>> and as a -- um-hmm. and as a black woman, aunt gloria, just how does it feel? i know it's great to see all these unbelievably talented and qualified black women under consideration, but did you ever -- did you ever think that you would be alive to see a black woman actually sit on the court? >> no, i didn't. and i guess i became optimistic once barack obama became president. before, i didn't think any of this would happen, you know. i thought it was a generation away, that i would not see this. it's just so wonderful to see this, and to see us moving forward. i continue to hope that happens because i see so many incidents about affirmative action, about voting, it's like we're going around in circles. let's just move forward.
