decision last night she has to, as she often has in the past, mind their concerns ultimately more than others at this point. those are the members who are concerned about the political fallout for all of this one way or the other, and so the speaker is calling the shots here, and now the question is, to use your show's framing, what the president will do to help see this through. they -- the other takeaway from members was the president does need to lean in here to make it clear to all side as what is on the line for them politically, to show whatever political capital he still has at this point and he's willing to use it to try to see this through. and there are a number of senior white house officials who have been on the hill, living on the hill, and the takeaway last night as well is they actually need to be a little more aggressive, to offer more sticks and less carrots as they're trying to see this through. >> certainly washington
