There are more than 170 facilitates in kumamoto like that but only 135 have taken people in after the recent quakes. This nursing home was supposed to accept 20 people but so far has only been able to take in one. Its operators say they were flooded with an unexpected amount of requests for shortterm stays after the first large quake hit on april 14th. Translator these are all short stays. We are operating at Maximum Capacity now. We want to accommodate more people but just cant. Reporter to ease the burden, some facilities outside kumamoto have offered to help. This nursing home is taking in some elderly people who need special assistance. Yoshi is 902 years old. He has dementia and trouble walking. His home in kumamoto is too damaged to return to.
