and investigate we spoke with another passengers who was on the plane, as well and we're including his eyewitness account in our 11:00 p.m. report we are putting together right now. live from the sat center henry rossoff for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> scary for those passengers. thanks very much, henry. pilot is killed after his plane crash necessary to sussex county, new jersey this morning. the amateur built aircraft crashed at end of the trica airport runway. no pass eveningers were on board at the time. airport says that their runway s are popular with ultra light aircraft, so far the identity of the pilot has not been released and faa is currently investigating. also about 12 hours earlier, a small plane was with three people on board crashed and caught fire in pits town, new jersey. pilot and his two passengers were conscious and transported to nearby hospitals. the plane was headed from blairs town airport to sky man or airport when it crashed about 10:30 on saturday. the federal aviation administration is investigating the cause of this crash, as well. developing tonight, a septa maintenance employee is carjacked in philadelphia at fourth and spring garden, septa officials say suspect was armed, and took off in the car, early this morning. the car was then used in an armed robbery in new jersey. police eventually persued the suspect, before the driver crashed the car at eighth and mercy street. the suspect was then immediately arrested. and a balloon floating in to a power line caused an electrical explosion last night in margate. >> oh, my god. >> the blast and subsequent fire occurred near washington and nasi avenue around 18:00 p.m. 2,000 people were without power for at leann hour, or so but luckily there were no injuries to report. and this is not something that you see every day, a pickup truck carrying water melons lost its load earlier today at sixth and race street s in center city philadelphia water melon smashed all over sixth street, this was about 12:30 this afternoon, only one lane was getting by for a short time on sixth street and traffic was jammed in that area. the melon did his provide a bit of the snack for a passing horse, there, you can see right there with the carriage there fire department did assist in the clean up of those water melons. while today was a gorge days to enjoy being outside, cool, dry break will be coming to an end apparently for us but when that is the question? "eyewitness news." >> hoping for a good season. the second is street festival in northern liberties is in full swing at this hour, "eyewitness news" stopped by a little earlier. the event takes over six blocks on 2nd street from germantown all the way to spring garden. the event is free and features food truck, live entertainment, vendors, some of hand made items and nine beer gardens. and you can also still get there. it is open until 10:00 tonight. you got lots of time. the festival is in its 9th year and last year raised $20,000 toward the creation of a business improvement district in northern liberties. a sinkhole that already swallowed two homes and a boat in florida. it is growing larger once again, the sinkhole is in land lakes north of tampa. it opened up july 14th, it's 260 feed wide at its widest. crews say vibrations from trucks and equipment may be causing the hole to grow larger, they plan to push a barge to continue with the clean-up process. nothing but beautiful
