play book. You think of a democrat that could win in a southern state. Its the opposite of that. Its an interesting test. The one thing i will say about President Trump is his main lesson is what happened in 2016. Everybody told him he couldnt win and he did any way. Theres danger for every politician in running the last race instead of race that youre in now. I do think were going to have a very instructive lesson in how the electorate has changed around President Trump in the last two years. Yeah, were going to find out if 2018 looks like 2016 or if it looks like something else. Karen handle won the republican one. She might lose. She might lose. Thats a race were also going to be watching while were here. Thank you very much. We appreciate it. With a day to go, georgias secretary of state who is the republican candidate for governor is making a big claim of election interference but hes not providing any evidence. Will it have an impact on the race. Ive always been amazed by whats next. And still going for my best, even though i live with a higher risk of stroke due to afib not caused by a heart valve problem. So if theres a better treatment than warfarin. I want that too. Eliquis. Eliquis is proven to reduce stroke risk better than warfarin. Plus has significantly less major bleeding than warfarin. Eliquis is fdaapproved and has both. Whats next . Reeling in a nice one. Dont stop taking eliquis unless your doctor tells you to, as stopping increases your risk of having a stroke. Eliquis can cause serious and in rare cases fatal bleeding. Dont take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. While taking eliquis, you may bruise more easily and it may take longer than usual for any bleeding to stop. Seek immediate medical care for sudden sign of bleeding, like unusual bruising. Eliquis may increase your bleeding risk if you take certain medicines. Tell your doctor about all planned medical or dental procedures. Eliquis, the number one cardiologistprescribed blood thinner. Ask your doctor if eliquis is whats next for you. I am a techie dad. N. I believe the best technology should feel effortless. Like magic. At comcast, its my job to develop, apps and tools that simplify your experience. My name is mike, im in Product Development at comcast. Were working to make things simple, easy and awesome. Were back live on this georgia eve. The secretary of state has made a claim of election interference. Georgia secretary of state is brian kemp. The current nominee for governor. Hes overseeing his own election and is yet to back up any evidence of his hacking allegation that he made yesterday morning. Joining me from georgias radio host presley and latasha brown. Every one welcome. Lets talk first a bit about the claims and the accusation that kemps office made yesterday that democrats tried unsuccessfully to hack into the Voter Registration rolls. It woultd seem the secretary of state made this claim without any evidence of hacking. They are investigating. We dont know whether or not the fbi is in on the case as well. I saw it across local news yesterday. How much of an effect do you think that will have on the electorate here in georgia. Our Television State released poll results that found almost half of voters have concern their votes will not count or perhaps their ballots will not matter. Obviously theres been great debate and reporting over the course of this campaign about the issue of Voter Suppression. In looking at the allegations that the office has made, do you believe it . What did he do immediately when he made this accusation . He turned it over to the department of Homeland Security and the fbi. Thats not something you do when youre perpetrating a political stunt. His name is on the line. Youre not going to say Something Like that two days out from the election. We have to trust they have some information. This is the fog of war two days out. Why would he not bring it up yesterday at his rallies . He was standing next to donald trump and he didnt say a word about it. I dont think this is what he wants to be talking about with 48, 24 hours to go before the election. Hes in a place where if there was somebody trying to hack the system, in order to make the argument that he hasnt been a good steward of those websites and database then he has to go out there. Youre saying this is false flag to show that he hasnt been a good steward . I think thats something they had to be thinking about. Do you have any evidence of that . No. They have to act fast. Thats the only way this will matter in the election. I want to put up a bit of history here when it comes to the election systems in georgia. If im wrong about this, you tell me. All right. Back in august of 2016, secretary of state, the department of Homeland Security alerts georgia about election vulnerabilities. December 2016, he accused the Obama Administration of hacking georgias computecomputers. The states system is to vulnerable to hacking in summer 2017. He rebuffed dhs initially when it came to getting help to secure up the systems. Then he accused the Obama Administration of trying to get into the systems without any evidence it was long. Theres the Voter Suppression that the allegations that are out there when you look at these put together, what do democrats think is going on . I think we see what is happening. This is political propaganda at its finest. Theres pattern here. Once before when he said that obama hacked. When he had information that the system could be vulnerable, he did nothing. Here it is to the extent its vulnerable, what has he done and his office since hes the officer to oversee it. I think this is political propaganda. Because of Voter Suppression and the wide Voter Suppression thats been going on across the states where we know people have been showing up to polls and their names are not on the rolls. We know people that have been registered, been dropped from registration. Theres been organizations that had to take his office to court to make sure that the right to vote is protected. Theres so much information about there, i think theres some fear. I think this is a way to do a bait and switch game. Federal judges have ruled that brian kemps office needs to make it easier for some of the people who have been held up to vote. They need to mike it easier to correct the discepancies. They need to show proof of citizenship at the polls. Repanc. They need to show proof of citizenship at the polls. I have a question about the voters that are being held up. In looking at the statistics of whose vote is on hold, 73 of the 53,000 are africanamericans. Why does it disproportionately affect africanamericans . I dont know the answer to that. I know that africanamericans voter vote the same percentage as white voters. We registered 900,000 new voters. Thats a startling number. One third of early voters this year didnt vote four years ago. Brian kemp has registered more voters in the state than any secretary of state in our states history. The idea this is Voter Suppression. If theres a Voter SuppressionCampaign Going on its a failure. What hes been enforcing on the exact match isnt his regulation. That was state law. He had no choice in the matter. The people on that list can call vote. Not the republican or democrat strategy. Thank you. Give us the last word on this. The last word is to brians statement theres been more voters registered in the state for this election than ever before. It is a fact that part of the Abrams Campaign strategy has been to go out and to get those never voters, first time voters on the rolls. On my radio show this week we talked to the Georgia League of voerts and they had the top three list of things for voters to do tomorrow. Bring your government issued id. They te
