i was in the fire department for 32 years. my son jimmy was a firefighter and 29 years old. and i saw my son in the lobby of the world trade center. i saw the chief send him up. who knows if they run up to their death. tears you apart, you're like, "don't go up those stairs. don't go up those stairs. don't go." 'cause you know what's gonna happen. he did his job, and he died a hero. - all that we know right now is the two airplanes struck the two large towers of the world trade center. we spoke to the white house. there also apparently was an attack on the pentagon. - it was one of my first couple of days of high school. i didn't talk to my father for most of that day.
