On Capitol Hill an impending Government Shutdown may be averted for now after congressional leaders struck a deal on a shortterm bill that would fund the government through march. The bipartisan agreement between Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Mike Johnson would need to pass both houses before noon on friday. Its still unclear if johnson has the votes among the more right wing members of his caucus. If it passes with democratic help, that could put his job in jeopardy.
