community should be alarmed by that. and i believe in the christian scriptures it says, jesus said in matthew, when i was naked you clothes me, when i was hungry, you fed me. when i was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. but here it is, what you do to the least of these, you do to me. so it is our response to care for those who need love and compassion. it is hard to come out of the closet. but it is harder to stay in the closet. and i believe that closets of clothes! so it is our responsibility to provide a safe space and an authentic space for all people. no matter who they are. >> when you have provided that space, when you have created that sense of community, what is it that you hear from people who may not have found that anywhere else? >> absolutely.
